Riad La Croix Berbere

Marrakech

The RIAD is ideally located in the middle of the medina, 100 m from the Djemaa el Fna square (2 minutes on foot) and only 10 minutes from Marrakech-Menara Airport.

The riad has a wonderful terrace which overlooks the old city of Marrakech, the Koutoubia tower and the snowy Atlas Mountains. Built in 2009, the property comprises 7 guest rooms and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities on offer to guests include a hotel safe, TV lounge, café, bar and a restaurant. Furthermore, Internet access, room service, laundry service and a car park are provided for guests.

The rooms of the house each have their own colour and a Berber name to identify them. It is always a concern at the riad to make associations to all forms of Moroccan crafts. Rooms also feature modern comfort with individually regulated air conditioning on the 1st floor and an LCD TV with satellite/cable channels in all rooms. All rooms also feature an en suite bathroom with a shower, Internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, a washing machine and an ironing set.

Guests will appreciate the outdoor swimming pool in the centre of the patio. Its depth allows them to fully enjoy a fresh drink in hand. There are tables and a big terrace.

Guests can discover the multitude of flavours and recipes forming Moroccan cuisine. The team is able to prepare Moroccan dishes such as couscous, tagines, pastillas, briouates and more on request.

A wonderful stay

Excellent service. Very comfortable. Wish I could have stayed longer. The staff went out of their way to ensure I go to see the main tourist sites and didn’t get lost in the souks. The bedroom was very comfortable. Excellent WiFi even on roof terrace. Lovely breakfast.

One of best holidays !

18:46 • 4G 80 Profile After a little setback my mom ended up on this trip with me. My first impression was feeling claustrophobic when i saw the narrow dark alley to the Riad, but I got comfortable afterwards. Riad is cozy and room gets cleaned everyday! My breakfast was included and it was simple yet tasty. Nice pool in the middle of Riad to chill in in the evening. Rooms are Tiny but you only need it to sleep!aircon works fine. Staff: amazing & welcoming they will do anything to make you comfortable and feel at home. Mimoun welcomed me showed me around explained me how to get around by getting me a map. I have no sense of direction so it wasn't useful anyway l Soufiyan is such a sweetheart he treated me and mom like family. Introduced us with his homemade Za'atar tea. On our last day we were looked after by Aziz and he was so kind and attentive. Thanks to Wajdan for making sure our room was nice ans tidy every single day! I would suggest one thing and that is a water cooler by the pool where you could go and have a glass of water as its really hot and due to warm weather water doesnt stay cold in the rooms.

I was very oprehensive about coming to Morocco with only my mom because so many people told me if wasnt safe, but as long as you behave and respect the country the people and the culture you will be just fine. They have some cute cats that visit all the time and few sparrows and they are so kind to them I might come back soon!!!

A Gem within the walls of Marrakech old town

What a gem this Riad is! Our cab from the airport stopped at a gate to the medina and called the riad. A member of staff came out, greeted us and walked us to the riad. Just this first welcome and checkin and conversation with Hicham and we knew this place was special. Our room was on the top floor and was lovely. So glad these rooms have no tv. Very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and strong aircon with easy access to the roof terrace to watch sunsets or sunrises and have breakfast on if you wish. I actually loved the simple Moroccan breakfast of breads, cakes, yogurts with the freshest fruit juices. The hotel has 3 suites in the new part of the riad which are pretty swish. The location of the riad is ideal for exploring the medina. Just minutes away walk from the main square and souks, it won’t take you long to find your way around. Everything you want to see is between 5-20mins walk. After a day of walking there’s nothing better than to take a dip in the courtyard pool. All the staff are amazing, from the cleaners, to the cooks and front of house staff. massive thanks to Hicham, momo and Hamza. You all made us feel like family. This place is so special we never left the walls of the old city in 4 days. This riad helped exceed our expectations of Marrakech to the point we will be returning in Mar/Apr 2026. Thank you all for making our break so special. Really appreciate the service you all provided. Highly recommend this place if you want an authentic Marrakech experience and hospitality.

Great location, tiny with local flavour

Tucked away in a narrow pedestrian alley, this riad requires a bit of determination - or a sherpa - if you’re travelling with heavy luggage. There’s no lift, either, so prepare your calves for their own spiritual journey.

The entrance hall is undeniably charming, all that classic riad atmosphere, though the tiny central pool feels more decorative than delightful. Have breakfast indoors and you’ll quickly discover that every inch of space is a precious commodity.

Our room, on the second floor, had a miniature window opening onto the courtyard - charming in theory, but offering absolutely no privacy in practice. The room itself was spacious, with two beds and the usual Moroccan mattresses (firm enough to remind you you’re alive). The real gem was the bathroom: large, elegant, with a walk-in shower and those beautiful pearly tiles that make you momentarily forgive everything else.

The rooftop terrace on the third floor was a welcome refuge. Staff were kind and eager, if not exactly synchronized. We were a large group, and our late-night arrival seemed to plunge the three young men on duty into an extended state of gentle panic - a mood that lingered throughout our stay.

Still, the location is spot-on for exploring the main square and the Koutoubia… provided your legs are in good working order.

The Place to be. FANTASTIC

We wiggled our way through the low lit tight alleys to find our oasis. After finding that we were at sister riad and spa (and have the micky taken out of me, sharing a laugh) we were guided to the next door where the banter continued. Once inside we were treated to Moroccan mint tea and a tourist map. Our host explained the best areas to see and how to get to them. Once done he showed us our accommodation, ground floor looking out across the courtyard. He then walked me up to a restaurant to make a booking for me. Mimoud was the most wonderful host from start to finish. Even taking us to our taxi at the end of our trip. A true gentleman. Sofian looked after us (I hope I’m correct with your name) with a great breakfast every morning. How he traverses the stairs to the roof with a full tray and can still be happy to see you is beyond me lol. Our towels were changed daily and room tided, it didn’t need to be but like everything the service was amazing. Fantastic. I will always recommend this fantastic riad. To all the staff, you are a joy that sells Marrakesh.
