Worst Holliday week in July 2026

would not recommend Caribbean Village Agador. In my opinion, the hotel has not been properly renovated for at least 20 years and is in desperate need of major refurbishment.

We asked several times to change rooms, but unfortunately, every room was in a very similar condition. The mattresses looked extremely old, stained and unhygienic. Even after moving to another room, the bedding was not properly clean. It seemed that unless you complained repeatedly or offered money, basic standards such as clean bedding were not guaranteed.

The air conditioning was another serious issue. In some rooms it did not work at all. When we finally received a room with working air conditioning, the unit was extremely dirty, clearly had not been serviced or cleaned for a very long time, and was so loud that it could probably be heard throughout half of the building. Shortly after returning home, we both developed upper respiratory infections. Our doctor said that the dirty air-conditioning system could have contributed to or aggravated the problem.

The furniture in the rooms was also very old, damaged and dirty. Some of it looked as though it could fall apart if you tried to use it. You were almost afraid to place your clothes inside the wardrobes because they did not feel clean.

The main restaurant was complete chaos at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Finding a clean table or getting cutlery was sometimes almost impossible. Certain foods, particularly freshly grilled items, were strictly portioned for foreign tourists, while local guests appeared to receive larger portions or were served differently.

The food was repetitive, bland and sometimes looked so unappealing that we were afraid to eat it. This is especially disappointing because we ate in several local restaurants outside the hotel and discovered that Moroccan cuisine can be absolutely delicious.

The all-inclusive pool bar was probably the most frustrating part of the holiday. Some bartenders regularly ignored foreign guests who did not give tips. You could stand in front of them for 10 or 15 minutes while they looked directly at you but continued serving local guests immediately. The difference in treatment was obvious and made us feel unwelcome and discriminated against.

Later, when we started bringing our own alcohol, the same staff offered to sell us a bottle of whisky for 300 dirhams. After buying from them, their attitude suddenly changed completely and they started coming to our table constantly. This showed us that the level of service depended more on extra payments than on the all-inclusive package we had already paid for.

My practical advice is not to waste your holiday queueing at the bar and begging for half a glass of beer. There is a shop nearby where you can buy your own drinks. Alternatively, it seems that once certain bartenders receive extra money, the service becomes much faster.

I would, however, like to mention a few genuinely positive people.

The animation team work extremely hard, create a friendly atmosphere and put on enjoyable shows. They deserve recognition for their energy and commitment.

Zidane was the only bartender who treated us with genuine kindness without expecting anything in return. He was friendly, helpful, easy to talk to and always ready to share a joke. He was one of the very few people who made us feel welcome.

Our room attendant, Fatima, was also wonderful. She was always smiling, polite and did everything she could to improve our room and make us comfortable. Unfortunately, there is only so much one hardworking person can do when the rooms and furniture are in such poor condition.

We are not travellers who expect five-star luxury after paying for a three-star hotel. We understand that this is a budget resort, and we arrived with realistic expectations. However, clean bedding, hygienic mattresses, safe furniture, properly maintained air conditioning, edible food and equal treatment at the bar are basic standards, not luxury.

In its current condition, I honestly do not believe this hotel deserves even one star. The management should stop relying on the efforts of a few good employees and invest urgently in cleanliness, maintenance, staff training and a complete renovation of the property.

Top notch Animation team

The food is boring and repetitive, no a lot of selection, rooms are adequate, but the animation team are 5 star, 10 out of 10, throughout the day lots of activities and evening entertainment really good. Don't expect a 5 star experience but it's definitely the aldi of the 3 star resorts. Good value

Okay stay

Pretty standard hotel nice enough room and was cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels. Didn’t have water on a few occasions throughout the week so we had to go and use another room. The biggest joke is the bar it would take an age to get served so we went out every night because of this. If you tip you get served, we tipped everytime we went out of the hotel and would have done at the hotel but as it was all inclusive we shouldn’t have had to so out of principle we didn’t
