Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The holiday eas amazing. So many good aspects. It was a nice clean spacious hotel, with loads of fun activities thanks to the animation team, food was yummy and I would love to stay again for sure due to the great atmosphere created. Both me and my friends loved every day.
I was there for 5 nights with my wife and 17 year old daughter. Location is great with many shops just outside the hotel. Atmosphere was relaxed and entertaining and despite the hotel being fully booked there was no feeling of overcrowding with plenty of lounge chairs at the pools and beach. Rooms were spacious and clean not luxurious but nice. The beach was all sand and very clean. The snorkeling was very limited with only 1 reef formation about 30 m2 with quite a few fish but very little coral but a new very long pier extension still unopened promises better snorkeling once opened. The Staff were fantastic always smiling and going out of their way to serve you. The hotel is extremely generous with their 24 hr all inclusive package which included meals and unlimited local alcoholic drinks along with soft drinks with bars and fridges full of bottled water dispersed all over the resort. Breakfast buffet is available in 3 restaurants in the lobby ; lunch buffet in 3 different restaurants on the beach swim suits permitted. Dinner also gave a choice of 3 restaurants and in all meals you can visit and select what you want from all 3. Picky eaters can always find something to eat. Dinner buffet had numerous live stations and always included shrimp, calamari, and fish, along with different selections of meats such as chicken beef and duck with different barbecue on patio every night. There is also a lobby bar with snacks and sweets open 24hrs. We were permitted 2 pre booked dinner reservations at their 2 ala carte restaurants but I would stick with the buffets or you could have both; no limit. Water park was smaller than expected but also entertaining for 1 or 2 hrs a day. Nabq Bay is known to be windy but during our visit the waters were very calm and the weather very pleasant. We booked a 1 day trip to go snorkeling at Ras Mohamad reserve through the hotel dive club which offered a much better price than the travel companies that approached us in the lobby with only 25 people on a new 24 m 3 deck yacht; highly recommended for excellent snorkeling or scuba. Overall an excellent experience with the hotel delivering on all promises. We didn’t once hear the word no. Many thanks to the hotel and their pleasant staff.

From check-in to every request during our stay, he was professional, friendly, and always ready with a genuine smile. He set the perfect tone for our entire holiday. In Summary PickAlbatros Laguna Vista delivered an exceptional experience in every way. We will absolutely be back.
While the rooms were clean and the resort itself was spacious and convenient, the food was terrible. There are five restaurants, yet they all serve nearly identical dishes seasoned with the same spices. Everything was overly heavy, and there was almost no variety. The only alternative was fast food, which wasn’t good either. We ended up spending the last few days eating nothing but apples just to avoid getting stomachaches.
The service is the next thing I want to complain about, particularly the rude and sarcastic behavior of some of the staff. The way you’re treated depends on your nationality. I also overheard staff members speaking negatively about guests in Arabic (which I understand) while chatting with visitors from their own country.
That said, there were some positives. The sea was clear, calm, and very comfortable for swimming. I’d also recommend booking one of the bungalows rather than a standard room, as the standard rooms are quite far from the beach. The resort has several large pools, so there’s plenty of variety if you don’t want to spend the whole day by the sea. There are also several shops right outside the hotel, making it very convenient to buy souvenirs or anything else you might need. The evening entertainment programs were enjoyable as well and made the nights more fun.
If those things don’t bother you, then you may still enjoy your stay, as the resort grounds are well maintained, the rooms are clean, and the sea is beautiful.
I recently stayed at Pickalbatros Laguna Vista for two weeks and returned yesterday. We booked and travelled with easyJet, which we hadn’t used before, but it was much cheaper than TUI while offering a very similar service.
We arrived at around 10pm and were told food was available in the lobby bar. However, the only options were pastries and cakes, which was a little disappointing after a long journey.
The positives:
The negatives:
Would I return? Probably, but I would only stay for one week next time due to the repetition in both food and entertainment.
