Paid $4,000 for a Disappointing Experience – Definitely Not a 5-Star Hotel

Dear Hotel management of Jaz Mirabel resort Sharm El-Sheikh. I hope this email fins you well.

Please note that Paid $4,000 for a Disappointing Experience – Definitely Not a 5-Star Hotel Review: Jaz Mirabel Resort Sharm Our stay was for 9 nights, from the 4th to the 13th of July. We paid $4,000 for what turned out to be a highly disappointing experience. This was the worst vacation I have ever had with my family, and it is absolutely a one-time experience that will never be repeated. To be fair, the staff are highly respectful, outstanding, and very friendly. However, the hotel itself is a failure in every sense of the word and does not deserve a rating higher than 4 stars. The price paid is way too high for the hotel's actual standard, and the services are extremely poor. They couldn’t even provide ice at the bars! The overall services and amenities are completely unworthy of a 5-star classification. I will never stay here again, and I do not recommend it to anyone. Detailed Points: Animation Team: Completely unengaging and lack energy; unfortunately, my rating for them is zero. Staff Shortage: There is a severe shortage of staff across the facilities, and it is very obvious that the employees are completely exhausted. Power Outage: To make matters worse, the electricity was completely cut off today, Wednesday, from the morning until the afternoon. Shisha Service: Extremely poor. The quality of the materials and flavor used is very low, the hoses are of the worst quality, and there was only one charcoal tong shared among everyone. It is a terrible shisha experience, especially considering its high price. Atmosphere and Restrictions: The resort is excessively quiet. When we tried to play some music at a low volume, the staff stopped us under the pretext that hotel rules do not allow it. Lobby Air Conditioning & Match Viewing Area: The cooling in the lobby is very poor. The area designated for watching football matches is uncomfortable; compared to other hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh that provide water misters and far better service, this was a letdown. Snack Bars & Drink Quality: The snack bars constantly lack ice, the soft drinks provided are of very low quality, and they do not offer any savory snacks (like chips) at all. Furthermore, they close early at 11:00 PM, whereas other hotels keep their food court bars open until at least 12:00 AM with full service and a complete staff team. Room 4111 and 4113 Conditions: The flooring is in desperate need of maintenance. The door also needs repair as the internal lock is broken. Overall, the rooms are old and outdated. The services are poor due to the hotel's management system/policies. Please note that I met with the facility managers to discuss these issues. Based on my experience, this hotel does not deliver nor rise to a 5-star standard. Given all these reasons, and because the hotel is completely below standard, I demand a 50% refund of the total amount paid for our two rooms. Not recommended at all. I will personally deliver this message to the GM, Mr. Ibrahim Helala. My email murad_abualafya@hotmail.com.

Wonderful trip to jaz mirabel beach resort

we visited from 28th June till the 5th July. the flight outbound from Stansted as as delayed therefore our arrival was delayed. Sharm airport arrivals was fairly smooth however there were three security checks as soon as you get into the terminal. The wait for bags takes ages aswell. We got to the hotel around midnight, we got our room quickly and we're escorted there via a golf cart. We had been upgraded to a partial sea view which was very nice! the lobby is expansive with gorgeous chandeliers hanging down, it looked very Tuscan! it was stunning and the room was cleaned very well every day! Now let's talk food. as we landed late, we visited the late buffet. To tell the truth it was horrible, there was no food left however in all fairness it was 1am. The buffet itself is small, crowded and the food isn't that great. Let's talk breakfast. As a Brit, you think for breakfast there is sausages, any type of bacon, eggs, hash browns etc however there were none of that here! it was not great however if you want traditional Egyptian food then you'll love this. lunch and dinner were better, for dinner they have a barbeque on most nights which is delicious! for lunch we recommend going to the coral snack bar on the way to the buffet. get there early to get a nice table, there is no AC however the breeze is lovely. the food there is AMAZING, they had fresh pizza, fresh chips, burgers, salads you name it! they even had cold cut sandwiches to take on the go! the specialty restaurants are great too. We booked all three however you usually aren't allowed. SPECIAL THANKS TO THE CUSTOMER RELATIONS ADVISOR AS SHE WAS AMAZING! I DIDNT CATCH HER NAME UNFORTUNATELY BUT SHE MADE OUR STAY INCREDIBLE! the oriental wasnt great, the food wasnt the best but it was manageable. Ninos is the Italian which was amazing! I had the lasagne and there were Zero complaints. the decor was great and the service!!!!! I can't fault it. The Arabic restaurant sofra was great too. it's in the same restaurant however the food alternates between ninos and sofra each day. so the service and atmosphere is great! the food was amazing aswell, the breads they give at both are PERFECT. I filled up on bread every time😅. The pools are large and spacious and VERY warm! make sure to get up early and bag yourself good loungers! try get them in the shade as it was very hot in the direct sun! the beach was great too however the sand is very coarse and hard to walk on. the ocean is very shallow and hard to walk aswell as there were many coral reefs there! I recommend beach shoes as it can make it more manageable. the jaz mirabel jetty was shut for most of the week so they used a golf cart service to the steigenberger resorts one which was great but there was no sealife at all. eventually they opened ours and we saw loads of little and big fish! at the very end you see the coral reefs of different colours and it's gorgeous! the waves at the end where the ocean meets the bay is gorgeous too. we booked an excursion which was the submarine boat. where you go from sharm marina (20 mins drive) and then you can go to the top which is the boat where you enjoy great views, or under where you see the reef's and HUGE fish and loads of little ones! the lobby bar is amazing! they serve premium spirits free of charge and the setting is just great! the entertainment is okay, they have a BOHO night which was nice Itd basically white party and there's snacks, drinks and music! it was nice! they have kids mini disco on the beach and then they have different dances and singers on the stage also on the beach. make sure to spray loads of mosquito repellent before going as the beach at night attracts LOADS of them. the transfers to and from the resort are good too! make sure you take a pen with you from the UK as they ask you to fill in these landing cards which are essential to get into Egypt BUY OFF SPRAY, TRUST ME ITS THE BEST overall it was a great resort. The grounds sprawl wide and the workers do a great job of making sure it's clean and well looked after. some workers at the pool and beach bar have an attitude but it was okay if you don't take it to heart. I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone looking to come to Sharm on a budget, it's definitely the best value resort there! tipping is quite big out there, try tip as much as you can as they treat you like royalty if you do. don't forget aqua shoes, off spray, pen, loads of suncream, money to tip and just have fun!!! hope this helped🙂

Great hotel, food could be better

The hotel itself is immaculate - well maintained gardens and beautiful beach area. The staff are lovely although the restaurant staff rush to help and then forget what they were supposed to be getting for you. The beach bar service a fantastic and big shout out to Ahmed who always made sure we had the drinks we needed.Mohammed the beach guy was also super helpful. What lets this hotel down is the food. The buffet wasn’t great although we did find the earlier we went down the more choice there was. We also tried the Italian à la carte which was quite good and the Asian one which had lovely starters but terrible mains. All in all we had a fantastic holiday but would have hoped for better food at a resort like this.

Excellent stay :)

We have stayed at this hotel before, overall experience is excellent, a few niggles but hey you are never going to please everyone. Rooms excellent and cleaned daily, you get two bottles of water left daily, you can ask for more, there is a mini bar in the room but this is chargeable. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom but not the best. Pool towels are supplied and changed daily, the cleaner comes to your room on a evening and knocks on the door to change them over. Sun beds, we have never had this before in Egypt but there was not enough sun beds to go around, plenty of shaded areas but not enough beds for guests around the pool which meant people were getting up at 7 to reserve beds. Don't worry though there are loads at the beach a short walk away. Please bring wet shoes, the beach is very pebbly and hot uncomfortable without them. Bars are great you can get anything at any time they are 24hrs. Food was good, abit repetitive and the park side of the hotel there is no kids corner we mentioned this last time and does not appear to have been listened to. They are good in the restaurant if there is something you fancy and you don't see it, they will make it for you. You can request chicken nuggets where chips are served. Lacking in all areas was no hand santizer which is a must to avoid any upset tummys so bring bottles with you and hotel if you are reading this please install hand santizers all over the grounds reception and all areas where food is served, it shows you take sanitation seriously and will prevent illness. The staff are amazing they work so hard, the gardens are immaculate, the entertainment team are up for a laugh and get you involved with Zumba (shout out to Jaz), water aerobics, water polo, darts, beer pong and the colour party was great (shout out to Scooby who always goes that extra mile). The staff in the restaurants always have a smile and will serve you drinks. You can get spa treatments onsite and there is a beauty salon, I had a facial with Amr, he was great, very funny made me feel relaxed and the facial was great, he also assisted with calling Hard Rock cafe for us when we had left something behind. If you fancy doing any trips don't book with Tui, go outside the hotel cross the road and look for Nabq tours and ask for Mr Elvis, we have used him both times we have visited the hotel, he is very competitive on price and very reliable. Outside the hotel, there are lots of shops, be prepared to say no as they try to invite you into every shop, they are nice with it though not aggressive. You will find pharmacies everywhere, we stocked up on antibiotics and numerous other drugs that you can buy over the counter in Egypt for a fraction of the price you pay in England, something to consider. Hard Rock and McDonalds are within a 20 min walk or a short taxi ride for 70 Egyptian pounds which equates to a £1, worth it we did it you dont arrive sweaty :), download the app 'Indrive' their version of uber much better quality cars and you you have a record of who you are using you just pay cash at the end of the journey. Hard Rock and McDonalds are a little Pricey but worth a change from the hotel food. We love Egypt, we will be returning, thank you :)
