The best of best hotel in sharm

Spent a glorious 14 days at the now Jaz elite palace and from beginning to the end of my holiday in May it was an absolutely perfect holiday, Located right on the private beach and the sea is so calm in the morning it's magical, Youssef (Habibi) and the gang at the beach bar are amazing, keeping you hydrated with whatever you prefer, it's the staff that make this hotel the best in Sharm, every single member of staff goes above and beyond expectations to insure you have a great time, The food was excellent in all the restaurants many thanks to Ahmed and all the gang at the 2 Al la carte restaurants (thanks for the birthday cake). Special thanks to the guy who kept our room (2204) spotless and always made sure we had everything we needed. Mohamed Ali at the pool bar works from morning till night and really is the greatest of all time was always very helpful and smiling, At the main bar Islam is a brilliant barman (number 1). Animation team where always a good laugh and most of the entertainment was ok the DJ and the 2 female singers where great but the violinist wasn't, the Egyptian Stella beer is my favourite but the g&t's are a close 2nd. Special thanks to Fathy for bringing our treats, also Farouk and his team on reception for everything, from the moment we arrived till the last day they were all exceptional. We had no problems whatsoever during our stay but the main man Youseff M and his customer relations team where brilliant, any problems, he's the man, but please put om Ali back on the menu at Alibaba, my only criticism is that men no longer have to wear trousers in the evenings at the buffet restaurants, I much preferred it the old way (It's nice to dress up of an evening, but that's just me. Happy to say you still do in the al la carte restaurants, thoroughly recommend you book these as the food is first class. Loved it so much, our home from home, already booked to go back on the 7th of September (Can't wait) see you in a few days my Egyptian family (mashallah).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jaz Elite Palace – Our Honest First Stay 🇪🇬

This was our first ever visit to Sharm El Sheikh, and after reading some very mixed reviews before booking Jaz Elite Palace, we decided to go with an open mind and make our own judgement.

We stayed for 10 nights 23/08 - 02/09 2026 Overall, we had a really good holiday, made some great memories and, despite a few negatives, we would highly recommend Jaz Elite Palace to anyone looking for an adults-only hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.

Here’s our honest experience.

🚌 Arrival & Check-In We arrived in the early hours of the 24th. Our airport transfer took around half an hour in a small minibus, with one other hotel drop-off before ours.

On arrival, we were greeted with a cold cloth and orange juice, which was a lovely welcome after travelling.

Check-in was quick and easy, and a member of staff took us and our luggage straight to our room.

🛏️ Our Room As a married couple, we were initially allocated two single beds. We asked if they could be pushed together and this was done promptly by a member of staff.

Although we would have preferred an actual double bed, it wasn’t a major issue once they had been put together.

We also asked for the snacks and minibar contents to be removed, and this was done at the same time.

Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. We had a kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and coffee mate, plus two bottles of filtered water.

There was also a safe, which was really easy to use, and we had a lovely patio with a table and chairs overlooking the sea.

The one thing we think would improve the room would be direct access from the patio into the room, rather than only being able to enter through the corridor.

We were given a sea-view room upgrade because it was our first visit, which was a really nice gesture.

Our room was 2413, at the top of the stairs between the restaurant and the onsite pub/sports bar. The sea view wasn’t quite as glamorous as perhaps we’d imagined, but it was still lovely to have.

Housekeeping was daily, and tea, coffee and water were refreshed every day.

The bathroom had shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and body lotion. The hotel toiletries weren’t the best, so if you’re particular about your own products, especially conditioner, I’d recommend bringing enough with you. I ran out of conditioner and bought some from the onsite chemist, but it wasn’t particularly good.

📶 Wi-Fi & Air Conditioning The Wi-Fi was excellent.

We were connected throughout the whole holiday and had no problems at all.

The air conditioning was also fantastic. The units looked really new and the whole hotel was icy cold.

In fact, if anything, we sometimes found reception and the pub a little too cold!

We also didn’t have any issues with mosquitoes during our stay. We didn’t really see any and neither of us got bitten.

👏 The Staff For us, the staff were one of the biggest highlights of Jaz Elite Palace.

They were nothing short of amazing. They work incredibly hard throughout the day and nothing seemed too much trouble.

One particular member of staff who looked after the pool area was fantastic. He was always smiling, constantly checking whether we needed anything and quickly learned which drinks we liked.

We were more than happy to tip him daily because he genuinely went above and beyond.

The staff really do deserve recognition for how hard they work.

🏊‍♀️ Pools & Sunbed There are two pools, with a bar at the top pool and a shallower pool lower down.

We spent our entire holiday around the lower pool.

We generally found sunbeds available from around 7am through to 10am, although some guests did reserve beds with towels and then leave them unused for much of the day.

We do think the hotel needs to be firmer about removing towels from beds that aren’t actually being used.

The pool area isn’t particularly large considering the size of the hotel. If there wasn’t also a beach area, there simply wouldn’t be enough space around the pool for all guests.

There is room around the pool where we think additional sunbeds could be added. We also think moving the cabanas further back and bringing some of the parasols closer to the pool could make better use of the space.

Beach towels are provided and changed daily without having to ask.

There are toilets by the beach bar, or you can use the spa facilities. Just be aware that the spa doesn’t open until 10am, so if you’re around the pool early in the morning, the beach bar toilets are the option. We sometimes found ourselves going back to our room until the spa opened.

🏖️ Beach We didn’t spend much time on the beach because it was simply too hot for us — we lived in the pool!

My husband did walk along the beach, and further up he noticed a buildup of rubbish along the shoreline. Because of what we saw, we decided not to go into the sea ourselves.

That’s purely based on our own experience during our stay.

🍽️ Food & Drinks The food was probably our biggest disappointment.

We certainly didn’t go hungry, as there was always food available, but compared with the other all-inclusive holidays we’ve been on, this was probably our least favourite.

We found the food quite repetitive and ate very little at times because we simply weren’t enjoying it.

A lot of it was also quite bland. There were spices available on the side, but personally we don’t think adding spices afterwards is the same as actually cooking and seasoning the food with them.

The best food for us was the beach bar, where you could get pizzas, burgers, chicken wraps and similar food.

The beer was actually something I really enjoyed. We didn’t really try spirits or cocktails, so we can’t comment on those.

There was a good choice of soft drinks, including Fanta, Sprite and Coke, along with fresh juices.

Drinks weren’t always as cold as we’d have liked, so we often added ice.

Crisps were available on request.

There were also ice creams at lunch, dinner and from the beach bar, and the mango flavour was absolutely to die for! 🥭🍦

One thing I would have preferred was sealed bottled water rather than filtered water. I initially drank the filtered water, but it upset my stomach, so I stopped.

🍽️ À La Carte Restaurants The hotel has à la carte restaurants which can be booked using the QR code on the card provided with your room keys.

We didn’t use them during our stay because of the dress code requiring trousers. With how hot it was, my husband wasn’t interested in wearing trousers for dinner!

If smart shorts had been acceptable, we probably would have tried at least one.

So unfortunately, we can’t comment on the food or service in the à la carte restaurants.

💆‍♀️ Spa On our first day, we booked the Couples Honeymoon Package, which cost €280 for the two of us for two hours.

This included the steam room, sauna, a Turkish hammam with a full-body scrub, a coffee and chocolate body wrap and a one-hour massage each.

We had a lovely relaxing experience and felt doing it on the first day was a great way to prepare our skin before spending the rest of the holiday in the sun and working on our tans.

We’d recommend having a look at the spa packages and prices when you arrive.

🎤 Entertainment There was evening entertainment throughout our stay, including shows and singers.

The performers were good, but honestly, the type of entertainment wasn’t really our thing.

We may have enjoyed some of the entertainment in the onsite pub, but it was simply too cold in there for us to sit comfortably. The air conditioning was absolutely freezing!

Even the pool/snooker room was incredibly cold, and we struggled to stay in there for long even when we went in to play pool.

You could hear the entertainment from the top pool and some noise from the pub from our room, but it wasn’t excessively loud and it wasn’t on late enough to disturb our sleep.

The entertainment team also ran activities including yoga, bowls, darts, cooking lessons, Arabic lessons and volleyball.

Our disappointment was that these activities were held on the beach rather than around the pool.

Because we preferred spending our time around the pool, we couldn’t really take part. It would be great to see some activities moved to the pool area as well.

There was also a white party on the beach on Friday night. We were out on a trip and returned after 10pm, so we missed it, although we could see it from our room and it looked like it was going well.

🚧 Building Work This was probably our other main disappointment.

Before travelling, we had provided TUI with photographic evidence and were advised that there were no works being carried out at the hotel.

The hotel had also apparently told TUI that no major works were taking place and that only emergency works would be carried out.

However, works around the pool area had apparently already been there since July.

During our stay, the canopy over reception opposite the top pool was replaced and then stained. Personally, we wouldn’t class this as emergency work.

There was also a large section of tiled flooring near our room which was taken up and relaid.

One afternoon we went back to our room for a nap but couldn’t sleep because we could hear the new tiles being cut with an electric cutter.

We have photos and recordings of the noise inside our room and will be raising this with TUI.

Having said that, we do think it’s important to acknowledge that the hotel is clearly investing in upgrading and improving the property, which is a positive for the future.

It’s more the timing, disruption and communication surrounding the work that disappointed us.

♿ Mobility If you have mobility issues, this is something we’d definitely consider before booking.

There are quite a lot of stairs around the hotel, and we didn’t see any lifts during our stay.

Depending on where your room is located, this could potentially be difficult for anyone who struggles with stairs or walking longer distances.

🏨 Overall Atmosphere We really enjoyed the fact that Jaz Elite Palace is adults-only.

For us, it was a great environment for a relaxing couples’ holiday. It wasn’t a huge party hotel, but there was enough going on to stop it feeling boring.

The hotel itself is sizeable, but the pool area does feel relatively small in comparison, which is why we think better use of some of the available space could make a real difference.

❤️ Final Verdict So, would we recommend Jaz Elite Palace? Yes — absolutely.

Was it perfect? No.

The food was our biggest disappointment, we didn’t get on with the filtered water, we weren’t impressed by what we saw further along the beach, and the building work and communication around it were frustrating.

There are also areas where we think the hotel could improve, particularly the sunbed situation, pool-area facilities, activities around the pool and accessibility for guests with mobility issues.

But there are also a lot of positives.

The staff were fantastic, the room was spacious and clean, the Wi-Fi was excellent, the air conditioning was brilliant, housekeeping was reliable, the pool was great, the spa was lovely and the hotel is clearly investing in improvements.

Most importantly, we had a good holiday and made some great memories.

For us, Jaz Elite Palace is a great adults-only hotel, and despite the negatives we’ve mentioned, we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Sharm El Sheikh.

Go with an open mind, don’t expect everything to be perfect, and make your own judgement.

For us, it was a really good holiday and a great first experience of Sharm El Sheikh. 🇪🇬❤️
