Was forced to stay here last night as the residence intouriste hotel that we had booked with On The Beach was over booked (will review that hotel in a seperate review) back to the afore mentioned room was not to bad, kitchen would have been ok if fridge was plugged in, shower room disgusting. The noise from other rooms loud cleaning staff baning about from very early. Hairdryer provided, microwave also if needed, with 2 ring cooker hob, basic toiletries should you have forgotten your own.
Negative Group of young males (looked like sports team) climbing over balconies and again loud. Balconies all looking over each other lack of privacy.
Positive compared to room in hotel we had booked had it not been for the noise and dirty shower I would say it is better than Residence Intouriste. On the beach Rep Issam not at all concerned or even offering an appology regarding the overbooking just wanted to sell his tours.
I will give details of surrounding area when I complete Residence intouriste review
I stayed at Atlantic Palm Beach Hotel in Agadir for 7 days, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Special shout out to Chadia, Mr Hasan & Manar at the reception. they really made me feel comfortable during my stay. Also shout out to the cleaning staff, they are doing an amazing job. Special thanks to the restaurant staff who catered my children's dietary requirements.
The food was delicious, with plenty of variety at breakfast and well-prepared dishes at other meals.
Everything about this hotel — from the friendly atmosphere to the excellent facilities — made my trip memorable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Agadir and look forward to coming back myself!
From the moment we arrived, our experience at this hotel was deeply concerning. To access the building, we were forced to climb over rubble that had been carelessly covered with a rug—an obvious and serious safety hazard. The first room we were given was far from the advertised four-star standard. It reeked of stale cigarette smoke, making it impossible to stay in. We immediately raised the issue with reception and were reassigned to Room 317. While this room did not smell of smoke, it was still well below acceptable standards. The shower area was particularly appalling, with visible black mould covering the floor, walls, and shower screen. We had no choice but to wear footwear while showering due to the unhygienic conditions. The sink area was poorly maintained, with clumps of silicone and damaged, unrepaired walls. Kitchen utensils were filthy and emitted a strong damp odour, rendering them completely unusable. The sofa was stained and marked—we had to sit on beach towels just to feel comfortable. To make matters worse, the air-conditioning unit was located on the balcony, which poses a serious safety concern, especially for families with children. The most shocking part of our stay was the behaviour of the reception staff. When we enquired about transport options to the airport, they were not only rude and dismissive—they actually laughed in our faces. One staff member even told us that if we gave him 300 dirhams, he would tell us how to get a taxi. This level of unprofessionalism and exploitation was appalling. The overall experience at the hotel and surrounding resort was so distressing that we felt compelled to cut our trip short. I would strongly advise others to avoid this property until significant improvements are made in both facilities and staff conduct.
Good price and great location in Agadir Bay. Restaurants and everything you need are very close. This is my second time here, and I will come back again
When I checked in and was given my room I discovered that it did not have a balcony which was what I had booked. I went back to the reception and the chap there was rather dismissive and said he had given me a nicer room instead. I pointed out that he had not, as it did not have the balcony I had asked for. I asked to look at the room that I had booked and he grudgingly sent another man with me to see it.
I believe that the "nicer" room was probably more aesthetically pleasing, as in, it had recently been painted... its small window over looked the pool. I took the room that I had requested, and moved my things. Unfortunately, the shower door did not shut - I was not about to really slam it to try it, as the catch had rusted up, so it had been like it a while, the sliding doors to my balcony did not lock, so I wedged them with the footstalls being that I was only on the first floor. And also the wifi connected with 1 bar, in the bathroom and nothing if you walked properly into the room, so presumably the router was too far away for anything up that end.
I know I should have gone an complained about these things but I really didn't feel that there was any point, and for the first time in all the places I've been - and I've visited 70 countries on my own, I felt that I would just be dismissed, so I didn't bother. Sadly this was the overall vibe that I got while in Agadir, which is really sad considering I've been in Morocco for 2 weeks in 5 locations and been met with nothing but kindness everywhere else.
The pool area was nice - it was rather windy, but that's not down to the hotel, but I would imagine thats a big plus when its really hot. I will say that I really liked the bedroom design, having it in the middle of the unit, with an open window style, so you could get natural daylight in.
