I’ll come back

This really good hotel and good stuff they’re really friendly and the entertainment they’re really wonderful

TripAdvisor Review
Ok but not great

We have just arrived back from a family holiday at the Coral Hills resort. When we arrived we had the worry of the hotel not being able to find our booking. Tried to connect to the wifi in hotel to find my booking reference but just don't bother. It's so slow and will not load anything. Had to buy an esim just to get online. Eventually after about 20 minutes of worry they managed to find our booking and checked us in.

The location of the hotel was pretty good. Only a maxiumun of 20 minutes by taxi to all the main attractions in sharm.

The atmosphere in the hotel was pretty good, nice and relaxed although often spoilt by rude guests.

The rooms were ok, cleaned daily although pretty dated. Plug sockets moving and one didn't work. Lights didn't work on the main switch and the air-conditioning was pretty loud and hit and miss.

Overall I was pretty disappointed with the hotel. The pool area is nice but very run down. Tiles broken, grate falling apart. Open sharp screws sticking out of pool filter. ( my wife found this out when she cut her foot open on it). The staff were friendly and attentive but most staff in restaurant seemed to attend to the highest tippers. Shout out to the pool attendant (sorry didnt get a name) who prepared our towels every day and made sure we kept our sun beds. Your English wasnt the best but you tried every day and gave a top service.

Entertainment staff were very good, trying to get everyone involved. Evening entertainment was good on some days others were hit and miss.

Now for the food. The breakfast was awful. Only highlight was the omelette station. Apart from that was an assortment of stale croissants, pastries which were pretty nice. Couscous scrambled eggs tiny beef and chicken sausages mash potato. Plus the usual cheeses. The toaster didn't work, yes it heated up but roller was broken so had to risk putting the bread in using a set of tongs. Breakfast tea and coffee provided and juice. For lunch and dinner only drinks in dinner hall were juice and water. If you wanted anything else you had to use the bar next to reception. Again lucky if you got a glass.

Lunch and dinner were ok, some food not very hot especially food like lasagne. Pasta was good as was meet from the bbq. But did get pretty repetitive which is to expected after 2 weeks.

Snacks which I would expect from and all inclusive didn't exists. Not snacks what so ever. Disappointing when you have a 10 year old who is always hungry.

The drinks in the hotel were awful. The glasses were tiny (if they had any left) constantly ran out of glasses so were given horrible plastic cups. Somedays the glasses didn't seem very clean. Also because they use bottles of drink for coke and sprite etc it was hit and miss if they were cold or warm and flat. The beer was ok but again because they use 1 bottle for a few sometimes it was warm and flat. Don't even bother with the spirits they they were horrible.

One very disappointing thing was when we checked out at 12 they couldn't wait to cut our all inclusive rist band off. Once cut off although they let us have lunch wouldn't let us have any drinks. Now I wouldn't mind if we had arrived early on day 1. However we didn't arrive until 1030pm so missed the whole day of all inclusive. So we was left waiting until our pick up and 5.45pm having to buy our drinks at the bar.

We had a good holiday overall. Made better by some off the staff in the hotel. Luca in the shop so friendly and welcoming. Always looked after my son who went in daily to buy snacks. Also the taxi company based in the hotel were amazing. So easy to book and easy to get a return.

Would I return to this hotel. Probably not I would look to pay a little money for a better quality of hotel.

Not great at all sadly. WAY too expensive for what little you get by far in all aspects…

I don’t really know where to begin in this 2 week stay unfortunately.

The entertainment staff (The young boy and young woman) were amazing. There was also a young chef who was very kind; along with the overnight receptionist. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff were useless, spoke little to no english - and the managers especially the bald one who speaks no english at all was very horrible to his young staff members throughout our 2 week stay.

Drinks: The alcohol may aswell be ethanol, it tastes horrific and the range of drinks is really bad. All glasses and plastic cups are washed with their tap water & nothing else, no soap or hot water - These dirty glasses could have been sat around the pool with flies or ants on them for hours and all they get is a quick rinse and their hands digging to the bottom of the glass for a few seconds each. The hygiene is terrible, all of the men despite me being there may aswell have been drooling as soon as they see a woman walking next to me with even just her shoulders out.

All 7 of us got very ill this holiday atleast once and I never get ill which says a lot.

The food: Breakfast - We stopped going to completely, they have stale croissants, mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables if that helps 🤣 They have basically only dinner time stuff, the breakfast range is absolutely horrific. They do sometimes do omelettes out in the grill area which was the only decent thing but isn’t always done. No fruit etc is on show ever which is a shame we watermelon on holiday is amazing.

Lunch - Everyday it’s the same stuff, rice, pasta, a rotation of soups, vegetables that don’t taste fantastic, and they sometimes have chicken nuggets or liver outside in the grille area which- The liver was grim and nuggets were heavily pasturized to cut costs.

Dinner - The exact same as lunch - but they do things like crab, kebab, pasta, fruits like watermelon, melon. They did pancakes once a week! 🤣 You’d think it would be at breakfast but no!!

Pools: The quiet pool - It was very run down, all lights falling on the walls, a quarter of the tiles missing at the shallow end, we also witnessed a huge amount of people actually fall through the plastic drainage that runs along the poolside from where it snaps and gives way. They put WAYY too much chlorine in the pools; so much so that pink, white, blue etc all loose their colour. If you open you bare eyes underwater they will sting like crazy most days.

Busy entertainment pool - This pool was nice, warmer as it’s in the sun the entire day, has lots of activities going on and much less run down, but still just WAY too much chlorine.

Entertainment - The young mixed man and young mixed woman are superb, they speak very good english and are the reason the holiday spirit was lifted up massively. The guy on the microphone was extremely unenthusiastic, he also came over to us multiple times speaking like he was drunk and being a total creep. We ended up just ignoring him every-time he came over until he went away to pester other people.

Rooms: The rooms were very outdated, silicone peeling, shower heads are useless, the beds are creaky and old. When the cleaners mop the floor also they leave it soaking so by the time we come back from lunch etc the place is a slippy mess again. The towels are cleaned properly and sheets are changed each time. They made swans out of towels only when I tipped once, I then tipped again 2 times but got nothing so stopped tipping completely. The cleaning man on my block was very nice though and spoke decent english. I also know people have had issues with the aircon in the past. Luckily we didn’t until the last day - Where I woke up to the ceiling almost caving in from it leaking EVERYWHERE!! I’m glad I was checking out the same morning so it wasn’t my issue 🤣

Location: It is very close to Naama bay, the airport, Old market, soho square etc. It is a 5 minute walk from a small market and a group of nice shops which is a bonus. It’s a small place though so I imagine every hotel is like this, so nothing special.

Okay

My personal experience here was okay, I enjoyed my time, but I wouldn’t stay here again. My reasoning is because the food is awful! They don’t have a very good verity. I missed breakfast most days here as they didn’t have many breakfast foods. E.g mash potatoes, cuscus, rice for breakfast. They had some pastry’s which in my opinion was not very nice!

Lunch and dinner was much better than breakfast although i still don’t think they had great variety.

There was one occasion when I went to the bar for a drink, there was a glass on the bar that wasn’t mine someone had left there, they then took that glass didn’t clean it out and just filled it up and gave me the drink I wanted.

The day we went home, they took our wristbands off which meant we wasn’t able to get all inclusive drinks even though we had payed for the all inclusive for the last day.

Other than all of that! I would say the pool area is lovely! The entertainment team are great! Especially if you bring children here! They will make sure your children are involved in mini discos which happen every night around the pool! Entertainment in the day was good.
