Set in the historic part of the city, this hotel is just 50 metres from the main square - Jemaa el-Fnaa. Due to its location in the centre of Marrakesh its guests will be able to reach most of its attractions such as the Royal Palace, the Medina or the shade of the Koutoubia mosque, within minutes on foot. After an exciting day of sightseeing they can head back to the hotel and enjoy a fulfilling meal in the typical onsite restaurant or relax with a drink on the terrace, while enjoying the panoramic views of the largest mosque in the city. The well-appointed rooms comes with all the conveniences a modern travellers is used to, including complimentary WiFi internet access.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Wonder and shirt visit to Marrakech with the beautiful weather, we booked this hotel without looking at the reviews because we were in a rush… however when we arrived the placed was beyond our expectations especially by the smile from the friendly staff especially the great manager Mina, who was helpful, friendly and professional in all ways. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the location of the Riad is in the heart of Marrakech’s centre. We can not wait until we come back to meet the staff and Mina and enjoy another wonderful visit 🥰.
We stayed in this Riad at the start of our holiday. It is well placed and you can walk to the centre where the souks are. The Riad is traditional with old furnishings. The rooms are OK but the bathrooms could do with refit/redecoration. The breakfast on the roof terrace was ok. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
This is typically a hotel that has seen much better days but still attracts a fair number of travelers due to its location and name. However, considering the sheer number of options around town we would advice staying here for now. On the first night we stayed in room 3 on the first floor. We found the room dusty and not properly maintained. There was only one towel plus had to request for more and better pillows. The toilet did not flush properly, the lid was broken. There was barely any water pressure in the bathroom. The aircon did not work and instead blowing cool air switched to blowing really hot air after a while. Even after we had called reception a few times and had somebody over to the room, no solution could be offered and we had a very poor night sleep. We received no apology or compensation the next day. We had been offered a different room though. However, nobody at the reception seemed aware of this and when we inquired about it again in the afternoon we were told only one was available. It not being clean yet we were told to wait. It being three o'clock in the afternoon we though the hotel would hurry this up but instead nothing happened until we lost our temper and really demanded that something be done about the situation. More than an hour had passed. It may not seem much but by the that time we were well passed check-in on our second day after a very lousy time on the first, yet having already paid for three nights. Room number one where we stayed the next two days was better equipped but again fell short of expectations. The shower was just a shower head you need to hold in your hands. There's nothing to keep it stable while standing under it. Moreover, only scalding hot water came out. There was barely any cold water to mix it with. The toilet did not flush properly. The water in the sink did not drain. The aircon functioned but we doubt it will do you much good when it's actually summer. The room's are excessively dark otherwise. Us losing our temper earlier would cost us dearly. A perfume bottle was damaged on purpose by housekeeping. It would no longer spray, the bottom having been used to damage it, the dent clearly visible, no accident could have caused it. This hotel is best avoided.
The hotel has a beautiful lobby and is in an excellent location for a visit to Marrakesh. Because it is on a main road you don’t have to carry luggage down narrow streets and it is an easy walk to the Medina. The hotel was sold out during our stay, and there was a lot of young people packed into rooms so during our stay, there was quite a bit of noise and the breakfast was pretty much wiped out by the time we got up there. The staff was working to replenish. Our air conditioning was not working, which was not a big deal in April, but would have been a problem a different time of year. The staff was friendly and took very good care of our luggage which we left while we were walking around between checkout and our departure time on our last day.
I will start my review by highlighting the positives; perfect location and my room was so huge and the cleaner came in everyday for the house keeping but, the hotel has no lift and the Tv didn't work. The breakfast was below average and dinner was pricy. The staff was very helpful.
