From Harrow, London: We had lovely time at El Olivar Place Hotel
We loved this hotel for its exceptional cleanliness and friendly staff. In particular, the staff at the restaurant, bar, and entertainment venues were extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming.
The food was excellent, especially the dishes cooked in the traditional tagine, which were on another level. We also thoroughly enjoyed the aqua exercise sessions in the pool, which were both fun and engaging. The Moroccan traditional music and songs performed by local musicians added a wonderful cultural touch to our stay.
On the downside, the hotel is quite far from Marrakech city centre, and there is very little to see or do in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, it was not possible to go for a walk outside the hotel because there are no proper pedestrian pathways, and vehicles travel at high speeds on the adjacent roads.
The rooms do not include tea or coffee-making facilities, which would have been appreciated. The room carpet also feels a little outdated and could benefit from refurbishment. Dinner service begins at 7:30 pm, which may be too late for elderly guests. In addition, alcoholic beverages at the bar frequently ran out of stock.
Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, thanks to the excellent staff, cleanliness, food, and entertainment. However, I would recommend that the management review these areas and make the necessary improvements, as there is still room for enhancement before the hotel can truly be considered a five-star property.

Always a pleasure at Olivar Palace
I had a really lovely stay at El Olivar Palace and genuinely enjoyed my time there. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, which made travelling on my own feel really comfortable.
A special mention to the entertainment team — The amazing Sam, Mehdi, Mike, Happy, Fadia, and Selma. It was such a pleasure getting to interact with them during my stay. They all brought such a lovely energy to the hotel and made the atmosphere so enjoyable. Sam in particular was fantastic on the DJ side and always created a great atmosphere! A real talent!
My room was lovely and quiet, which I really appreciated, and the bed was HUGE and so comfortable. A really great sized balcony as well.
Sara from Guest Relations deserves a special mention too. She is an absolute diamond — so friendly, warm and genuinely lovely to speak to. She always made me feel welcome and was so helpful whenever I saw her.
And the Friday couscous deserves a mention because it was great! Definitely something I’d look forward to again if I return.
One final thing I can’t not mention is the massage I had. Wow wow wow best I’ve ever had. A serious must do if you stay here.
Overall, I had such a positive experience at El Olivar Palace. The lovely staff, entertainment team, peaceful room and great food made my stay really enjoyable. I’d definitely come back and would happily recommend the hotel.

Lovely
We had a lovely stay at El Olivar Palace. The staff were all lovely, especially the entertainment team and bar staff, we felt very welcomed by them. The rooms were nice, our shower flooded but no big problem. The pool was big, food was nice with a big variety. As a young couple coming away it was lovely. Entertainment ends at 11 but there was lots of bars and clubs nearby you could go to. I personally would not say this is a 5 star hotel, 3 at most - but it was enjoyable and fit our needs. We had a very good stay.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Everything was perfect, from the beautiful and elegant atmosphere to the delicious food and the exceptional service. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and every little detail made the experience even more special. Very loud music nkasted out all day and evening. AVOID
Terrible loud music noise from pool area from late morning until 5.30pm. Started again at 7pm to 11pm from the stage round pool made worse by entertainer shouting through microphone. Not popular as demonstrated by very few people round pool and about 10 people taking part in evening. Even with bedroom doors shut I could still hear it and not be able to sleep. WHY does it have to be so loud? Waiter service for drinks during dinner very slow with little English. Given tiny wine glass as large ones had run out? Will not be returning.
