It's a nice spot on the hill overlooking the ocean. Now I'm struggling to find more positives.
The staff are generally not too bad, but make you feel you're bothering them. The bar man told me was 'going the extra mile' when he reluctantly agreed to give me a glass for my beer. Breakfast can take 2 hours if you don't get in early. Reception won't give more water (I had 1 litre in the room for 2 night). You get the idea.
Suggest you look elsewhere.
Went to have some breakfast with Bestie as we had not lived on the same island for many years. Was running a few minutes late but our host Shanic was quite welcoming, helpful and friendly with the most radiant smile throughout our interaction. Breakfast was good. The views are stunning with a constant cool breeze.
My husband and I stayed at Trade Winds Hotel from 21st to 27th June 2026. Our stay was make memorable by the service received from Shanic Edwards. Ms. Edwards was very professional and always engaged us with a smile. Thank you Ms. Edwards for making our stay at Trade Winds more enjoyable.
We visited the Bayhouse Restaurant in the Trade Winds Hotel several times during our recent holiday in Antigua. The restaurant itself is a beautiful addition to the hotel complex, with stunning views over Dickinson Bay and breathtaking sunsets. The menu was varied and we tried several dishes, all of which were delicious and very nicely presented. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, but particular mentions need to go out to Marsha, Erroll and Kenroy, who were more than happy attend to our every need and offer helpful advice and information about the area and the island in general. Thank you for being so attentive, and for helping to make our holiday on your gorgeous island so special.
Clean room and property with good ambiance along friendly and accommodating staff. However, restaurant service tended to be slow.
