Domaine des Remparts Hotel and Spa

Stayed for 5 nights as a couple in the beginning of September. It was an amazing and most serene stay. The staff are going the extra mile to make you feel welcomed and looked after. The grounds are the highlight, beautifully maintained gardens with lush greenery, teeming with birds. Two pools with plenty of choice of sun beds and loungers in the shade or in the sun. We were welcomed with a plate of moroccan pastries and mint tea. Not many people around and you feel very relaxed, music is not too loud and you can just enjoy the bird song. There are two cats that are roaming the grounds which was a highlight to spot them. Decor is amazing and everything is spotless. Rooms are large, we had one with pool view but it was more like a front garden with hedges around it with a gap to get to the main pool. We liked the smaller heated pool more. The rooms have plenty of seating and storage, separate bathroom and toilet. One drawback was the toilet did not have a sink to wash your hands which would have been useful. The front door faces directly a footpath on the perimeter and back glass door faces the pool. Another point would be to have the card lock or a key to the back door so you do not have to go around, but there is a small side path alongside the building. We had treatment in the spa, it was very relaxing too. Breakfast to choose from is european and marrakeshi, both great options and left us full pretty much until dinner. We had half-board stay so we dined at the main restaurant - the vegetarian options are not extensive, the lunchtime menu at the poolside bar was much better for the vegetarians but unfortunately not available at dinner. Bottled water is given in the room and at breakfast, I would suggest a large dispenser would also be useful if someone would rather want to refill their own bottle. The menus unfortunately do not state whether the dish is vegetarian/vegan at all, or if it contains allergens like nuts etc. For a vegetarian with some nut and fruits allergies it can be a somewhat challenging stay. It would be very easy to make couple more of vegetarian itmes from lunchtime menu included in the evening offering to solve the problem. Do take advantage of the free shuttle which takes you to the city centre, but be aware you need to book ahead if you want to use it, its only 20min drive. Prices are not bad for 5 star hotel, drinks cost on average the same as they would be in the uk chain pub/restaurant. We would definetly be back in cooler months to see more of the city as we mainly just stayed in the hotel.

We spent 4 wonderful nights here. We arrived very early on our first day and was greeted with tea and cake and an invitation to use the facilities whilst we waited for our room.

Our room was clean, spacious and beautifully presented. We found the resort to be so quiet and peaceful.

Breakfast on the lawn was a lovely treat and the food was delicious. It was lovely touch that the staff remembered our breakfast order and coffees. Those little touches go a long way.

We used the spa during our stay. And just wow. The spa feels so luxurious and the treatments (Hammam, massage and facial) were to die for. It genuinely was the best massage I’ve had in a very long time.

Big shoutout to the staff at the hotel. They really make this place. Always a smile. Always friendly and nothing was too much trouble. On our last morning today, we ordered a quick coffee before our taxi and they made it to takeaway. It’s just those little thoughtful touches.

We can’t wait to come back here again in the future. I can’t recommend this resort enough.
