Had a wonderful week at this hotel. It was on the seafront and had its own private beach , very safe for an evening stroll along the prom. A chair lift to the top of the mountain is very special, the writing says God, Country, King 🙏 rooms Very clean, loved the food. We were all inclusive which made our holiday easier. Hotel room was cleaned regularly, the staff were lovely. Entertainment was every night and dancing. The animation team made our holiday so special, Aquacise, yoga, darts, table tennis, lots to do in the daytime , a special thanks to Cookie who had a lovely personality and so very helpful. We will certainly return as love the Moroccan people and their kindness.
This is a difficult review to write because the hotel has many positives, but ultimately I wouldn’t return.
You can tell that when it first opened, it would have been a very impressive and stylish hotel. Thirty years on, however, it is starting to show its age in certain areas. The location is excellent, the pool is lovely, and the hotel still retains a sense of grandeur and traditional charm.
During our stay, the hotel was very quiet and appeared significantly overstaffed, with many employees standing around with little to do. While this is certainly not a criticism of the staff themselves, it did create a slightly awkward atmosphere.
Breakfast was satisfactory but lacked the variety and quality I would expect from a four-star hotel. Personally, I would rate the hotel closer to three stars due to: 1) the limited breakfast selection, 2) dated bathrooms, 3) the absence of an outdoor evening bar area, and 4) fairly basic entertainment.
One thing worth noting is that smoking is permitted indoors in some areas. Guests were smoking in the indoor bar, as well as on balconies and in rooms, so this may be an issue for non-smokers.
The entertainment team were largely absent during the day, although this may have been due to the quiet period before the school holidays.
The beachfront location is a real highlight. The hotel sits directly on the promenade, and the beach is beautiful. It's around a 25-minute walk along the marina, with plenty of restaurants along the way. There are also fast-food options within a 10-minute walk of the hotel. The large souk is approximately 2 km away and can be reached on foot in around 25 minutes.
Overall, we had a good holiday and enjoyed many aspects of our stay. However, I wouldn't return, mainly because there are so many other hotels and destinations still to experience.
Nice location old hotel funny stuff. I enjoyed the location the hotel in front of the beach you can enjoy the sunset view from the balcony , the pool is ok the food is not the hotel good comparing to price , annimation team do thier best thanks to oumaima and the others …
Had a great tome here all the staff are so friendly great setting will br back
We originally booked a different hotel to find out we didn't like cockroaches. So first thing was to change hotels. We found the hotel on the beach front and was in a beautiful location. First impressions were the hotel looked very clean and staff were very kind and accommodating. They shown us the room and it was lovely with a sea view but it was about a 10 minute walk to the dining area and reception. We felt like it a bit far from everything so we're shown a room with a pool view and gardens which we agreed was a lot better even though was the same price. The balcony was adequate even though a bit small but that didn't bother us. The bed was perfect and very comfortable and very big. Large t.v with English channels for people that like that. Lovely bathroom with a bath and shower above with mixer taps only problem was water went hot and cold every few seconds so rinse off quick. Fantastic air con. Lovely entertainment team. Everything you expect. The hotel had a lovely section of the beach just perfect no getting harassed by the lucky lucky men. I'm afraid that's where the good parts end. BAD PARTS..... For a 4 * hotel I am not a fussy eater but the breakfast was ok nothing special but again for a 4 star hotel expect better variety. No tea or coffee making facilities for your room. No where to get a coffee or tea except in the dining halls if you wanted one before bed or breakfast. The entertainment at night what a joke. One man and his band or should I say microphone. No interaction at all. It was dead. No wonder. HOTEL management need to look at what the words customer services are. Disgraceful we were stopped by reception for bringing water into the hotel and had it taken off us we had been out all day and just popped to the shop to grab it. Thinking we needed a drink. We were so mortified and very embarrassed as it was only water. We were made to feel like children. We were impolitely told no food or drink to be bought into the hotel. If we wanted it we had to buy it from the hotel shop. Which I will inform you is not always open and very expensive. We let this ride just avoided the front of house staff. The next issue was a day later we had 2 members of staff knock on our door and told us to remove our towels off the balcony as it was not allowed. As most people, I'm sure pop their towels out to dry after a day on the beach. They were very rude and said we needed to remove the items immediately, If we wanted the towels drying we had to use their laundry service. Please look at pictures there were many towels and laundry on many balconys of which were there the whole week we were there. No one else's things were ever removed. That was it for myself and my husband. We actually felt victimised. After moving hotels and i will say at an extra cost of £750.00 for the week. Bed and breakfast we had had enough and just wanted to leave. After looking around we did realise that we were probably the only english at this hotel. MY ADVISE TO ALL IS AVOID. For people that read this I only hope i help I just one person to make this review worth while. My husband and I are well travelled and have been all over the world and I can honestly say this is the worst experience I have ever had. AVOID.......
