I didn’t expect to fall in love with this place ❤️
I didn’t expect to love this place this much.
I’m sitting here on my last days at Palm Royale, looking at the sea, and I honestly have that strange feeling you get when you know you are about to leave somewhere that made you genuinely happy.
I’ve stayed in many hotels and beautiful places before, so I’m not easily impressed. But something about Palm Royale got to me.
Maybe it’s the sea. Maybe it’s the incredible beach. Maybe it’s the warmth of the people. Maybe it’s the way the whole resort feels — peaceful, spacious and alive, without ever feeling overwhelming.
Or maybe it’s simply the fact that, for the first time in a long time, I completely switched off.
I woke up, went for a walk, had breakfast, spent time by the sea, watched the water, ate something delicious, walked around the resort… and somehow the days felt longer and slower in the best possible way.
There is something very special about waking up and realizing that you have absolutely nowhere you need to be.
The beach is beautiful, the water is warm and unbelievably inviting, and there are so many little places around the resort where you can just sit and enjoy the moment.
But the biggest surprise for me was the people.
The staff are genuinely lovely. Not just professionally polite — genuinely warm. You notice it in the little things, in the smiles, in the way they remember you, in the way they make you feel welcome without making you feel like a guest they have to impress.
And I think that is what makes a hotel memorable.
Not the marble. Not the furniture. Not how many pools it has.
It’s how you feel when you are there.
And I felt incredibly happy here.
There were moments when I caught myself thinking, I wish I could freeze this exact moment.
That probably says more than any list of facilities ever could.
Palm Royale gave me something I didn’t even realize I needed: a few days where my mind was quiet, my body was relaxed, and I was simply… happy.
And now I’m already sad about leaving.
That is the best compliment I can give a hotel.
I came here expecting a holiday.
I’m leaving with a piece of this place in my heart.
Thank you, Palm Royale. I truly hope I’ll see you again. ❤️

We had such a wonderful stay at Palm Royale Soma Bay! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The staff were absolutely fantastic — friendly, attentive and always happy to help. Their service really made our stay extra special.
The food was delicious, with plenty of variety and something for everyone. The facilities were excellent, the resort was beautiful and well maintained, and there was always something to enjoy.
Overall, we had an amazing time and truly enjoyed every part of our stay. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff at Palm Royale Soma Bay especially Abu Reslan, Chef Mootaz , Malak and Yousef for making our holiday so memorable. We would definitely love to come back! ❤️🌴☀️ Anna and Family

The place I love returning to, year after year
I have stayed at Palm Royale more than 20 times, and it genuinely feels like my second home. The resort is spacious and beautifully maintained, with immaculate gardens, a wonderful private beach and plenty of sunbeds. There is a main pool, a children’s pool and a quiet pool, so you can choose the atmosphere that suits you. The animation team runs friendly sports and exercise activities for anyone who wants to join in, and there is evening entertainment too.
The rooms are comfortable and a good size, kept clean and well cared for, with beautiful views from the balconies. The large buffet restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and caters for all tastes. For a special meal, the à la carte restaurants are delicious.
As lovely as the resort is, I go back for the people. Some of the staff have been welcoming me since my very first visit. Mena, Malak, Nashanti and Mousafa are among the wonderful people who make me feel so at home each time I return.
I want to give a special mention to Mr Kannan, who looks after your every need. He is unfailingly helpful, polite and professional, always smiling and, above all, so very kind. The care he gives feels personal, and I am truly grateful for everything he does.
The buildings, beach and gardens may be what first draw you to Palm Royale, but the people are what bring you back. The people of Egypt are special, and this hotel has the best of them. I already cannot wait to return next year.

Superb - but don't tell everyone!
Once again a wonderful stay at this hotel. The welcome on arrival is so friendly and welcoming from Hakim and his team. The rooms are immaculate, and were kept that way throughout our stay. Any special requests are dealt with efficiently and promptly. As we are big tea drinkers we asked for a bottle of fresh milk to be in our mini fridge. No problem at all, and it was replaced regularly for us without having to ask. The restaurants are exceptional, the 4 speciality restaurants in particular offer really tasty authentic meals. The asian restaurant run by Nishantha delivers really amazing indian and thai food - tastier than we get at home! The Lebanese restaurant has a very good choice of authentic dishes, and the Greek restaurant run by Mustafa has lovely delicious meals. If you don't fancy a full meal, just have a couple of starters - they really are lovely!! The buffet is also very good, with theme nights throughout the week. Mena and his team of bar staff are always smiling and happy to serve whatever you like, and the all inclusive drinks are delicious. We are not big drinkers, but the beer and cocktails were lovely! There are plenty of sun beds on the beach or by the pool if you prefer. The beach is lovely, with a gentle sandy slope into the sea which is really easy to get in and out of if you are a little unsteady on your feet. If you need any help, Mohammed and his team of lifeguards will help you.
There is different entertainment every night if you like to stay up which the animation team go above and beyond to supply. There are kids shows and evening activities too which I haven't seen before in an Egyptian hotel.
If you need any other help, Yasmine and the rest of the guest relations team sit in the reception area and are ready to help any time.
Water sports are great apparently. We don't do them, but spoke to many people who spent the whole day kite surfing, diving, snorkelling etc.
Overall, this hotel is so successful due to its low staff turnover. Many of the employees have worked here for years, so the service is very slick and you are made to feel a valued guest. It feels a very genuine welcome, and throughout our stay we were always met with smiling faces and nothing was any trouble.
We are so happy that we have already booked to return again in January! If you are looking for a holiday company to book with, I believe that Love Holidays go here, or Booking.com but we book direct with the hotel.
