Dive Inn Resort

We had a great holiday with good sun, yummy food. And friendly faces. A special mention to to Sian the tour rep who made our trip extra special. If you stay you must use the #super talented hairdresser who has a gift for stylesxzu, ,zzz7.

My family and I stayed at the Dive Inn Resort between 19th August and 3rd September 2026. We are a family of 4, with 2 children under the age of 10.

Before I begin please note that this hotel is, at the absolute very highest rating it could be conceivably and honestly be given, a 3-star hotel. I say that with the upmost kindness. There is no way on this planet that the hotel can be considered at a rating above that.

Location: The hotel is in a good location a short taxi ride away from the beaches, Old Market and Naama Bay nightlife.

Taxi: If you are considering using a taxi service, please use Ibrahim outside the Hotel +20 10 08920182. His service is excellent and he is an absolute gentleman. Please avoid the local green and white taxis.

Rooms and Cleanliness: As per other reviews, our room was dated and in need of a thorough clean and upgrade. They are tired and in need of TLC. The standard rooms are tiny, so please consider upgrading to larger rooms if you can.

Food: This was the worst part of the holiday. The buffet food is poor, the choice is poor, and the service is poor. With the exception of a few small glasses and tea cups during breakfast, all drinks were served in small plastic cups.

Snack Bar: If there was one we didn't find it during our two week holiday. Ice cream only available as part of the lunchtime buffet.

The only silver lining on the food, because it was so bad, my family and I visited local places outside the hotel to eat. I am so glad we did because we found absolute gems like:

The Safety Stop: approx. 250m from the hotel. Ignore the unassuming appearance from the street this place is an absolute gem. The service is great and the food is amazing and so tasty.

Tejano's Grill House: approx. 500m from the hotel. Well worth a visit for the burgers and steaks alone. Very good.

Onions: Located in Old Market so you will need a taxi. Great menu and service.

Moulin Rouge: Adjoining the hotel. Great menu, great food and amazing service. Although adjoined to the hotel this is not part of the all-inclusive. Ask for Jamie - he will look after you.

Pool: The Dive Inn Resort pool is fantastic. Never too busy, never overcrowded and we were always able to find sunbeds without having to get up early to reserve them. Sayeed (the lifeguard) is a great guy and looked after us and the kids during our stay. The Hotel should be really proud of him as he is a star.

Entertainment: The team are great, not pushy, although the activities are repetitive. The evening entertainment consists of belly dancing, karaoke/musical quiz, snake charming, magician, fire eater/fire show, Kid's disco - all repeat into the next week, and all bang average.

Late Checkout: We were charged £25 to extend our checkout from 12noon to 6pm. We had to barter this down from £50. Others had to barter down from £70 - all had to be paid in cash. No card payment and no receipts.

Beaches: The hotel provides free bus ride to two local beaches. We didn't make use of this amenity but, instead, we took a short taxi ride to El Fanar Beach. There is a private section of the beach that we paid 250LE per person (about £15) to hire 4 sunbeds for the day. The food there is great and the snorkeling / diving is excellent - well worth a visit.

Trips: We undertook two trips during our stay:

The Dolphina dolphin show a short taxi ride from the hotel. Good show and lasts around an hour.

Sharm El Sheikh: ATV Quad Bike Desert Safari Adventure. We booked this through the GetYourGuide app and was a little over £40 for the whole family. This was an excellent trip and well worth the money. They collect you and return you to the hotel.

In Summary: This hotel is perfect if you are using it simply as a place to sleep and get ready whilst you eat and undertake activities elsewhere during the day / night.

If you are expecting a high standard of all-inclusive experience then the Dive Inn Resort is not for you - best to avoid and look elsewhere.

Very friendly staff. I would especially like to highlight Sian from their entertainment team; she is very pleasant, sweet, and cheerful. I particularly enjoyed the relaxing yoga classes. Unfortunately, the beach requires an entrance fee, but the hotel's pool area is fine.
