Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort and Spa

First time in Egypt so obviously first time at the ROBB , would like to think this is an honest review in my opinion only The hotel is massive and depending on where your room is there are bus stops scattered all over the complex to take you to the main area . Our check in was smooth by the friendly reception staff and then met a guide in the piano bar to tell us about the hotel and facilities which I think is a standard procedure. Then a buggy to take us to our room this is where we realised the lack of lifts throughout the complex , we were in a second floor room going up 2 sets of stairs , manageable but wife just recovering from broken ankle so not ideal . Maybe our fault for not requesting a ground floor room Next day walked to the main enfinity pool about a 10 minute walk from our room , this is where we spent most of our time with excellent staff from life guards to the waiters fetching drinks to your sunbed plus with views over looking the red sea - perfect The pools are a plenty and all huge where there are snack bars serving usual snacks and beverages alcoholic and non . There is also a mini water park with 3 slides again with a snack bar to suit. The main restaurant serves all kinds of food and deserts to suit all of the nationalities on site but you will never go hungry , pizzas , different kinds of pastas with sauces , a carvery where the meat is beautiful from lamb , beef chicken and fish, salads , you must be very picky not to find something not to suit your pallet. But as per any main restaurant it can get busy at peak times but the waiters will always find you a table . Bars include the panorama bar again over looking the red sea, especially cool to go to at sunset , the piano bar ( although no one tinkling the ivories while we were there ) but nice just to chill . Then theres the pub showing all football and other sports open 24 7 you can grab pub snacks including fish and chips , toasties , burgers , etc etc handy if you want to go out and fancy a bite on return . Had the Italian al a carte twice and was very tasty again the steak was to die for. There is the Sunset bay restaurant serving Asian cuisine from chinese to currys again very tasty . There is one lift through out the whole place and this is to the beach where again there is the sunset view restaurant ( I think thats what it was called ) The staff all work their socks off to make your holiday and we didnt feel the need to tip for this service although we did as they appreciate this more than you ll know The 2 girls at the customer service in reception will help you with any queries or requests it was our 30th wedding anniversary while there and they organised a cake in the Italian also our room decorated . The management were always walking round asking if everything was ok and asking if theres anything you need . Went in to Nama Bay traditional Egyptian culture and in some instances prepare to be shocked by some of the sights . Soho Square is beautiful and a lot more calmer than NB well with a visit . Overall we had the most chilled relaxed holiday for quite a while , with perfect weather thrown in , So big shout out to all the staff especially guys in the pub , and the life guards round the enfinity pool .

Thanks to the divemaster Zakaria for his professionalism! He conducted the briefing and gave a detailed explanation about diving, the fish, and the specifics of the dive! Diving with him was easy and comfortable!

Love this hotel! Staff are wonderful! Food is wonderful! Spent all my time by the Relax (adults only) pool, which was perfect for me. Gym is good with nice selection of cardio and free weights as well as machines. The little shops on site are great with a handy one for drinks and snacks. Rooms seemed dated but great storage. Not many plug points so take an extension lead. Ask guest relations for anything you need, they will be more than willing to help.
