Rooms We stayed in Super Deluxe Beachfront Room on the ground floor. On the first day we arranged for breakfast room service so we could start the holiday at a leisurely pace. The view from the patio was gorgeous. You are literally seconds from the sun lounger areas which is really nice after a day of sunbathing and snorkelling, as you can dump your bags on the patio so you don’t get sand in the room. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The shower is fantastic too. Better than the one we have back at home. We honestly miss the bed and shower!
There was some renovation work going on in the room next to us. We enquired with reception with regards to having a small Sunday lie-in. The receptionist said he would ask the workmen to start a little later that day. We were perfectly happy with the room and every other day we were up relatively early anyway. I think the maintenance was completed in a few days too. However, what was exceptional was the fact that later that Sunday evening, we received a phone call from reception, asking us if everything was ok and if we were still happy to stay in that room or be moved to another. This is exceptional service!
Service The service at this hotel is truly out of this world. We have been to a lot of hotels around the world and we have never experienced anything like this. The staff cannot do enough for you. Restaurant service including breakfast is quick, efficient and friendly. And sometimes it is the little things that count. For example, whilst we were packing up to leave the beach area one day, a staff member came and got our used towels for us, took them to the towel exchange, and brought us back the 2 towel cards so we didn’t have to do it. These are the things that stay in your memory, and set this hotel apart from others. There is fantastic drinks service on the beach and around the pool. However, sometimes I walked to the chill-out bar to get some drinks myself. When I was there, quite often the waiters insisted they would bring the drinks back to me. Or, walk with me back to the sun lounger. Truly incredible service and very rare to see that these days. Our main sun lounger drink-server was Walid. Very very nice guy. Every staff member is funny, welcoming and friendly. They really appreciate it if you speak some Arabic with them too.
Hotel & Food As soon as you arrive, the hotel has a really relaxed, welcoming vibe which continues throughout your whole stay. This hotel is a place for relaxation. There are some pool activities during the day, and evening entertainment, but quite minimal really. We never encountered any drunk people at all which is very refreshing!
The gardens are immaculate. The grass is cut every other day. If you holiday here, take a look at all the greenery and flowers and how well maintained it is. It is easy to take it for granted but these gardeners work so hard.
The food is excellent here and there is so much choice. The buffet restaurant also has a bbq every night outside serving chicken, prawns, beef liver, etc. Breakfast has the best pastries ever! If you have a sweet tooth you will love the pastries and cakes and desserts. There are 2 a la cartes – one oriental and the other mediterranean. Both highly recommended. It might have been the month we went (May) but we had no trouble getting a table in either. In fact, our reservations were just made by passing staff members for us! No need to even go the main desk area to book these! Fantastic service. Special mention has to go to Hani George, restaurant manager. He takes his time to visit literally every table to see how they are and he really cares passionately about his job and his staff. And it is so clear to see.
The one negative in all my stay is the wine. I am not a big drinker at all, but I do like a nice red with an evening meal. I paid for a bottle too thinking it may be better but it really wasn’t. Next time, I would take a couple of bottles from duty free in the UK (I think you can take in 1L per person). The beer was nice and some of the cocktails were ok too. You can purchase premium spirits I think but I don’t really drink these so I didn’t bother. It can’t be bad if my only negative (and a very minor one) of the whole holiday is that the wine wasn’t good!
Snorkelling AMAZING. Thousands of fish. Spent a great deal of time in the water. Tip – go off the jetty by La Scogliera restaurant. Much better coral and quantity of fish. Saw groupers, eagle ray, giant trevallies, sting rays, loads of parrotfish, lovely little wrasse that liked to bump the Go Pro lens, huge pipefish, bird wrasse, Picasso fish, loads of different angel fish, pufferfish, tangs, trigger fish. There are so many fish you literally don’t know where to look. You don’t even really need to go snorkelling either. You could just pop your head in and look under the jetty and you will see huge shoals. Very lucky to see the spotted eagle ray in the shallows one day. The lifeguard said that doesn’t happen that often. We did miss the turtle in the shallows though. Huge compliments to Gergas the lifeguard on that jetty. He was super helpful, enthusiastic, and safety-orientated. We felt like we had made a friend!
Overall this was a perfect holiday, with a large part of that as a result of the exceptional service and staff.
I had an amazing stay at Stella Di Mare. The service was truly outstanding from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The staff were always welcoming, professional, and genuinely cared about making our stay comfortable.
The hotel is very clean, well-maintained, and the quality of everything exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious with a great variety every day, offering something for everyone. We were really impressed by the attention to detail and the high level of hospitality.
I would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Mina Tawfik, David, Zaher, Mahmoud, Michael, kirolos, beshoy ,Milad at the pool, and Girgis, Mohamed and salah at the Lobby Bar. They were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and always made us feel welcome. Their kindness and excellent service made our vacation even more enjoyable.
Thank you to the entire Stella Di Mare team for such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back again!
My Second Home for 12 Perfect Days
This was hands down the best 12 days of my life. This 5-star beachfront hotel truly felt like my second home.
The rooms were spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the sea view was absolutely spectacular. The food was delicious with so much variety.
A huge thanks to Mr. Muller and Mr. Hamdi ,and I won't to thanks Chef Mohamed Mabrouk, the very kind barman Emad, and to the entire reception team , housekeeping and lifeguards for their outstanding service and care.
Thank you Stella Di Mare – as always, you are exceptional. Can’t wait to be back!
First time to this hotel and there is nothing to complain about. Food great, pools clean and plenty of sun beds. Great swim-up bar in the adults pool. The decor is mostly dark wood, but it feels like you could be on cruise ship, with the glass lifts and marble. We stayed in a villa with a great sea view, again dark wood furniture but it was clean and tidy. Brits are very much the minority at this hotel, but the staff speak good English. It’s incredible the amount of different languages the staff master. Mostly we want to thank the staff who were so friendly and helpful. The adult pool bar squad Beshoy, Abdul, and Nabil always ready with our drinks. Melad the manager of the Asian restaurant super polite and made our experience at the restaurant special. Loved our evenings eating outside listening to the entertainment, we were always found the best table. A huge thank you to the restaurant team lead by Mina, along with Mohammed who knew and remembered our names from day one. Plus a special thank you to Waled and Ahmed who brought my partner freshly squeezed lemon juice every morning along with the fab cappuccino’s. There are just too many names to remember so thank you to all the waiters. We had a great time. See you all again Mr Dave and Suzanne
Marvelous hotel with outstanding staff in all departments. We loved the friendly helpful attitude experienced by us during our stay. Nothing to much trouble from changing to a better room soon after arriving in the dark to the outstanding hospitality given in the La Terrazzo buffet restaurant by Mustafa Shokpy and manager Milad in the atmospheric Asian restaurant. Our third floor room number 324 was sizable with it's sea and pool facing the sun most of the day. Kaleem our room cleaner looked after our every need who was also an expert in towel sculpture surprising us every day with his creations. We were lucky with our quiet room looking down on the evening entertainment stage by the the main pool. Going back to the buffet restaurant with a huge variety of choice with a particular menu theme every day would go out of there way to bring me my favourite blue cheese. The local Stella beer and wine were very palatable with a huge variety of soft drinks and bottled water in restaurant and room. The hotel was very clean with a very well stocked garden around the large grounds and paths to beach areas looked after very well by the pool and ground staff. The reception and outside bars including the swim up provided a variety of cocktails. The evening entertainment consisted of the hotels talented dance group performing wearing incredible costumes with the occasional appearance of a belly dancer who also appeared in the hotels night club. The year 2014 was our last holiday in Sharm so coming back showed us the great expansion of the holiday city in South Sinia. Walking can be tiring for older people in the heat, plenty of taxis are available at negotiable price. All in all we enjoyed our two week stay at the Stella by Naama Bay looking forwards to returning when we have direct flights from Edinburgh coming in November 2026.
