Book elsewhere!

Location is convenient with many shops around and easy access to the beach, and the majority of staff friendly however we wouldn’t book again. The food was always the same thing and the drinks were very basic for an all-inclusive. At the smaller/quieter pool you only had a small selection of drinks, so very inconvenient to have to walk back and forth to the main pool to get a “cocktail”.

It is very French centred and much of the entertainment is French.

The worst part was the car horns every single morning at 4/5 AM without fail (we were staying in block 8) . I had to use earplugs and noise cancelling headphones to bear it.

As we were checking out, our door lock had broken and we couldn’t access the room for our suitcases (even with help from housekeeping) and told this to reception, just to be given another room key which didn’t work - resulting in my partner having to use next doors balcony to climb onto our balcony!

Not happy

I wish I had read the reviews the hotel honestly is ok but would be so much better if you were French most of the blame must lie with Jet 2 for misinformation I am already taking action through my solicitor non of the information is in English the entertainment is based on French so what are us British supposed to do my bedroom is ok the maid has been ok the lads behind the bar have been fine I personally can’t wait to see the rep on Monday he will be getting it if I am honest the hotel if it was multi national you could cope food was ok but not great I will wait to see what Jet 2 say before I start spending money for recompense my money

Very good hotel

Do not read the bad reviews. We had a fantastic time at the is hotel. There was plenty of food available to eat. Even with our fussy eater son was able to find things to eat. The restaurant was clean all the time. The swimming pools were excellent. Our son loved the pool with the slides. The bar member at the main pool was amazing (forgot his name) but we thanked him so much for his service. The reception staff were very helpful when we needed any help. We would definitely visit again. Location of the hotel is very good as well. Walking distance to the beach.Rooms were a very good size and the small bed can hold an adult. We stayed in block 6 which we could see the pool. We had no problems with the noise either. You do need to put towels out early but this is a regular situation in many countries in the summer months

Do not book this hotel!

The hotel is extremely underwhelming! From the moment we stepped in we regretted our decision. It is very dated. There is a constant sewage smell outside the hotel. We were charged tax upon arrival (expected) but the reception team also made us pay for our child (under 12) which should have been no cost. There was no offer of help with suitcases to our room, which was a trek up and down lots of steps. No lifts so if you travel with young children and pushchairs please be aware. The room had ants in it. The bathroom was dirty and unkempt. There was a constant mouldy smell. The pools were ok. The areas could have been kept to a better standard. The worst part of our holiday was the restaurant. The food was diabolical. No presentation whatsoever. Same food every night. No snack bar which is a big let down for an all inclusive hotel. Pancakes are served from 4pm every single day with the option of a few sauces & some pastries that are left to dry out in the sun, covered in flies. On our last day we didn’t get picked up until 8pm. We had no option to use a shower and had nowhere to get changed so resorted to getting changed in the public toilet! We did ask at the spa if we could use the showers or changing room but we were refused. As per other reviews, we enjoyed our days out in Morocco. Would highly recommend the quad biking and croc park. If you want to enjoy your stay please do not book this hotel!

Avoid

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! I honestly don’t know where to start with this hotel. If I could give it zero stars, I would. The only reason it is getting one star is because there are four genuinely brilliant members of staff — the older gentleman on security at the front of the hotel, the female cleaner, and the two guys behind the bar. Apart from those four, our experience was an absolute horror show.

Safety around the pool is shocking. My son actually cut his foot open on a piece of glass that was in the pool. On top of that, the brickwork and grates surrounding the pool are damaged, sticking out in places and sunken in others, creating obvious trip and cut hazards. This is especially concerning in a family resort.

Speaking of families, there is absolutely nothing for children. The kids’ club is a complete shambles, and the pool in the kids’ club may as well be a puddle. There is no play area, just an astro football courts which is full of holes and completely shredded in places causeing a trip hazard. If you're booking this hotel because you have children, I would seriously reconsider.

English-speaking guests are clearly not catered for. Pretty much everything is in French, including all the entertainment, so if you're English, don't expect much for you or your family.

Staff were generally rude and ignorant towards us. It felt like unless you were a young woman they could flirt with or you were French, you were simply ignored and pushed to one side.

The hotel is also incredibly loud. Some French guests showed absolutely no consideration for anyone else, with screaming, shouting and general noise continuing throughout the resort at all hours. Security seemed to do absolutely nothing about it. If you're hoping for a peaceful night's sleep, forget it.

Then came the completely unacceptable maintenance situation. At 1am, the maintenance team decided to cut trees down directly outside our hotel room. Branches were falling from a height and smashing against the windows, doors and walls, and there was no warning whatsoever. Yet again, it showed absolutely no consideration for guests.

The food is absolutely dreadful. I wouldn't feed it to a dog. There was food left uncovered, no blue lights, and much of it was extremely stale with a major coating of flies and ants. Hygiene standards appeared to be seriously lacking.

The hotel itself is extremely dated — it genuinely feels like stepping back into the 1990s.

There is also no proper snack bar when the buffet is closed. Instead, you're essentially left with a bread basket sitting outside in the sun. Hardly what you'd expect from a holiday resort.

The key cards constantly stopped working. On our final night, our key card failed again. We went to reception, only to be told we wouldn't be given another one because we were "going home the next day". As a result, we actually had to climb through the window and open the door from the inside. Absolutely ridiculous and potentially dangerous.

And then there's Jet2. We never saw a Jet2 rep on arrival, meaning there was no help whatsoever when we needed it. On the rare occasions we did see a rep and tried to raise issues, we were told things like, "I'm going to a meeting — meet me here in reception at 11am tomorrow." We turned up as instructed, only for the rep not to turn up at all. Completely useless when you actually need support.

Overall, this hotel was one disappointment after another. Poor safety, dreadful food, inadequate facilities for children, excessive noise, dated rooms, poor communication, unreliable key cards and practically no support from the holiday representative . HOWEVER, I want to make it clear that Morocco itself is a completely different story. Agadir is beautiful, the Moroccan people we encountered generally were polite, friendly and helpful, and there is plenty to see and do. So yes, I absolutely recommend visiting Agadir — just PLEASE use a different hotel.
