Sunrise Royal Makadi Resort

Had an amazing 4 days stay at sunrise Makadi. Not far from the airport and a lot of activities that you don’t feel like going out of the resort, friendly staff especially the entertainment group rooms are clean and specious, food are delicious beach is amazing I will go for sure back ans stay longer The atmosphere is amazing

This resort is amazing, we enjoyed every minute of our holiday, the staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming and were great with the kids! The food was good, both my boys are autistic and are very picky eaters but this holiday is the first holiday abroad we’ve had that they actually ate and enjoyed the food the resort provided! Room was spacious and clean and was cleaned everyday thoroughly by an amazing cleaner who left us with lovely towel art to come back to! The boys loved the aqua park pool and slides that’s where we spent most of every day, the entertainment was great and so were the entertainment staff, we got on well with Katie and my youngest took a shine to Michael from the entertainment staff! All in all this resort is 5* we will definitely be booking here again and making it 2 weeks as my boys did not want to come home! Highly recommend booking a holiday here

I'd rate it 3.4 overall. I've travelled to many hotels around the world. Positives: Some facilities are excellent with free crazy golf etc. Life guards are all brilliant and very friendly especially Mohammed and Ahmed. Water slides were great. Family room was kept very clean and it was spacious. The beach sunloungers and thatched umbrellas were great and the corals were the best I've experienced anywhere in the world, teeming with hundreds of different species. The restaurants were very good with good food and service, but the buffet was atrocious. Very limited choice and almost the same food every day. Very cheap drinks with no fresh juices and only local brand awful spirits. Poor eco ethics with only plastic water bottles and plastic straws. Some bar staff were very rude, particularly Rafaat at the splash bar, as he ignored people, had poor manners and argued with other staff in Arabic in front of us. Could have better air conditioning in the restaurants so take a usb hand fan! Some sunloungers around the Waterpark pool need renewing. Some hotel staff from the spa harass you around the pool and beach (get a red flag from the towel man to hang up on your sun umbrella).
