A nice hotel for pleasant stay.

Great hotel with a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and a convenient location. Beautiful sea with an easy entrance, coral reefs, and lots of fish. The food is tasty, but the choice is a bit limited. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and nice, although the furniture is quite old. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Not a 5 stars hotel. Ugly and stinky room poorly maintained

Just checked in today 1st September. The hotel room is simply horrible: it smells like cat wee making impossible to breathe, the sink is broken so that the water doesn't flow down. The tiles under your feet are cracking (as they are poor and broken). The bathroom is old style with mold on the sides of the shower everything in the room is in super poor condition, found many lady hairs in the shower and on the floor, not mine as I am bold. Room soundproofing doesn't exist: feeling like I have my neighbours in my room.

At the check in I've been told I would have assigned a very nice room! I can't imagine how a bad room here is. I asked to the reception a room change but they only offered me a very far away room (they neither showed me, they probably didn't want to) and this is not acceptable!

No plugs for devices. I had to unplug the tv for using the plug.

I would like to change hotel right now! This is not a 5 stars hotel in naama bay not neither close to the Accor standards. Damn the day I reserved it (can't understand the high rate of this hotel in trip advisor). (I'm on the 'mountain side')

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! Worse experience ever! Holiday ruined from the first day!

Would the general manager / guest relations take contact as soon as possible. R.n. 680

Amazing hospitality and great vibes

The location is excellent, with easy access to a beautiful beach and lovely grounds to walk around. The room was clean and comfortable, and having great Wi-Fi both in the room and across the entire territory was a huge plus. The restaurant service was consistently good, with a special mention to the chef who prepares breakfast and is always exceptionally polite and friendly. The only area that could use some improvement is the animation team, as the entertainment was a bit lacking and could definitely be more lively. However, the hospitality of the main staff more than made up for it. Everything in this hotel is genuinely designed for guest comfort, so you never have to worry about missing amenities in your room or on the beach—you can truly just relax and enjoy your vacation. We were especially impressed from Guest Relations team, who is always greets everyone with a smile.

Nice rooms and pool, but this does not feel like All Inclusive

We stayed at Naama Bay Promenade Beach Resort for 14 nights as a couple. Unfortunately, we would not return. The room and pool area are the main reasons I am giving the hotel 2/5 rather than 1/5.

Starting with the positives: our room was large, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the AC worked well. The hotel generally felt modern and was kept reasonably clean. Our terrace view was quite disappointing, though, and the small freezer compartment in our fridge was so badly iced over that the door could barely close.

The pool itself was large and we never struggled to find a sunbed, which was great. However, the advertised pool bar was basically useless during our stay. The bar was physically there, but we almost never saw anyone actually serving there.

The food was below average. It became extremely repetitive over two weeks and much of it had the same unpleasant taste. We wondered whether it could have been the oil used for cooking, because the same strange flavour appeared in many different dishes. We ended up eating at McDonald’s several times during a 14-night All Inclusive holiday, which says quite a lot. I also had stomach problems for the last six days of the holiday, although of course I cannot say whether the hotel food was responsible.

The biggest disappointment, however, was the drinks and the whole concept of “All Inclusive.”

The spirits were genuinely some of the worst we have ever tasted. Different types of alcohol somehow tasted almost identical, with an extremely harsh, chemical taste. As a result, we barely drank alcohol at the hotel at all. The beer was actually decent, but unfortunately it was warm most of the time.

The All Inclusive rules were also strangely restrictive and poorly explained. For example, you couldn’t simply get an included beer by the pool. We were told that drinks from the beach bar could not be brought to the pool, yet on other occasions staff served drinks there. We tried ordering drinks to the pool a couple of times and they simply never arrived. It was difficult to understand what was included, where you were allowed to drink it, and what the actual rules were.

The most surprising example was water. After 22:00, bottled water was no longer included and we had to pay for it. Charging All Inclusive guests for drinking water at night, especially in a hot country like Egypt, is something I find very difficult to understand.

The service staff themselves were generally friendly, particularly the people working at the beach bar. Communication could sometimes be difficult because the level of English varied considerably, but the staff were pleasant.

Unfortunately, the salespeople from De La Rose Spa were the complete opposite. They were extremely pushy and repeatedly approached us about massages, hair treatments, pedicures and other services. Saying no often wasn’t enough, and at times they almost seemed annoyed that we weren’t interested. It became irritating rather than simply being someone offering a service.

The beach was good, although nothing particularly memorable. The location is also decent – around an eight-minute walk to the busier part of Naama Bay.

Entertainment was another major disappointment. During our second week, large groups of guests would play their own music loudly around the hotel, sometimes with two different speakers blasting different music at the same time, without anyone seeming to intervene. The hotel’s own entertainment was extremely poor and attracted very few people. Compared with the atmosphere and entertainment we could see at other hotels along the promenade, the difference was almost embarrassing.

It also makes very little sense to close the All Inclusive bar at 22:00 when the hotel’s evening activities continue until around 23:30. We spent only ONE of our 14 evenings sitting at the beach bar, which probably says everything about the evening atmosphere.

Wi-Fi was free and worked reasonably well, although it was inconsistent. Cleanliness was generally good, but some of the public toilets could have been much cleaner. Another thing worth mentioning is the huge number of stairs throughout the property, which could make this hotel difficult for wheelchair users or families with strollers.

We paid approximately €2500 for the trip and, for us, it simply wasn’t worth it. I would genuinely rather have paid more for a hotel where we actually wanted to spend our evenings.

The frustrating thing is that the hotel has potential. The rooms are nice, the pool is good, the location is decent and most of the staff are friendly. But an All Inclusive resort needs to get the basics right.

Improve the food, serve cold beer and drinkable spirits, make water available around the clock, clearly explain what All Inclusive actually includes, improve the entertainment and stop making guests navigate confusing rules about where they can get a drink.

With those changes, this could be a much better hotel. As it was during our stay, we would not return.
