Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
the staff charged the fee double and they never refunded.
I stayed at this hotel in May last year. the hotel itself is fine, but the staff duplicated the charge. I called them and messaged them many times but they never refunded it. They even ignored my message a few times.
I am so disappointed at how they treated me and their dishonesty, so I wouldn't go back and recommend anyone there.
“La Villa des Golfs” is truly exceptional, featuring a stunning swimming pool and offering delicious meals. You can come to this villa with your friends, family, or even solo. Special thanks to Mehdi for his outstanding service—always available with a big smile whenever you need him.
Wow I can honestly say this is a peaceful paradise in Marrakech! Absolutely stunning pool all amongst nature and the food was delicious too! The hotel room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and everything I needed, spacious yet cosy, and a beautiful view from the balcony! It all really does look like the photos you see on Instagram! Mehedi was always smiling and kind and ready for anything you need! Mamoun was amazing too and so helpful! I felt so safe as a solo traveller here and I loved every minute! I rarely do reviews but la villa des golfs (pink cactus) truly wowed me so I wanted to!
We stayed here for one night, with my husband and 1 year old son.
We found this hotel very last minute after our accommodation fell-through. I made the reservation on booking.com and arrived at the hotel 20 minutes later, to a warm welcome from the manager who was expecting us. They had already put a cot up in our room for our son - very efficient!
The location is lovely if you want to be outside of the city. The centre is a 10/15 min taxi ride, and although the hotel is just off a main road, it feels like you're in a tranquil haven. It was just what we needed after a very fun but hectic 2 days staying in the medina.
The property was beautiful. Very elegant, and decorated a combination of both modern and traditional, to reflect the buildings history. We stayed in a suite, which was huge, and with a large terrace too.
The outdoor space is what sold the property to us. The pool was fantastic, and there were plenty of cabanas and sun beds to choose from. Our son had great fun exploring the garden with its endless options of garden games set up, trendy pink decor, fresh fruit trees and vegetable patch.
The outdoor bar and dining was such a relaxing setting and we had one of the most relaxed dinners of our entire trip. The dinner menu is a mixture of cuisines - burrito bowls, mixed grill, tagines. Breakfast is served to the table, an assortment of warm fresh breads, jams, yoghurt, etc.
The lady who looks after the bar/restaurant side was absolutely wonderful, I am sorry to say I did not get her name. She was so kind to our son and made us feel so welcome.
I believe you can also buy a day pass to just use the pool/garden area and have lunch, which I would also recommend!
This quirky laid back hotel has good points and some not so good. The position just a taxi ride from bustling Marrakech offers a quiet retreat. It is, however, surrounded by building grounds. The room we had was large and with a quiet shady balcony and adequate bathroom. The building interior is classic Moroccan. The grounds, pool and relaxed restaurant/bar are wonderful if a little limited in food choice. All the staff work hard to give guests a good time.
