We are a couple and both 50 y.o.
We love this hotel.
Very stylish throughout.
Lovely big outdoor pool and not too cold.
Delicious food.
Managed my wife’s pumpkin allergy brilliantly. (Pumpkin is popular here).
Staff that made us feel very cared-for.
Short taxi to city or airport (£10 each way).
Ten minute, safe walk to big carrefour supermarket, atm etc.
About 50/50 french and uk customers at the hotel.
Be aware, food is not for burger/chips lovers, but they do great pizza every lunch and dinner time. Mainly Moroccan or Indian or Italian meals.
People wanting wild night life or a crazy daytime pool party may be disappointed.
It can be a race for the best loungers in the morning.
Little sparrows fly in and out of the hotel all the time. They don’t touch the humans. We loved it. So cute.
Our ideas:
An Ouzod waterfalls excursion is worth it but it’s a full day with a lot of driving.
Hiring a guide for a tour of the souk is well worth it, you will see so much more.
A mosaic tile workshop is a great excursion.
Book excursions online in advance and save up to 50%.
Be a good and kind tourist and the Moroccan people will love you.
You will not be pushed at all to give £-tips but they are appreciated. We tipped from £5 to £20 but not for every single drink, just at key points.
We have just come back from a lovely five-night stay at Jaal Riad. This was our second visit, and once again, we really enjoyed it. A big thank you to Chicco for keeping everyone entertained. You did a great job and made our stay even more enjoyable. There was no entertainment when we visited in May 2025, so it was lovely to see this added. Thank you also to the pool bar staff for being so friendly and for teaching me a little Arabic — ha ha. A special thank you to Salim for the evening cocktails. You were great as always, and we are sorry we did not get to say goodbye as you were busy with other customers. There were some issues around the pool with sunbeds, but we could see the hotel was trying to sort this out. Brand new sunbeds were being unwrapped and put out for guests to use. Some people were still unhappy, but unfortunately you cannot please everyone. I was also disappointed by the behaviour of one English guest, which I found quite embarrassing and totally unnecessary. The food was great, and we always found something to eat. We never went hungry. If you are expecting very fancy food or only want chicken and chips, this may not be the right hotel for you. The coffee machines worked well when used properly. If your cup is not full enough, you can add more, but it helps to press cancel once the cup is full so it does not overflow into the tray and stop the machine from working. Overall, we had a great holiday and would happily return. For the price we paid, we felt it was very good value. No hotel is perfect, and if you arrive with realistic expectations, you can have a really enjoyable stay. We have just had seven nights in Norway, which cost three times as much, and people still found things to complain about.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming. The Atelier restaurant offers a varied and tasty buffet every day. We also had dinner at the Moroccan restaurant and loved the traditional local dishes, well prepared and nicely presented. The service was friendly and attentive. The Moroccan night was a great highlight, with a lovely atmosphere and an impressive show. We highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to come back
We have just returned from our first trip to Morocco and can't wait to return. The Jaal Riad resort was outstanding in every way....food, accommodation, staff, drinks,pool.....everything was superb and exceeded our expectations. Special mention to Salim in the bar, reception staff and Mohammed, our guide on the Marrakech Express Tour which was extremely interesting and entertaining.
Hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated, staff are attentive and look after you, food and drinks have been ok, there been a great atmosphere around the hotel with the world cup currently taking place, staff wearing football tops and drummers walking around keeping the energy up
