Leaving a review for this years holiday and noticed i never saved last years holiday review. We had a week here in the summer. The hotel was lovely. It’s very big which makes it fell less crowded. We had two rooms which were large and very comfy. Couldn’t fault the rooms. There is a small little shuttle bus that ran around the site if you didn’t feel like walking. Two pools, the main is busier and for families. The smaller is for adults where we spent out time. Normally at the pool by 9 so no issues getting a subbed at the time. Drinks brought to sun bed by staff who were all very helpful. The main pool was busier and had to be early. Could use a few more umbrella’s. Sorry to say we didn’t to down to the beech. Food was good, dinner was pretty much repeated but fair selection to pick from. We pretty much chilled for a week which was our plan. Shops on site but expensive. Small water park which was fun and no long waits. We had a nice holiday and worth a visit. Staff very keen to help worth a small tip now and then.

Fantastic reef, but proceed with caution at the spa

We stayed a week with our two teenagers and had a genuinely lovely family holiday, though a few issues brought our rating down.

The house reef is the standout feature — incredible snorkelling right from the beach with brilliant marine life. The gardens are beautiful and well-kept, there are great pools and water slides, and golf carts make getting around easy in the heat. The buffet had plenty of choice, staff were friendly and helpful, and rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily.

That said, the rooms themselves are clean but dated and overdue a refurb. The cocktail offering was underwhelming for an all-inclusive — no frozen cocktails, drinks served in small plastic cups. Our biggest disappointment was the spa: our teenage daughter's haircut went badly wrong, and we had to step in and ask them to stop as it was clear they were making a mess of it. She was left with an uneven, horrendous cut, and it became clear they didn't actually have a qualified hairdresser on staff, despite pushing the service hard. In general, spa staff were constantly approaching guests to sell treatments, which combined with this incident made the whole spa feel more like a sales operation than a luxury experience. They apologised, waived the charge, and offered to bring in an external "professional" to fix it, but by that point we'd lost all faith and didn't want to risk it again — especially knowing the staff were aware all along that the original hairdresser wasn't qualified. It was only after we raised this with our TUI representative that management agreed to cover the taxi so we could sort it ourselves in town — the spa itself didn't contribute to the cost of correcting it. We also had a confusing mix-up over billiards charges — not about the money, just the lack of clarity, and how it was handled when raised.

We loved the reef, grounds, pools and staff, but the dated rooms and a couple of service missteps held us back from a higher rating. With some investment, this resort has real potential to be a fantastic family destination.

Highly recommended if you are a diver

The staff is very attentive, professional and always friendly and smiling. From the 5 Restaurants, the Sunset court did stand out, excellent food, very nice staff and we really felt comfortable eating there. The “Al Dente” despite the very kind staff their food is not good, does not even remotely taste like Italian at all. The room service was extraordinarily professional, clean, efficient and always friendly. The resort is beautifully located and the resort with the different pools is also wonderfully presented. The only striking thing is that as non russian or italian speaking guest, we had sometimes a hard time to make ourselves understand in english.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Unforgettable holiday — made perfect by the team!

We’ve just come back from an amazing stay at Reef Oasis Blue Bay, and while the resort itself is beautiful — the real highlight was the people who work here. They genuinely went above and beyond and made our trip so special.

Mustafa — working at the bars in the evenings — was fantastic, always looking out for us and making sure we had exactly what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble!

Sayeed at the Water sports centre was the most welcoming guy ever. He helped us book the most incredible dolphin-spotting speedboat trip — easily one of the best days of our holiday! The customer service was absolutely out of this world. He even waited for us to get back at 7pm at night to check we had a good time.

Essam down at the leisure pool was brilliant — kept the drinks coming all day round the pool, even got us a special cup! Always smiling and checking everything was okay.

And Solomon — such a gentleman! He put our towels on our sunbeds for us every single day at the leisure pool, saved us great spots and made us feel so welcome.

The house reef is amazing for snorkelling and diving — we saw so much marine life, including a blue spotted ray right from the shore! The food was good, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the whole place has such a relaxed vibe.

Food in the buffet restaurant was also full of choice and even for the picky eaters in our party they always had something to eat. We ate at the Italian, Fish and Romantic restaurant a few times and it was always lovely food. Most of the menu is included on the all inclusive with a few dishes you can pay extra for. The service at these restaurants was excellent and the Italian staff made a real fussy of one of our party who had a birthday while we were there.

Location of the hotel was good. The transfer from the airport was only 15 minutes and was about 10 minutes in a taxi to Naeem Bay. The hotel can arrange a taxi for you and cost about 40 euros return for 8 of us.

But honestly — it’s the staff that make this place. Mustafa, Sayeed, Essam and Solomon — thank you! You made our holiday unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back. 💙 Anything else you want me to tweak before you post? 😊

One of the best places we’ve ever stayed!

Just returned from 2 weeks here and I can honestly say it’s one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. We’ve been lucky enough to take the family via TUI to many places, but I’ve never experienced customer service like I did here! I honestly will struggle to go anywhere else after this holiday. Thanks to everyone there for creating the best memories for my family.

Pros- Hotel rooms and grounds are spotlessly clean all the time. The Sunset Court food was exceptional. We ate there for breakfast and dinner most nights as it’s smaller and less crowded. TUI guests can go anytime without booking. The REEF!!! Insane level of fish and beautiful coral right on your doorstep. You can see them on the shoreline too if you’re not a great swimmer The trips-we did the speedboat/snorkelling trip, parasailing and a desert sunset trip. All were amazing. The pools-leisure pool was our favourite. Water slides, not too far from our room that we could walk there. Delicious burgers and salad for lunch. Loads of loungers and water slides for the kids. Clean towels daily. Lifeguards-very attentive to safety around the pools and slides. The Spa-extremely good value for money. We could take our tween children too so both of us could get a massage at the same time while they waited. Hair braiding went down well with them too. Shows-evening shows were especially good from the professional group from Cuba. Shops- there’s a ‘town square’ style area of shops to buy souvenirs. They don’t hassle at all, but be aware to really haggle your prices down, as they are very high!! Food and Drink-tonnes of choice. All of it hot, delicious and varied. Really good deserts. Hygiene- incredible levels of hygiene here. Every bowl of food is covered. The Leisure pool chef changed his gloves at least 12 times just making my daughters’ beef and chicken burgers alone! A lady knocked the serving spoons onto the floor and they were extremely reactive and replaced with new in seconds. Hand gel everywhere. Chefs reading food temperatures regularly. No one in our family came close to being ill. Staff- this is the standout for me. Exceptional levels of customer service, respect and care from everyone. Outstanding.

Look out for these guys especially. Solomon-pool manager Leisure pool. Runs a tight ship! Would save our loungers every morning for us. Noticed I moved mine to a more shady area so would do that without asking. So attentive and a great asset to the hotel. Karim -Leisure pool. Great customer service. A lovely boy who will always chat. Essam- Leisure pool waiter. Again, so very attentive to what drinks we liked. Would always bring them over, no expectation of a tip. Bought fruit over to the girls one day. Would give them their drinks while they were in the pool. A lovely man. Abdo - chef cooking burgers at the Leisure pool. Would have the girls orders waiting- again great customer service. Exceptional levels of hygiene. Rehan-Spa lady. Very friendly, funny, gets British humour, and does great deals for massages. Absolute value for money. Hassan at the watersports- standout great guy. Again brilliant customer service, sorted out our speed boat trip, checked in with us loads before and after. Talk to him about trips! He’s your guy! Syeed at watersports- great at booking the parasailing for us. Booked it so my youngest and husband could come along and watch too. Lovely friendly man. Waed -Sunset Court- Lovely, lovely man. Had our drinks waiting, always so respectful and friendly. Really great guy who was working very hard and made our breakfast and evening meals so enjoyable. Extremely attentive. Duaa-Sunset Court-a wonderful lady, she worked so hard and was so good with my girls (there’s not many women working in the food or pool areas so she really stood out) they loved her. Brilliant customer service and friendly and attentive. Mohammed ‘the Sandman’ - again, great customer service with my littlest. Showed her how he makes the sandart. She loved it! Rahid- lifeguard. I saw someone get into difficulty on the reef and he was great at rescuing her, and then advised others to get out as the current was too strong.

Cons- not Con, as such, just a few things that occurred to me. A map would be good to have on arrival. Plugs for charging devices near the beds would be helpful. The place is enormous and it is a long walk in very hot heat to the food area if your room is past the Arena. They do run golf buggies however. The evening entertainment doesn’t start until 9.45pm which can be late for some families. 80% of the guests are Eastern European or Italian. Not an issue, but there is lots of smoking. It is easy to avoid and clear nonsmoking tables.

Tips: Take beach shoes as the sand is quite sharp in places Take or hire flippers. Really helps with the snorkelling and conserving energy. The Bayview (main restaurant) is very busy and noisy. It sometimes felt like eating in an airport. If that’s not your thing the other places are much more peaceful and there’s loads to choose from. Ask the night before departure for a late checkout room. They go quickly. Make sure they re set your door key if you do have late checkout. It’s a long walk to get it re set. The seawater is much saltier than we’re used to. My daughter suffered a bit with stinging eyes. Take your own ibuprofen. It’s expensive at the pharmacy (around £26) , although my husband was offered antibiotics and/or viagra as well! Tip a lot. Staff wages can be low compared to the UK. American $ are the most useful for tipping. People can exchange them easily at the bank. £1 coins are ok but staff can’t exchange them. We ended exchanging 20 x £1 coins for a note one day. The staff don’t expect tips. They don't make tipping uncomfortable at all. The staff work incredibly hard in hot conditions to make our holiday the best, and are humble, sincere and grateful for any tip. They go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. Trips- the guides on the desert trip will expect a tip. Especially the camel Bedouin. The water trips not so much. You don’t really need to do the snorkelling trip as the reef is so good. But we did get to see clown fish and rays which we wouldn’t have seen at the hotel. I have a feeling we’ll be back next year! :)
