Very dirty
The room was so dirty that we could not stay more than one night. We changed and went to another place despite the payment was done. There was so much humidity that parts of the walls were coming down. Everything was so dirty! Impossible to make a shower, water was not hot.

Poorly maintained facility
We spent 4 days here and the wifi is horrible especially in the room. Nothing they could do about connectivity. The bathroom dont have doors. The water was cold in the shower. The heating was a hit and miss. If you shower daily this is not your place. The room was cold and has a lot of drafts. Strictly the breakfast starts late at 8am. If you have booked an excursion expect you wont get a breakfast. The place is poorly maintained broken doors, painting are worn. The terrace was full clothes with laundry linens. The decor was old and falling.
Exceptional experience
The hotel is lovely. Everything is super clean. The linen on the bed outstanding making for a beautiful sleep. The breakfast was amazing, no chance of going hungry. We also enjoyed the rooftop and the staff were great. Just a shame the pool/spa was being renovated.

Completely Relaxing!
I had a hamam from Lubna and an hour long massage from Imra. Both were wonderful ladies who are amazing at their jobs. They took such good care of me and made me feel so relaxed. Just what I needed after a busy few days exploring and trekking. I wouldn't hesitate to book again next time I'm in Chefchaouen.

Amazing location with very friendly staff and cat!
This location is excellent if you want to get lost in the souks of the old medina, while also being accessible to the pickup spot for tours (which is about a 3 minute walk away). There are nearby ATMs too and nearby shops selling snacks and water even at 11:30pm.
The riad itself is very pretty and you can go for a dip if you want. There is a friendly resident cat, Mimi, who greeted us multiple times during our stay. Please remember to give her pets!
Breakfast is served on the rooftop 8-10am and usually consists of thousand hole pancakes, msemen and bread with a platter of butter and jams. Occasionally there may also be bit of cake or chocolate spread. This is placed on your table and makes a great start to a long day - far superior to a bog-standard continental buffet breakfast in our opinion!
The staff are all wonderful and accommodating. On one day we had a 8:15am pickup for a tour, and they served us a smaller early breakfast at 7:45am to make sure we could make it. This was the time I picked, but they did suggest 7:30am which shows their level of service.
The room itself was spacious and air conditioned, though we were upgraded from a standard room. Hot water can take a couple of minutes to come through, but that's very easy to work around.
Getting into the riad involves pushing the button on the video intercom (look to the top left of the front door when facing it). You don't get a key to this, but we never had any issues getting in at any point so this didn't bother us at all.
