Jaz Fanara Resort and Residence

I specifically chose the Fanara for having the best reef in Sharm, and we weren’t disappointed. Once you get past the drop off it’s stunning. World class - I’ve dived Sharm too and this was excellent.

My sadness was the number of muppets standing on the coral. The hotel need to do more to address that - blowing a whistle once they’ve done it is too late.

Otherwise this trip was amazing and the hotel enough for a week without going out all the time. We did a day out on a boat with the on site dive centre and that was fantastic too.

Animations can be irritating at times, but this team weren’t. They were great at getting the balance right, and I loved their routine together each evening. My teenage daughters absolutely loved the pool party - and I loved watching the fun. Really was a fab night - well done to the man in the sunglasses for the routines he did!

This is a lovely hotel. Younis kept our room spotless and was there waiting with fresh beach towels every evening, and his towel art got more spectacular as the week went on!

Restaurant staff take great pride, especially the chef who will go out of his way to help and keeps a firm eye on proceedings. Staff eat the food too, and I saw zero evidence of poor hygiene as other reviewers have claimed (those left me a bit worried pre trip but it was absolutely fine).

All in all one of my favourite holidays and the reef was just magical.

Good location with private beach, very good spot for snorkelling. Staff was friendly and attentive. We totally recommend this resort !
