Nice hotel in a fab location

This hotel is in a great location, just 20 mins from the airport and about 15 minutes from the markets. The atmosphere at the hotel is generally relaxed, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, some of them don't have great views so if this is a big thing for you I would suggest emailing them ahead of your travel. The hotel itself i would say is a 3 star plus. Some areas are a little dated and tired especially the pool bar. The pools and slides are fab and the entertainment staff are really fun. If you tip the waiters at dinner you will have a table reserved each night and drinks at the table. Its not a luxury hotel but it is pretty and great for a family holiday. It was great value for money and the food was very good. There are also options for vegans including almond milk at breakfast. The main pool with slides has lots of activities while the second pool is a little quieter. You do have to reserve a sunbed early (signs say your not allowed but everyone does) ideally before 7.30am will get you a great bed for the day! The main pool does have a sharp ledge so be careful not to cut your toes. Definitely take a refillable bottle with you, the bar staff will happily refil them for you. Overall we had a lovely stay.

STAFF

The staff make this hotel great! The photography team (Abdel, Loubna, Asmae and Abdou) were fantastic with our children and very talented. The staff in the main Atlas restaurant were always so busy but always managed to find us a table and remember our drinks order. Staff in Gusto restaurant were also wonderful too. Salah at the pool bar always remembered us and I had a very relaxing massage in the spa one afternoon by Khajida. Khalil (the porter) was super friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!

10 days in Kenzi Agdal Medina.

We were a family of 6( 4 adults, two children). We had a great experience and fantastic holiday. We were a bit skeptical as we had read several negative reviews, but we really had nothing to worry about. The food was good( a little repetitive, but you expect that with AI, but there was something for everyone; wine, beers, water and soft drinks brought you your table for the evening meals. The entertainment team make the holiday though, they work tirelessly to ensure you have a good time. Super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is clean, rooms were more than adequate given the little time we spent in them . There are areas that need a little TLC( the pool does need a bit of retiling) but on the whole it's a nice hotel, set in beautiful grounds. We can't really fault our holiday, and had a great 10 days!

Glad it was a short stay

I did a 4 night stay and was grateful it was a short break. Reception staff were really friendly on arrival, but we arrived in the evening and it took quite a long time to get checked in - waited in reception for a while then had to wait for a while for a buggy to take us to the room which in hindsight was walking distance. We weren’t given wristbands, so we had to go back the next day for them.

The room was fairly spacious and clean, the cleaners were lovely.

The pool doesn’t open until 10am which isn’t ideal with a toddler, people did start to go in from around 9:30 though. With that being said, the pool is great for little ones and spacious too. As others have mentioned, there were broken tiles etc round the pool which made it look a little run down.

Food was nice but there wasn’t a huge variety. The restaurant never felt too busy but we did often find it hard to get a table due to them not being cleared quickly. A lot of the plates in the restaurant were dirty and getting glasses and cutlery was difficult. My partner became quite ill on the last day and is still extremely unwell 4 days later - suspected food poisoning.

Bar staff were friendly but wait times were quite long and the bar was covered in wasps that would often follow you back with your drinks. Drinks by the pool had to be drank pretty much straight away or they’d be swarmed with wasps.

The animation team were good and there was always something going on.

We never used the towel cards but upon checking out, only had one. Reception said there was 3 allocated on the system and charged us £40 for the ‘missing two’. I never use towel cards as I always bring my own - it would have been nice to have been informed of this charge on arrival.

Overall, it was okay for a few days but I wouldn’t return.

Hotel Nice just very disorganised

Just returned from a week's stay. On arrival all seemed fine. We arrived early before we could check into the room but this wasn't an issue we was given our wristbands and could make full use of facilities until our room was ready at 3pm. Come 3pm I was taken to my room and on entry there was only 1 bed between 2 adults 2 kid age 6 and 5. This was noted and to be fair the man said he will get the extra beds made up. Off I went back to the rest of the family back at the pool untill we returned back to our room around 6.30pm. On entering the room the beds had still not been sorted. So a quick call to reception to chase this up and they said they will sort it. So we got ready and deicide to go for some food as we had been up sine 2.30am so we was all flaked. On return to the room at 8.30pm the beds still not done. In the end I had to go to reception who said its no problem they will sort it by the time beds where done it was 9.10pm. Really poor when all we wanted to do was go to bed and reset for tomorrow.

Pool hours are 10am to 6pm and you cant get a towel before 10 if you are lucky. Pool should be open at least 8am for those who are up and want to make use of the hot weather. Plenty of beds to choose from though so we didnt find that of an issue.

Breakfast 6.30 till 10. We went down at 6.30 on checkout due to being picked up at 7.30 and you couldn't get anything. No one cooking eggs/omelette not pancakes just no attendance from cooking staff. Juice machines not cold or switched on. Tables still dirty from the evening before.

Meal times was so disorganised. Never any consistency with items either no plates or cups ect or no ice tables left dirty. Ask staff for drinks and could take 10mins for the drink to arrive.

Food however was really good that is of course if you could get some as the dishes were always running out so you spend ages waiting to complete your dish.

Snack bar was the worst I have ever seen.

The pool bar the staff where lovely but if you want a cold drink in 40 degree heat your out of luck. Everything left on the counter and even when taken from the fridge the drinks where warm. Ice had to be added to everything which isnt a problem.apart from the fact they was always put of ice. Kept being told to come back in 10. Drink choice was poor aswell.

Big pool had lights missing and cables exposed. Not a good look really safety wise they should be removed or covered with appropriate ip rated box

Its a shame because the hotel environment and rooms and pools where lovely. Its just the organisiation and running of the facilities that needs to be addressed. It was busy so maybe they just couldnt handle the volume.
