Cheeky week away

As a loyal RIU customer and no RIU in Sharm this hotel was very good , food , staff and room were very good , hotel probably slightly outdated needing a facelift but don’t be put off by this as the rooms were immaculate and tidy each day , wifi coverage could be better but overall nice cheeky week and would recommend it to anyone seeking to visit Sharm

Lovely stay

We have just returned from the Reef Oasis Blue Bay. Check in on arrival was very easy. The room was on the ground floor near the relax pool ( adults ).

Restaurants- We ate at the Sunset every morning and evening which was calm with only a limited amount of tables which was perfect and free for TUI guests. We only ate twice in the main buffet restaurant as it was absolute chaos so we avoided for the rest of our stay. Lunch we ate at the Sea View which was lovely. Staff in the Sunset & Sea view were very polite and worked hard. We only booked a reservation at the La Romantique ( French ) out of the 3 À la Carte restaurants and I have to say, the steak was absolutely delicious.

Pools - We stayed only at the Relax Pool for 2 weeks with it being an adult pool for 16+. It was very chilled and calming but the only issue I have is that parents tried to sneak their kids in with yellow bands on which is unfair as this is one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. Many times the parents were giving wrong room numbers out to the lifeguards when they were checking ages of the children, this is absolutely not acceptable as Amgad and Alaa ( lifeguards ) work tirelessly all day in excessive heat walking up and down the pool area keeping the pool area tidy for guests and collecting empty glasses and water bottles from the sunlounger tables. The hotel has 2 other pool areas for families, the infinity and the water park so please just take your kids there if they are under 16!!!! Thanks to Amgad, Alaa and Gahed ( bar waiter ) who always replenished our water and for the banter daily, you made our days better.

Entertainment - I have to be honest here, the evening entertainment was boring, and not a 5* standard, was mainly for children and other nationalities so we ended up going back to our room early most nights which is not good when your on holiday. I spoke to many other English guests in the fortnight we was there and everyone said the same about the entertainment.

Our mini fridge was not stocked up daily as you have to ask for this apparently? So we went to guest services to request this daily. But, again this did not happen so we went to the duty manager stating we had no coffee, creamer for hot drinks in the morning and our fridge had not been replenished so he then put it down to be done daily. Guess what, still was not being done so we gave up in the end.

We had a good time but the entertainment let it down. This is not a true 5* hotel either. I have stayed in many 5* hotels in Sharm and Hurghada and there was nothing grand or wow about the Reef Oasis which is sad but the staff were lovely.

My last issue was on the day we was leaving, we booked a TUI private transfer which was confirmed with the TUI rep also, but as we was about to leave the hotel the security would not let the driver into the grounds even though he dropped us off at the reception when we arrived 2 weeks earlier so we had to get a driver to take us up to the security gate on a golf buggy to get in our private transfer. Our room number was even given to security and still a no !! But we met so many lovely people from England and a Dutch family who had the best sense of humour.

Unfortunately we will not be returning mainly because it is not a 5* and management do let under 16 into the Relax Pool even though they know their ages.

Fantastic Holiday and a Fantastic hotel

Just back from our 4th trip to Reef Oasis Blue bay hotel. What can I say this hotel is absolutely fantastic and as returning guests they looked us brilliantly. Rooms are fabulous and the Adults only relax pool is a godsend. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room was cleaned every day by our cleaner Hamdy he’s fantastic. From Gehad the pool waiter who never stopped bringing us drinks to the waiters and mangers in the different restaurants who are all so helpful. Big shoutout to Ahmed who is the manager in the French and the fisherman restaurants who is just the best. Overall another wonderful holiday in paradise we will definitely be going back again next year

Exceeded Every Expectation – A Dad & Daughter Holiday We’ll Never Forget ⭐

Exceeded Every Expectation, A Dad & Daughter Holiday We’ll Never Forget

Egypt has become one of our favourite holiday destinations. We’ve enjoyed several fantastic holidays in Hurghada and this is now our second visit to Sharm El Sheikh, so we had a good benchmark before arriving. Travelling with my 14 year old daughter, we were hoping for another great break, but this resort has exceeded every expectation. From the warm welcome on arrival, to the incredible staff, facilities and experiences we’ve had so far, it’s been one of the best holidays we’ve shared together.

Before travelling I did what everyone does and read plenty of reviews. One comment that kept appearing was that the rooms were looking a little dated. Honestly, ignore that, our room has been one of the biggest and nicest standard rooms we’ve stayed in anywhere. The first thing that struck us was the height of the ceiling, it almost feels like you’re looking up two storeys. The room has a huge mirror, really comfortable beds, an enormous bathroom, loads of wardrobe space and a lovely balcony with great views. If this is what a standard room looks like, I’d love to see one of the upgraded rooms.

From the moment we stepped into reception, every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Nothing has ever seemed too much trouble and everyone greets you with a smile. The hotel is immaculately maintained, the gardens are beautiful and everywhere you look there is someone working hard to keep the resort looking its very best.

One thing worth mentioning is to bring plenty of £1 coins. We did, and it’s amazing how much the staff appreciate such a small gesture. They never expect it, but the smiles and gratitude you receive in return make it worthwhile. The service was already exceptional, but it was lovely getting to know some of the staff throughout the week.

One of our favourite discoveries has been the spa. We treated ourselves to a massage followed by time in the sauna and jacuzzi overlooking the Red Sea. Sitting there, looking out across the sea, completely relaxed, is something we’ll both remember for a long time. If you’re thinking about booking the spa, do it, it’s worth every penny.

A special thank you goes to Keshk, who looked after us from the moment we first enquired. He helped us choose the right treatments, sorted our booking and checked in with us throughout the week to make sure we were enjoying everything. It’s people like Keshk who really make this resort stand out.

Breakfast quickly became one of our favourite parts of the day. We’d usually head down to Sunset Court where the fresh omelettes, pastries, fruit and coffee set us up perfectly. There is plenty of choice and everything is fresh.

The main buffet restaurant is always busy in the evenings, which tells its own story. Despite that, we’ve been really impressed with the quality of the food. I’d actually go as far as saying the Chinese dishes are some of the best I’ve had, they even beat some of our Chinese takeaways back home. There has also been some really nice steak and chicken throughout the week.

We’ve not yet tried any of the à la carte restaurants as we’re saving those for later in the holiday. We’ve got the Italian booked and, judging by everything else we’ve eaten so far, we’re really looking forward to it.

Lunch around the leisure pool has been excellent too. Fresh burgers, chicken and chips, all cooked while you wait. The gentleman serving there works incredibly hard every day and nothing ever seems too much trouble. He always has a smile on his face and makes sure everyone leaves happy.

The drinks have also been really good. Personally, I found the beer in the main buffet restaurant a little too gassy for my liking, but everywhere else around the resort it has been spot on. We’ve also enjoyed working our way through the mocktail menu during the day. They’re refreshing, look great and are well worth trying.

As a huge F1 fan I thought I’d have to miss the race while we were away. Thankfully not, I discovered The Pub within the resort has six large screens showing live sport, so I managed to enjoy the Grand Prix with a cold drink. Another nice touch that just adds to the overall experience.

The pools are fantastic. We spent most of our time around the quieter leisure pool where it’s easy to completely relax, but we also made plenty of use of the waterslides. My daughter absolutely loved them. A special mention also goes to the towel attendant who always had a smile, remembered us every day and made everyone feel welcome.

Without doubt, one of the highlights of the holiday has been the dive centre and the amazing team there, especially Sayed. We booked a speedboat trip hoping to see dolphins and what followed is something we’ll never forget.

We found a pod of well over 50 wild dolphins swimming freely in the open sea, including what looked like a newborn calf. Watching them swimming alongside the boat in their natural environment was simply incredible. It wasn’t staged, it wasn’t an attraction, it was nature at its very best.

The trip didn’t stop there. We visited several amazing snorkelling spots with colourful coral reefs full of marine life before exploring a shipwreck beneath the crystal clear water. Our guide, Alex, was brilliant from start to finish, professional, knowledgeable and always making sure everyone felt safe whilst still having a fantastic experience.

We enjoyed the dive centre so much we’ve already booked night snorkelling, parasailing and water skiing before we head home. I think that says everything about how much confidence we have in the team.

As someone who has travelled extensively, including several Caribbean islands, I can honestly say this holiday ranks alongside some of the very best we’ve experienced. The combination of outstanding service, excellent facilities, beautiful surroundings and unforgettable excursions makes this a very special place.

Most importantly though, this holiday has given me something far more valuable. Time with my daughter, life gets busy and opportunities to simply switch off, laugh together, try new experiences and make memories become more important every year. Watching wild dolphins together in the Red Sea is something neither of us will ever forget.

We still have a few days left before flying home, but we already know one thing.

We’ll definitely be back.

Thank you to everyone who has made our stay so special. You’ve helped create memories that my daughter and I will treasure for many years to come.

Great hotel.

Stayed in the Reef Oasis Last week in June first week in July it was brilliant from start to finish. We arrived at near midnight and check in took a matter of minutes and we had something to eat and drink while our luggage was taken to our room. As I have mobility difficulties and use a mobility scouter the hotel was really user friendly and had no problems going to anywhere we wanted to go to in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and so helpful throughout our stay, nothing was a problem to them. The food was very good and there was a great variety at all the restaurants, especially The Italian, The Fish and The Romantic restaurants which you can use once a week we had no bother booking these for our evening meal. No problems with sun beds as there were plenty for everyone and the pool attendants and pool bar staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. The entertainment at night was good and there was three different venues to chose from, and the drink was ok also. The room was cleaned to perfection every day. This was one best hotels we have ever stayed in and would recommend to anyone, it is well worth its 5 star rating. A special thanks to Emma in customer relations nothing was to much bother to her many thanks for all your help. Would definitely return to this hotel in the future , many thanks to management and staff for a wonderful holiday.
