The hotel is nestled in the medina of Marrakech. Situated between the avenue El Fetouaki and the Mellah, near the most prestigious monuments, guests are within 400 m of the famous square Djamaa el Fna. Guests can reach the bus and train stations by public transport in around 10 and 15 minutes respectively. Menara International Airport of Marrakech is located approximately 5 km from the hotel. The riad boasts an enchanting terrace with a panoramic view enables guests to admire the Koutoubia Mosque and part of El Badi Palace. Travellers may completely unwind in the spacious and delightfully appointed rooms and suites, some of the units are accessible. They feature an opulent Moroccan décor complemented by top-notch comforts. Guests may indulge in sumptuous Moroccan dishes served at the beautiful dining lounge or on the rooftop terrace with garden. Those who seek relaxation may take a cooling dip in the charming courtyard pool or treat themselves to a massage available on-site.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I can’t recommend this hotel. They gave me a completely different room from what was promised — it’s more like a capsule than a proper hotel room. The room doesn’t even have a proper toilet or a hanger for clothes. It’s only about 7–8 square meters. Today I’m planning to move to another hotel.
We had a great visit to Riad Africa. The hotel is well situated in the souq, but at the same time just down a little quiet side street. The hotel is beautiful inside and looks like the pictures. It was quiet and tranquil and the rooftop terrace was lovely, particularly for breakfast and at sunset.
Our room was very nice, right by a smaller pool than the one in the photos, with a double bed and a single bed, and good air conditioning. The beds were really comfortable, we both slept very well, and there were plenty of power sockets for us. The bathroom wasn't huge but perfectly adequate with a nice quite powerful shower.
The staff were all really helpful and friendly. My son was delighted at how good the Wifi was. The hotel sells some drinks - water, soft drinks etc - and there is a small shop just where the lanes from the hotel meet the main souq.
There is a taxi rank about a five minute walk away. For our trip to Riad Africa from the airport, we arranged that the hotel picked us up so that we could be shown to the hotel, and that was really helpful. Once someone shows you the way once, it is really easy to find.
Hoping to be back soon.
I am going to be very honest with my review. If you want like a true Moroccan experience and do not want to feel like you could be anywhere in the world then a Riad is a good idea. It’s like staying in a Moroccan house. Very clean, you can have breakfast in the sunshine fresh juice traditional Moroccan breads etc. very close to Medina. There are a few negatives, however I slept very well and Ilyas, Faisal were both amazing. Terrace is nice and quiet at night also and the place though buried down many alleys is very very safe.
Hotel arranged transfer from hotel. The guy who walked us from taxi to Riad wouldn't accept my 100 MAD tip and insisted I pay more. Being late at night, dark down alleyway we had no choice so 200 MAD it was as no smaller notes yet. Room was VERY small. Curtains were fraid. Bathroom is tiny. Major concern over safe in room. It's not electric, just a key which you hand in to reception when you leave for the day. Only had breakfast once and honestly wouldn't bother. Location wise it's very good. Reception staff we dealt with were friendly. Riad done. If I return to Marrakesh it will be to a hotel.
We arrived just after Morocco had won their worid cup game, the roads were packed taxi was suck. After some time we got to the drop off point.a boy then had the bags and we followed(he was from the hotel).the hotel is clean well keep and the staff are helpful and courteous, yes its a bit scuffy on the edges, but we are in morocco and 3star. breakfast was continental, and we found it very good. by the way when you walk in the souk the bike has the right of way, they do not stop, try and get small notes 20,50,100 d,also you will need a e-sim for your phone.Idid not and got hit with a 50 pound bill for 20 mins,i got holafly at 4pound a day. the plunge pool was a good meeting point ti was 43 degrees.
