A traditional Riad
Riad Mabrouk is not to everyone’s taste but it is a traditional riad with extremely friendly and helpful staff, hot showers, a clean bed all at a good price - what more could a weary traveler need. I was very happy here - less so some of my party. My room was spotlessly clean and the towels and bath mat were changed daily but there are lots of unexpected steps and dark places so you need to be careful walking around the riad. Also the spiral staircase around the lift shaft needs younger feet than mine. I did venture up and down there a couple of times but wouldn’t want to repeat the experience. The Riad is well placed to walk everywhere in Marrakesh but anyone with walking difficulties might find its location a problem because transport doesn’t pass the door. There are lots of porters at the end of the road to bring your luggage should you need help. Overall I’d happily stay here again and look forward to returning to Marrakech

Do not recommend the spa massage!!!
So, this was recommended by staff at a restaurant we went to. Went with my friend today 11th Sept.
We agreed a deal for full body massage 1 hour via his translation.
Well, what an absolute disappointment to say the least!
The price was disputed by the manager when we had agreed the price and we only received 30 mins massage where the lady kept disappearing thus only getting 30 mins from an hour!!!
No refreshments offered.
I do not recommend this place and we will not visit again any time soon!!

Do not recommend the spa
Review for SPA: A lovely gentleman working in one of the local restaurants recommended this spa for a massage. He translated for us at the desk and they all agreed 300 dirham for 60 minutes. After he left the ladies at the reception insisted on 350. There is a massive language barrier but using a translation app, we explained to them that this was what was agreed and out of principle, they should not be elevating their prices after. They hesitantly accepted however instead of receiving 60 minutes of a massage we only received 30. The lady kept disappearing in between to serve other customers and started another gentleman’s hammam at the same time in the other room which I could hear very clearly through the door. They also let us sit in the dark for about 15 minutes at the end so in all we only received 30 minutes of actual massage. Definitely do not recommend. Disappointed by the dishonesty, integrity and quality of the massage.
Bad experience at Riad Mabrouk
This is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed. Its hallways and rooms are very very dark. The room was not very clean and complimentary breakfast minimal. We awoke to cockroaches in the morning. Front desk staff were helpful with boarding pass assistance but could not have cared less about the room concerns. Roof top restaurant was good.

Very loud the whole day because of renovation. They should close the riad for this time.
