Dar Lalla Fdila

We spent the most magical week at this amazing Dar Lalla F'dila Riad and we will definitely be back! The place is so tranquil and divine and it really is one of Medina’s hidden treasures. It is the most exquisite Riad, hosting an aura of such serenity and peace throughout the whole building. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel like house guests and were greeted by the warm and friendly host. On the first night we had an beautiful home cooked dinner, prepared from scratch by the superb chef, who I still say prepared me the best meal I ate for the whole week we were in Marrakesh.

As the week progressed I fell more in love with the Riad not only because of its most beautiful décor and incredible cleanliness but because of the hospitality of the staff. Havid one of the site managers went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed as well as help to make my partners birthday that extra bit special. I have never ever met anyone as hardworking, professional and amazing as him while traveling on a holiday, he honestly made our stay at the Riad extremely special by going above and beyond for us as guests. He never stopped being busy but always smiling and making all the other guests feel just as special on their stay too.

While staying at the Riad we had a fantastic Hammam and the best massage I have ever had, the masseuse was very friendly, professional and did everything to a high standard. I would definitely recommend having a treatment within the Riad. One of my favorite things about the Riad is the beautiful soft music that would be played in the day. The music would fill the Riad with such an elegant and relaxing thought inspiring energy, as well as the times in the day when you can actually hear in sync all the prayers happening around Medina flow through the riad, it absolutely beautiful and really did add to the magic of our stay.

From start to finish the whole experience offered at this Riad is wonderful. Hafed and Abdou work night and day to make you feel at home, organise home-cooked meals by the fabulous on-site chef Fatima, organise day trips, sort taxis, recommend restaurants and make this Riad feel like a 5* luxurious haven! We weren't expecting much, as most Riad's in Marrakech look very similar on booking.com, however this place is so beautiful, quiet and clean. The rooms are all different, but all very big and have all the amenities (no full-length mirror, but I can get over that!!) The rooftop is the highlight, as it was mostly always quiet and felt private! There's loungers and tables, and you can eat your breakfast and dinner here if you wish. 10/10 would recommend. My partner and I said we'd only visit Marrakech again to come back to the Dar Lalla F'dila for a week's holiday. The only negative I can think of is the front door situation - you have to knock and wait for somebody to let you in. They were never more than a minute or so, but I can imagine if you needed to get back in if you felt unsafe at night etc, then it would be a problem. Maybe a key safe lock-box would be good?
