Dunes d Or Ocean Club

As the title says, the entertainment team go around asking you to leave reviews and hover over you to see what you put before taking pictures to prove to management that they've got them. Because of that I've marked the hotel down to 3 stars rather than the 4 stars I would have given because I think that is quite dishonest ond makes people that are trying to enjoy their holiday feel uncomfortable. I really do hope that management hears this and stops their team from doing it.

Actual holiday was great at this hotel, enjoyed the pool, the terrace area and the food which was delicious most of the time and had a good bit of variety. Had to chuck some things away because of undercooking though, especially the burgers which were always pink in the middle. The drinks were a bit of a let down but i enjoyed the bottled beers when it was hot at the terrace or beach bar and the slushies were refreshin by the pool. The room was good but had a stink of sewage around the room a lot of the time although got sorted towards the end. Staff were great and very friendly from bar team to entertainers. A massive let down was the night entertainment which was very samey each night and no variety at all. Always led to conga and staff trying to get everyone up, forcefully sometimes to dance. Sometimes i just wanted to sit and enjoy the fun rather than being pestered and should learn to take no for an answer. It lead to us going elsewhere quite often to avoid it.

So overall, Morocco and Agadir were fantastic, the hotel and staff were great overall and food very good. Just missing the night entertainment and drinks that i usually love elsewhere. Beach is also great and a lot of trips to so nearby at a great price. Restaurants up the beach especially El Toro are great and reasonably priced. Always haggle prices in shops for clothes etc, can get some great bargains.

The hotel a step away from the beach, private area for hotel guests. My only grudge is that the beach is full of rubbish which isn't the hotels fault, we saw one man with a plastic bag collecting rubbish on his own. The local council we believe are responsible for the clean up, so if they upt their game it would make the beach more enjoyable. Now to the hotel, check in a little slow but this wasn't a problem as whilst you are waiting you can get refreshments from the restaurant and bar. It was my husbands birthday and all I can say is they made his celebrations complete. I would like to mention Samia Customer Relations who is stationed at reception every evening, she was extremely attentive and professional at all times, so thank you for the great customer service we received. Our room overlooked the gardens it was spacious with a huge walk in shower, clean towels daily. The housekeeping staff were thorough. The main restaurant is plentiful with fresh well made food, even oysters one evening. It was clean and the staff clearing tables quickly. The fish restaurant is a must with entertainment soft playing music . The Moroccan restaurant is fantastic again with music, and food was delicious. I must mention Mohammed who gave us great service, topping our wine glasses up as required. There are several pools, we especially liked the slides , they only open 10.30-12.30 then 3.30-5.30 so not open all day though, lifeguard always on duty. The hotel itself is clean and well kept gardens, we will be returning again in the winter can't wait.

Great experience. Fantastic staff who were friendly and helpful. Facilities were superb.

Would recommend and will be back.
