My wife and I have recently returned from a lovely week away at the TUI Suneo Kenzi Europa (10-17 Sep 26) Arrival. 40 minute coach transfer from airport. Had to carry our bags from the coach to the reception and then to our room once we had checked in, however this was probably because we arrived after midnight when staffing was minimal. Pleasantly surprised that food and soft drinks were made available in the restaurant whilst reception staff were checking in guests. Room. We had a few issues with our initial room in Block 2 (ground floor room with absolutely no view and a faulty lock on the main door). Once we informed reception they promptly moved us the following day once a better room became available. Rooms in Block 2 are modern and very clean. Good aircon, good water pressure and comfortable beds with clean crisp bed linen (we slept very well). Room cleaned daily to a good standard and towels changed when required (it was good to be in a hotel where the housekeeping staff concentrated on cleaning rather than creating fancy towel art as we have experienced elsewhere!). Sadly we didn’t meet our cleaner to say thank you. Dining. We found the food extremely tasty and very well cooked, the restaurant clean and comfortable and the staff very courteous and hard working. Breakfast choices were fresh and included absolutely everything you would normally find in an all-inclusive hotel. Lunch and dinner options were quite similar with lovely pasta dishes and a selection of hot and cold options. We recommend tasting the meats from the outside BBQ grill at lunch time. We enjoyed some lovely beef, lamb and turkey roasts whilst we were there along with some delicious prawn and paella dishes. We would have liked to see more potato and vegetable options to accompany the cooked meats and a more varied soup option each day (too often we ended up eating chips with our meals!). The hot/cold food snack options at the pool were also plentiful, fresh and very tasty. Pool Area. If you want to sit round the pool area, which can get very packed, then you need to be up early to get your sun lounger (we witnessed people putting their towels on loungers at 6 am). If you are happy to sit away from the pool area on the grassy areas as we were then there were no issue getting loungers throughout the day, with the added benefit of being slightly away from the music (which can get loud at times), but still close enough to dip in and out of the pool and use the pool bar. The animation staff made a genuine effort to get to know all guests, but were never pushy in trying to get us to join in with the activities. The pool bar was clean and a nice place to sit and have a drink or two. Beach. The hotel has its own dedicated area on the beach which looked clean and with plenty of sun loungers, although we didn’t use this as there are no food/drink options available and it is not feasible to keep nipping back to the hotel. Staff. We found the staff to be extremely genuine, hard working and courteous. It was good to be in a resort where excellent service was continually provided without the expectation of a tip; as a result it made us more inclined to tip the staff. A big shout out to cleaning staff who kept the communal areas, including the toilets spotless throughout the day. Location. Whilst not directly on the beach, the hotel is ideally located to easily get everywhere within a minute or so, beach, shops, restaurants. We felt extremely safe in Agadir and had some lovely walks out of the hotel of an evening. Weather. Although no time difference from the UK, sunrise and sunset were late than UK. We had some cloudy starts to the day, but by 10am the clouds were always gone and the sun was shining and the temperature hot.

The hotel was very clean in all public areas and bedroom. The staff in bars and restaurants were very friendly and helpful. Pool area was very cramped and not at all inviting, sun beds were available on grassed area. Pool lad was very friendly. Food was dire !! Never was there a matching plate available ie meat.. veg and potatoes. Meat done in sauce was cut too big therefore was tough, veg was over cooked, chicken nuggets hard as rock, pasta bake craggy, lasagne burnt and black on the top. Pasta done with a sauce ie tomato very dry, potatoes always done as wedges, roast, fried, baked, steamed, sautéed or fried ! Without the Resteraunt manager making us mash or jackets we would have gone hungry. Pizza was dough base tomato sauce and either cheese, mushroom, tuna, turkey or pineapple juice only one ! All food was cold. Fish fried, baked, grilled or breaded had no flavour. Salads were varied loads of tinned tuna and sardines no meat. Puddings creamy with no taste. Breads good. Eggs and omelettes for breakfast slimmy. On the whole food was cold, bland and boring !! The TUI rep was marvellous helped us in all ways and was always friendly and full of knowledge. The beach lad was also wonderful helping us every day to get on beach and to a sun bed and was very friendly too. The failure on the beach was the fact there were no toilet facilities available. I think this hotel should be no more than 3* as having travelled around Egypt. Tunisia and Turkey there hotels are far better in all ways. Having spent a month at this hotel I am really put off using TUI again and feel they need to take a good look at doing improvements especially to menu and cooking methods !!
