The 4-star Riad Dar Bounouar offers a luxurious retreat in Marrakech. Guests can enjoy on-site dining in the hotel restaurant. Meeting facilities and Wi-Fi are available. The riad also features an indoor swimming pool. Smoking is permitted in some rooms and public areas (please specify when booking).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I stayed at the Riad with 6 other friends to celebrate my birthday. The duplex room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. It's a perfect base for exploring the city and I'd highly recommend A
An peaceful oasis amongst the perfect chaos that is the souks. Great team do all they can to make your stay a perfect experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the service was good with friendly and helpful staff and the room was fine, but the shower head needed work doing to it and the sink got blocked. The riad was an oasis of calm and tranquility in the midst of the bustle and hustle of the medina and I loved being woken up by birdsong at dawn. The breakfast was fine, I especially enjoyed the coffee and there was no shortage of croissants. The roof terrace is a lovely spot to quietly read and relax too. i enjoyed feeding the birds up there in the mornings as well as feeding the two tortoise residents who enjoyed drinking some of my bottled water on their salad leaves!
We stayed Dar Bounouar for four nights at the end of April and were sad to leave. The riad is charming and near the centre of the medina though you would not know it from the peaceful atmosphere. It is not easy to find if you are visiting for the first time, as we were, so it's a good idea to book a private transfer friom the airport as we did. The building is arranged around two lovely open-air courtyards filled with plants and flowers. We had a ground floor bedroom so we knew it would be dark and it was very comfortable despite having only just enough space between wall and bed to squeeze in. It was nicely decorated and suited us well as my comoanion is waiting for knee surgery and does not relish staircases. The people of Da Bounouar are charming too. Oussama is a mine of information and could not have been more helpful, answering all requests and questions with calm courtesy. The ladies of the house kept us tidy and provided an inexpensive but splendid daily breakfast buffet and cooked fresh omelettes and msemen every morning. We hope to return to Marrakech one day and will undoubtedly book riad Dar Bounouar again.
Lovely riad and excellent staff just the area and access is a little off putting located down a tiny lane which taxis or tuck tucks can’t access so be prepared to have to walk and pay a local to help you find your way initially
