Solymar Naama Bay

On arrival we were upgraded to superior room we thought this was really lucky but on getting inside we wondered how basic a standard room could be.as it’s very basic hard beds ,old tv with one channel big heavy wood shutters and doors unbelievably dated bathroom but everything worked. pool area was fab all day special mention to pool man/ lifeguard and our favourite staff member akhmed raglan who made our holiday we can’t thank him enough we always got a bed he was always friendly always had a smile even when people won’t wear shoes around the pool.the pool area is treacherous those tiles when wet are like an ice rink akhmed tries to keep on top of it but strangely people don’t listen and people are rude and ignorant to him when he tries to warn them.we saw people fall and people slip constantly they need something done about that it’s impossible to keep on top of … entertainment was fun memo Alicia roe and alina all wonderful people great at there jobs made our days fun..Mohammed at pool bar another outstanding staff member .even though we found this hotel much below what we were expecting the staff are excellent and he always had a smile was always checking if we wanted anything . The food is poor and caters to the Russians I think .unappetising foods not any things you’d expect we both got sickness and upset stomachs while here so did some guests so we stopped eating the food apart from The bread rolls which we actually really liked ..restaurant manager emad salar was great he came over to us every day as he knew we’d been unwell asking if we needed anything or if he could help in any way last mention Ibraham the waiter such sunny happy personality always ready to help.. Our room overlooked where everyone goes to pray it was probably better than overlooking pool it was quiet. Overall from reviews and EasyJet site this hotel was not what we were expecting and it’s def not 4.5-5 star.but the staff drive its score up make it enjoyable. Surrounding area wasn’t for us we caught bus to beach but didn’t enjoy it so came back within the hour it smelt of sewage and we’d been too poorly to ignore that.so many sunbeds crammed into small space wasn’t for us even though others seemed to enjoy it. Nightly entertainment we went on organised trip to karaoke at hard rock was great night cheap and fun.other than that the bar is a dingy room upstairs and doesn’t make you feel like your enjoying a holiday experience..in a week they had same juggler/hulahoop/magician act at least twice that we saw and that’s away from bar area and someone stands with some jugs if anyone wants a drink …very disappointing.this hotel needs complete revamp and maybe animation shows in evening thefab animation staff are a credit to the hotel snd they are wasted why are you getting crappy bored entertainers in when your animation staff are fantastic seems like they’re not using them as they should!!!! we’d have liked to stay in hotel in evening as we didn’t like the area much,all in all we go home having had a disappointing holiday but will remember the staff,.

It is a special hotel for me—a place where I’ve gathered wonderful memories, received excellent service, and felt I was in a high-quality environment.
