- Savoy Le Grand Hotel

Luxury, authenticity, confidentiality, modernity, Four words that perfectly define the style of the Savoy Grand Hotel in Marrakech. Located in the heart of the prestigious Hivernage quarter, arguably the most distinguished address in the red city. Our sumptuous 5 stars hotel let you enjoy a picturesque view over the Great Atlas mountains, proximity to Jamaa el Fna square and the Menara, all in a unique atmosphere. Central to The Savoy Grand Hotel's prominence is its old-world grace and charm, blended effortlessly with contemporary comforts and amenities. In its unique blend of warmth and welcome and assiduous attention to service, The Savoy Grand Hotel is a true ambassador of the Moroccan hospitality experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
A must to stay when coming to Morocco, everything you would expect for a 5* hotel and more. First staff are so helpful and friendly nothing is too much, never seen so much attention in all of my trips and stays. Breakfast one of the best I've come across in my travels, dinner lots of choices and generous portions, and all served a la carte, service is also fantastic. I'm still currently here and have just been surprised with a knock at the door and presented with a birthday cake as its my birthday. Also my bed was decorated mid day when I returned to the room with a towel sculptured in the shape of a Swan with flower petals, happy birthday pillows and a sash, I was lost for words what a fantastic surprise. Well enough for now, more to follow, soon, Please come and see for yourself you won't be disappointed, although not sure you'll get a booking as it looks pretty full.🙂🙂🙂
I would rate this hotel exactly as advertised: a 5-star hotel and, in my opinion, one of the top 5 in Marrakech.
The staff were very hospitable and welcoming, and the hotel was clean throughout. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. The food in the hotel restaurants was good overall, although I felt some dishes could have used a little more flavour. There was still a decent variety on the menus, and the drinks were great.
The location is a major advantage. The hotel is next to a shopping mall, with plenty of food outlets, lounges and bars nearby. If you don’t mind staying in the newer part of the city, you’ll find most of what you need close by. The Medina is also accessible with a short cab journey if you want to explore the old town.
The hotel facilities were very impressive. There are two outdoor pools, one quiet pool and another with music with plenty of sun loungers. There is also an indoor pool, spa and gym, all of which were very good. We particularly enjoyed the quiet pool as it provided a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of space.
My children really enjoyed their stay. They loved the rooms, pools, food, staff and the easy access to nearby amenities. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel does not allow guests to order food through Glovo, so you’ll need to eat at the hotel or go out to your choice of restaurants.
Although the hotel is on the pricey side, I think it is a great choice for couples or small families looking for a comfortable and relaxing break.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely!!
We had a family stay at the Savoy Hotel, and overall the stay itself was enjoyable. The breakfast was very nice, dinner was excellent, and the rest of the staff were friendly, helpful and provided excellent service.
There is some renovation work taking place, but this didn’t really affect our stay or cause any inconvenience.
The location is excellent, with Menara Mall right next door, making shopping very convenient. There are also shops on the second floor where you can pick up any last-minute souvenirs, which was a nice bonus.
Unfortunately, the main reason I have given the hotel only 2 stars is the experience we had with the reception staff. Their attitude was rude and unhelpful, which was disappointing and really put a negative impression on what was otherwise a pleasant family stay.
It’s a shame, as the hotel has a lot going for it excellent food, great location and some very good staff. Hopefully the reception team can improve their approach to guests, as this would make a big difference to the overall experience.
Here’s a polished review you can post:
I had an absolutely wonderful stay, and I want to give a special thank you to Doumia, Chaimae, KawTar, and Hafesa for making my birthday so memorable.
Their hospitality was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The room was always spotless and beautifully cleaned, and they went above and beyond by surprising me with stunning birthday decorations and a delicious tiramisu to celebrate my special day. It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly made me feel valued and cared for.
Throughout our stay, they were incredibly kind, attentive, and always made sure we were comfortable. Their warmth and dedication turned my birthday into an unforgettable experience.
Thank you all for making our stay so special. Your outstanding service and genuine kindness will always be remembered. We can’t wait to come back!
