We have just come back from a week stay here and I have to say that after reading the reviews from people who have been there recently we were worried and expected the worst. I want to say thst the staff were amazing. They weren't rude, they never asked for money and they were polite and so helpful from start to finish. Yes the hotel is on need of TLC and if you are looking for luxury then this isn't the place for you but it was clean and they cleaned our room each day and left us clean towels daily too. The biggest issue with this hotel is that there is a nightclub that could be heard from our room every night but we just wore eat plugs and that solved that one! Breakfast was plentiful and the staff who served lovely. We have had the best week in Marakesh and we didnt let the hotel not being perfect ruin our holidays. So to sum up. Staff were great, good location but it does need work and the night club is the biggest issue but it isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Hitcham is an excellent barman within the hotel. (We only popped into the bar out of the rain! ) Great service & very friendly. Because of him we realised there was a Sky Bar on the 6th floor of the hotel with amazing views over Marrakech - & why we came back in the evening to watch the sun go down over a few drinks & to see Marrakech at night.
Highly recommended.
Awful smell of cigarette smoke in the room, no shower which we asked for when we booked, no towels, toilet roll or bed made. Possibly the worst hotel experience I’ve had & it’s not cheap
Room small but manageable for a couple.
Hotel is not as described, there is a pool but its no longer in use and has no water. It advertises as having a spa this closed some time ago.
Did find a massage parlour izzalea about a 5 min walk away which was superb.
The hotel smells of smoke.
Location good for sight seeing, terrible as next to a night club can here the dj and music unitl 4am.
The bar leaves alot to be desired great if you like pop, alcohol not well stocked and run out quickly.
Breakfast is awful, cold omlettes, cold pancakes and bread, butter and jam. Coffee is awful.
Starbucks just down the road where we had breakfast after day one.
Would not eat meals at hotel as kitchen did not look clean.
Hotel not very clean.
Overall disappointed. Hotel is in need of a good over haul.
Bathroom is OK, nothing special however there was a leak from the upstairs bathroom which had clearly been leaking for some time due to the damage in the ceiling.
The hotel is uninhabitable. From dirty rooms to towels that looks like a rag to toilet not flushing or basins that is not draining and without functioning tap.Noisy and dusty AC, Rotten furnitures and facilities. In a nutshell, the hotel should be closed for ronovations and refurbishment. This hotel should be removed from every booking site as it is not even a 1 star hotel. It is more of a glorified prison. I was shown 3 diffrent rooms and they are all the same. I had to run for my life and went to pay for another hotel somehwere else.
