The receptionist lady was very welcoming and ready to help swap the rooms, The rooms need a lot of repair work and maintenance .. from the bathroom that is not draining to the rusted hair drier.
I stayed for 2 nights at Rawabi Hotel Marrakech & Spa and my overall experience was very disappointing.
Before our arrival, we already faced an issue. Due to a slight delay, I tried to contact the hotel several times using the phone number provided in the reservation, but no one answered. This shows a clear lack of professionalism and customer service.
Upon arrival, we discovered a problem in the bathroom: the shower faucet was damaged, causing a continuous water leak during use, which made it uncomfortable.
Furthermore, during our entire 2-night stay, housekeeping never came to clean the room or change the towels, even though we reported this issue to the reception. No action was taken.
This lack of responsiveness and poor service does not meet the expected standards.
Overall, I am very disappointed with my stay and would not recommend this hotel in its current condition.
We stayed at Rawabi Hotel & Spa in Marrakech for 4 nights and 5 days, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish.
Before arrival, we emailed the hotel regarding our booking confirmation and airport shuttle options, but never received any response. Check-in was also very unprofessional. The reception staff were busy talking among themselves, did not greet us properly, and showed very little interest in helping guests.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 12 years in different countries, so I understand the standards of guest service. Sadly, this hotel completely failed in that area.
The room condition was poor. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, the shower was leaking and broken, the hair dryer and towel holders were rusty, there was no shower curtain, and we experienced power outages and A/C issues during our stay. Even the housekeeping standards were below average — the staff did not even know how to properly make the bed. There was not even complimentary drinking water provided anywhere in the hotel — guests must buy water separately.
We accidentally booked a twin room thinking the beds could be joined together, but they could not. We requested a room change several times, and every time the staff agreed but completely ignored our request afterward. This became a pattern throughout our stay — promises made but never fulfilled.
Another very disappointing moment was during my cousin’s birthday celebration. I requested a birthday cake through both the front office and restaurant staff multiple times. On the actual day, a restaurant staff member named Mohammad took my number and promised to confirm with the chef while we were on a day tour. He never updated us until 12:45 AM, only to say they could not arrange the cake. By then it was too late to buy one outside, and our surprise celebration was ruined.
The breakfast and dinner buffet food was tasty, but service was poor. Food trays were often empty and not restocked on time, tables lacked spoons, and there were no labels for dishes, making it impossible to identify vegetarian/non-vegetarian food, meat types, or allergens. The chef at the live cooking counter was constantly on his phone watching videos instead of attending guests.
The restaurant hygiene was also concerning. Birds were freely entering the dining area and eating directly from guests’ tables, which felt extremely unhygienic.
This review is entirely based on our personal experience, and others may have different experiences. However, based on our stay, I would not recommend this hotel. The photos and facilities advertised online are very misleading, so please do not expect too much before booking.
