This charming guesthouse is located in the heart of Marrakech, the beautiful Red City, in the midst of Medina and its colourful markets. It is just a 5 minute walk from Djemaa el Fna square. There are various places of interest in the immediate vicinity, such as Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia, and it is just 8 km distance from Marrakech-Menara Airport. Comfort, charm, elegance and peace are likely to be the main reflections guests will have of this hotel when they leave. Set around a cosy patio with a fountain, the guest rooms present a traditional Moroccan décor and come with air-conditioning and a private bathroom. Daily traditional breakfast is served each morning and on request a typical Moroccan lunch and dinner are served in a large dining room. The Riad offers excursions to discover the beautiful surroundings of Marrakech and guests can also improve their swing on one of the most famous Moroccan courses and receive the advice of a professional golfer.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The host Mohammad is crook, overcharges for every excursion. Does back handed deals with the locals and and charges you twice over for actives like quad biking. I would avoid at all costs, not a genuine guy at all.
Great welcome, or so I thought! He asked twice us if we'd like to have dinner with him. We agreed, and the meals were perfectly acceptable. It was only when we got the bill that we realised he'd charged us for the meals! He never said that at the start.
Said the a/c was broken, so no a/c throughout our stay. No soap or shower gel provided. Had to sneak a tablet off his washbasin! Offered to guide us to the Secret Garden, but he didn't know where it was!
On morning of departure he didn't provide breakfast!
All in all not an experience we'd want to repeat.
My friend and I booked this trip a year ago and have been so excited! We arrived late at night and Mohammed was there waiting for us. We had some lovely rosé and a great nights sleep! The Riad is very peaceful and clean. The lady who makes breakfast makes the best pancakes and the apricot jam is delicious! The next day Mohammed took us for a walk around and showed us the way back to the Riad via some land marks it was really easy and is a central location but just enough out of the way to be really tranquil. The next day we went on an excursion with Mohammed, he took us to the Jardin Majorelle and the YSL museum. He also took us to the Palemraie and we rode camels and drank tea! He also took us to a few surprise places which were lovely! We had such a lovely time staying at this Riad. It is simple and calm which is just what you need after a day walking in Marrakech!
This is by far the worst accommodation that we stayed in, we would give a Zero if we could. The host is rude and unwelcoming. He charged us for the internet and gave it to the next group for free. The rooms are very uninviting and cannot be locked. Given the vibes in this place that made us really uncomfortable and feel unsafe. Combine that with no heating (at least you don't get control over it), no hot water, and no bath supplies. Half of the building is collapsed. Definitely look for another accommodation, there are plenty of choices in Marrakesh.
I'm sorry but mohammed is not rude he is very friendly I stay at his riad when I can his rooms are excellent and he looks after his guests excellently I am happy to have him as my freind even when I can't stay at his riad and always visit him when I go to morrocco
