Paradise again
We were greeted by a lovely welcome back sign and towel creation on bed and met by Ayman our cleaner and mr Hamed manager (lovely touch) Ahmad thanks for all towel creations again Mr Mahmoud for the lovely room you allocated us and all your help throughout our stay. Our cleaner Ayman 6518who kept our room spotlessly clean and the daily towels creations every day absolutely awesome. Reception Ahmed thanks for always opening gym early and all your help throughout our stay Breakfast was a dream Emir always having our tea/ coffee ready for us as we came in, and Amr for all the omelette and eggs perfect every day, and little abdollah a smile every day. Pool area was absolutely spotless kept by Yahai and Ibrahim thank you from your adopted Welsh mother. The daily cleaning of sunglasses by yahai was a lovely touch, Ibrahim(no like shorts you were a star hope English lessons going ok. Pool bar and restaurant thank you all for looking after us Osman(mr charmer) midic hosanna Moustafa Ahmed Hesham you all kept us in drinks without even asking and Osman tiredlessly kept walking around all day. George what can we say always looking after our requests for different meals always with a smile and humour thank you top man glad we had time to spend with you second week.evening restaurant Emir again a star and Mohamed always looking out for our needs, Evening bar Tyson Sammy Ahmed and Sharref and Nord always smiling and having drinks ready Egyptian night the best. Essay fathay thanks for looking out for us and Mamoud always checking we ok Mr Hamed you should be so proud of all your wonderful staff from bosses to gardening men Hyson saieed and rafas all were so polite and smiling. One thing I need to say all these lovely staff serve you with a smile throughout your stay even a small tip is optional but please all people don’t just walk off when you finish your food just please say thank you (all nationalities) for being served. Our last thought goes to our lovely friend Raydah who is not very well speedy recovery we miss you so much Mr Paul and Cheryl

Our first experience of Egypt
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Steigenberger Makadi. Friendly staff, always so accommodating. Manager was always available should you have any problems and seeing him take the time to talk to the guests was something we really appreciated. The treats around the pool each day was a nice gesture. The food at the pool restaurant was always fresh and hot, cooked to perfection. Same applies to the main restaurant breakfast and evening meal. Our 4 course meal by the pool was a very special moment for us and the staff who served us were amazing! Overall an enjoyable, relaxing 5 star holiday! Would highly recommend to stay. We can't thank the staff enough fir looking after us.
Another fab stay
This was our 3rd time here, and would 100% return for a 4th. No matter what their job was, the staff are so attentive, and have pride in their work. Food is excellent, and the chefs are on hand at every meal. The pool team are so friendly, and eager to help. Boogie bar staff were always ready to greet and have a joke. You are doing it well, with so many of the staff still there, well done all. You can take the mini bus from the hotel to the beach, we did this but quickly returned to the comfort of the hotel & pool. The rooms are big, and nicely furnished.
Friends holiday
Please make sure you take trousers even if they are jeans. Overall the hotel is very relaxing and the staff go over and beyond.
Unfairly treated
Food and cleanliness excellent. Poor communication in we asked for massage told it want available by the guy who was selling treatments on the penultimate day we stumbled across the spa to be shown a list of services available again we were never shown or told about the spa . Arrived at 4.30 am we were shown to our room by the torch of the night porters phone. 6 times we had to go back to reception as the key System to our room kept failing. They offered wine list if you paid extra which we were happy to do for better quality in the evening, 5 days there was no white wine available of our choice promised every day there would have the next day didn’t happen . On Checkout we were charged for a service we didn’t receive and were literally held to ransom until we paid , preventing our driver to load our suitcases, admitted on our next visit we would be entitled to this service for free, when we asked to speak to the manager no managers available and please email the following day . If you don’t want anything other than the fully inclusive option you may have a lovely time personally would be pushed to rate it 4 star definitely not a 5 star hotel !!!
