Sol Oasis Marrakech

This review is purely based on the hospitality from Jamila the housekeeping lady. She was so sweet to my little one and would do the most to ensure we had a great experience.

Myself and my husband stayed at the Sol Oasis Marrakesh from the 22/9-29/9. We are currently sat by the pool while writing this review.

We booked because the reviews on Tripadvisor were amazing, but obviously there is always a bit scepticism when you go somewhere new.

All I can say is that the reviews were not wrong!

When we arrived check in was smooth and the reception staff knowledgable and professional, we had upgraded our room prior to arriving through the hotel and the correspondence was exactly the same prompt and courteous.

Our room was SPOTLESS, infact the whole hotel is SPOTLESS a factor that is high on my agenda when booking a holiday.

The grounds are stunning with beautiful thick lush lawns, flowers (all colours of the rainbow) pampas grass, palm trees adding to the whole ambience. Whilst a fairly large hotel it feels more like a boutique hotel, the buildings are no more than 2 stories with everything coloured to match the environment, it’s such a idilliic property.

Food - outstanding! My husband loved all of the traditional tagines on offer and whilst I’m more of a fussy eater there was always something for me too.

Drinks - we are both beer drinkers and the mixture of bottled beer served was San Miguel, Amstel and the local brew Stork (which was delicious) my husband loved the red wine on offer and honestly vodka slushies are the way forward with orange or strawberry!

Staff - every single one of them from reception, cleaners, gardeners, bar staff, waiting staff and entertainments team were an absolute credit to the hotel, nothing is too much trouble, everyone is friendly and professional but also smile whilst doing their jobs, which speaks volumes.

A couple of mentions for some exceptional service.

Itaf, she came and had her lunch with us one day and she was so lovely, she hasn’t been with the hotel for long (2 weeks) but I can tell she will be an asset, she continually made a point of finding us either by the pool or enjoying a drink just to say hello and ask how everything was, customer service at its very best!

Hamza is part of the entertainments team and the first day he spoke to us he asked if we wanted to do yoga or aqua-aerobics (not something we wanted to do!) but with a smile and a laugh he realised our holiday was about chilling, doing quizzes and drinking beer and would just walk past with a knowing smile and chuckle and say ‘beer o’clock’ he spent some time with us and we found out where he lived how long he’d been doing this kind of job, such a confident and friendly young man, again an asset to the hotel.

The 2 ladies who served on the bar in the day and evening - superb, absolutely brilliant at their job, they got to know us fairly quickly and would have our drinks ready before we got to the front of the bar just amazing!

If I had any criticisms there is only one, there is not much storage space in the room but that’s it!

We had been here less than 24 hours before we started talking about booking again for next year - which we will be doing upon returning home.

SOL OASIS lives up to its name, it’s a little bit of paradise just outside Marrakesh and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had a fantastic stay and were really impressed with the hotel overall. The all-inclusive package was excellent and offered everything we could have wanted for a relaxing holiday.

Our room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the staff throughout the hotel were brilliant. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help, which really added to the experience.

The food was also very good, with plenty of choice throughout our stay, and we were really pleased with the drinks selection included in the all-inclusive package.

There was also a great range of activities available, so there was always something to do whether you wanted to relax by the pool or get involved in the activities.

Overall, we had a really enjoyable holiday and felt that the hotel offered a great all-inclusive experience. We would definitely consider staying again and would happily recommend it to others looking for a relaxing break.
