Very Disappointing Stay at Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh

The only real positive about our stay at Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh was the room, which was comfortable and pleasant.

Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing.

The pool is far too small and overcrowded for a hotel of this size. It was difficult to find space to properly enjoy it.

The food was another major disappointment. There was very little variety, and much of it seemed to taste the same. Even the salad bar was lacking basic choices — at one point, there wasn't even any lettuce.

The staff were generally just okay. The two exceptions were Karim in the restaurant and the bartenders at the pool bar, who stood out for their friendly and helpful service.

The entertainment was also disappointing. The entertainment team seemed to appear only occasionally, with very little happening during our stay.

One of the most frustrating things was being constantly approached by hotel salespeople trying to sell spa treatments, fruit smoothies, diving excursions, and other services. It became excessive and made it difficult to simply relax and enjoy the holiday.

As for the beach, there really isn't a beach directly accessible from the hotel. You have to walk approximately half a mile along a boardwalk before you actually reach the water. This was very disappointing, especially for anyone booking the hotel expecting a proper beachfront experience.

Overall, this was not the relaxing and enjoyable holiday we expected. Apart from the room and a few members of staff, there wasn't much that impressed us.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh to anyone looking for a pleasant, relaxing stay.

We had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks in a Deluxe Club Double Room for the last two week of August and the trip did not disappoint.

We were a little apprehensive about our holiday having never stayed in Egypt before however our worries were eased during our prompt check in at the hotel.

We were shown our room by the bellboy who explained where everything is within the hotel.

The room itself was amazing, absolutely massive with toiletries also included. We had an amazing sea view also.

The only little downside for us was the food in the buffet restaurant, don’t get me wrong we always found something to eat but the food was quite representative and not always ideal accompaniments with the fish or meat etc but like I say always plenty to pick from.

The 3 speciality restaurants were really good especially the Indian.

With regards to the swimming pool we there were always plenty of sunbeds at any time of the day. I will say that the man who worked in the bar near to the burger shack and towel hut was amazing, always more than happy to make different drinks and was always coming around with fresh bottles of water. I think his name was Heny, he really is an asset to this hotel.

The other stand out member of staff for us was Joseph who worked in the main bar near reception. He was always smiling and always very quick at bringing drinks and crisps when needed.

The entertainment team were always very welcoming but not overpowering when looking for participants.

Last but not least is the sea by the resort, the sea was warm and crystal clear which proved amazing for snorkelling.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the future.
