Better than we imagined
Having visited Egypt over 30 times since we met, and more before, this hotel has really stood out. As has the visit... We're so relaxed...
From the entrance to the hotel, with its grandure, from the greeting and reception team to the guy cleaning your glasses by the pool. This hotel breathes 5* and amazing customer service. The drinks trolley around the pool, the guy spraying cool scented water to cool you down. We can't find fault.
The best buffet restaurant we've ever known in Egypt and the À la carte restaurants are awsome.
The grounds are manacured to perfection and the customer service team are there asking for our thoughts and opinions and really seem to want to make your stay special.
Plus, the spectacle of a lightning storm was the topping on the cake. Never seen that in over 25 years. We know this can't be repeated by the hotel but wow!
So good that while we were laying by the pool we've booked to come back next April... It's that good...
Sadly we had to leave... But we'll be back in April 2027... Could be sooner if my researcher (Lady Lynda) finds a good deal....!

The best experience in Egypt
The best experience at Steigenberger Alcazar. All the staff is amazing. Everything from food to entertainment is very good. A lot of entertainment activities which are really fun. Hasan is the best entertainer. The rooms are very big and spacious. The atmosphere is really friendly. We will come back for sure.
We will definitely return here, felt like paradise!
We stayed at Steigenberger for two weeks, it is our second time in Sharm and the first at this hotel. The experience was truly amazing: food is delicious, service is amazing, attentive and careful, and the staff is great. The beach is broad, spacious and beautiful, the jetty and the amenities are truly complete, the housekeeping staff is insanely kind and attentive!
An honorable mention goes to the following:
- the animation team chief Hassan: he is very kind, fun, talented, and made the animation team’s activities for a friends group very funny, fun and creative! And this comes from someone who never wanted to participate in animation teams’ activities before!
- Kamal, the bartender: best cocktails in the whole resort, very kind, attentive - he spoiled us!
Exceptional hospitality that made our stay unforgettable
From the moment we arrived, the team at Steigenberger Alcazar treated us like valued guests rather than just numbers.
The level of genuine care and attentiveness was outstanding — every member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile.
The chief of entertainment was great organizing different activities like aqua gym, zumba, pool activities, night shows and more!
The hotel itself is beautiful, but what truly elevated the experience to a perfect 5/5 was the hospitality. Nothing felt forced; the service was natural, thoughtful, and consistently excellent throughout our stay.
Additionally, the bars were amazing, ice was coming from distilled water and we would get plenty of water bottles in our room.
We left feeling completely looked after and already planning our return. Highly recommended for anyone who values outstanding service as much as a lovely resort.
Also, Kamal, Hassan, Marwan was very helpful and he would always make sure that we had what we wanted!
3rd visit, will definitely return!
3rd time visiting the Steigenberger Alcazar hotel, and we loved it just as much, if not more than the 1st and 2nd time we visited, and are already planning to book again for next year.
The hotel staff genuinely make the stay more enjoyable, their attentiveness, hospitality and kindness exceed other hotels that i've stayed in, in the past. Nothing is ever too much to ask for. Special mention to Mahmoud and Ahmed the lifeguards around the adults only pool, Omar and Sayed at the adults only pool bar, Aswany in the lobby bar, Rabab in the buffet/Limoni restaurant, and Mahamed and Nat in the spa, they made our stay extra special, and always put smiles on our faces. There were many more members of staff to praise, each and every person we came across were very friendly.
The hotel itself has such a calming and relaxing atmosphere it's the perfect place to unwind, the rooms are very spacious, and were kept very clean throughout our stay, the beds are very comfortable and all the amenities in the room were great. The only thing different this time was that the mini-bar is not included in the all-inclusive package anymore, only water and tea/coffee is free of charge, which is apparently across the board completely with Jaz hotels now. However, this didn't bother us too much and we were reminded that if there was anything we would have liked, we just needed to ask guest relations, they were extremely helpful.
Additionally, the hotel is kept extremely clean, and the gardens are kept neat, the gardeners do such a great job.
Furthermore, what we love about this hotel is the quality of the food, all the a la carte restaurants are amazing, this time the Italian was a personal favourite, however every meal we had in each restaurant was very tasty, and again each member of staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. It was also nice to see chefs coming out to ask whether we enjoyed the food, etc, which was nice, as it shows they do genuinely care about the food they prepare, and I always feel confident that good safety standards are strictly followed when it comes to the food.
We also enjoyed a few treatments in the Mivida Spa, I got a back massage done by Nat, and it was genuinely the best massage i've ever had it was so relaxing, I felt great afterwards. I also had a pedicure done by Mahamed and my feet feel brand new.
There was truly nothing that we could have complained about during our stay, everything was perfect and we had another great and memorable stay at the Steigenberger Alcazar, and I cannot wait to return in the near future. 😊
