Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The location is good courtyard is nice but the Riad is advertised as a 4 star the room i booked was not what I was given I was moved but the other room was across the road part of the Riad I was told the rooms are very poor quality with multiple issues poor repair safety and hygiene issues I would probably not stay in a Riad again as totally ruined my experience
The Riad Amina was a horrible experience. I suppose they can’t be blamed for the sewer gas smell coming from the bathroom since it’s a really old building in the Medina, but the general lack of repair was bad—mold on the bathroom ceiling, crumbling tiles, worn-out furniture and a dirty rug. The pictures of my “suite” didn’t match the room.
The worst part was the lack of air conditioning. It had an air conditioner, but it only blew hot air. We got there too late the first night to find other accommodations. I let the management know about the issue early in the morning. They kept saying they were fixing the issue. At one point in the afternoon a staff member went with me to the room to verify the heat, and agreed that the air conditioner was blowing hot air.
At 11:30pm the repairman actually came but gave up around 12:30am. I slept maybe 4 hours in a room that was around 35 Celsius. In the morning the staff said the repairman would be back. I gave it ‘til noon that day and booked another hotel. When I went to check-out, the guy in the office was confrontational. I just wanted to check-out.
What an awful experience. Lack of sleep will really ruin a vacation. I wasn’t offered any refund or compensation despite checking-out a full 24 hours early.
Fabulous Riad. Very chilled and tranquil. Breakfast was delicious. Staff very helpful. Serviced cool beer and wine. Rooms clean and beds very comfortable. We booked a pick up from airport as I don't think I'd like to find it on my own, but thats probably the same for most similar properties.
Great place to stay, staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed three nights and were out a lot of the time, but felt safe around the area. When leaving one of the lovely ladies that works there found us waiting at the wrong gate for out taxi, she pointed us in the right direction…. Thank you to her so much as it could have been a problem. Would recommend this Riad.
Our stay at Riad Amina was pleasant, but there were some downsides. Throughout our stay in Marrakech, we stayed in multiple riads and the air conditioning in Riad Amina was the worst. It was very loud and didn’t make the room cold enough. The bed was quite uncomfortable with the mattress topper folding. The reception desk is also often left unoccupied which made it difficult to enquire about different things. However, the riad is in a great location in the heart of Marrakech with a lovely centre terrace and also rooftop terrace. The pool is quite small on the rooftop - more like the size of a jacuzzi but still pleasant. There’s various loungers/day beds which are nice. We unfortunately didn’t get the opportunity to eat here, so can’t rate that element.
