Good staff, big pool, spacious rooms everything else was negative
Firstly the staff throughout the whole holiday from Check in, bar staff, restaurant staff were brilliant. The rooms were spacious and the pool were a good size.
Now to the bad parts. Rooms were never cleaned in 10 days, just beds made and fresh towels. Showers are extra slippery. The food was repetitive and had beef goulash pretty much every night. Evening entertainment was apalling and was out the front t of the hotel With a make shift bar who ran out of everything The locations of the hotel is poor. Harassed by staff for a massage or a trip 3-4 time a day. Yousefffrom the entertainment team was brilliant but the rest were poor and rude. Cocktails are shocking

The hotel is very bad first of all check in supposed to be at 12 we got to our room around 2 pm and they kept making us wait and wait we asked for a bellman to take our bags to the 3rd floor where our room is they kept ignoring us until we waited for more than 30 minutes and we took our bags up by ourselves and the room arent the best thing they are very small and they aren't cleaned well and the house keeping is awful and the don't change the sheets and don't clean the bathroom and the towels smell awful they actually smell so bad that they smell not washed and they have insects in the rooms and sheets and no bathroom ventilators while showering overall horrible service in checking in and room service now to the food the food is terrible and disgusting and cheap and it's repeated everyday nothing new except at night they do a national dish from each country and it's terrible they had an Asian night and the sushi was terrible it was basically colored rice and the shrimp wasn't fully cooked and cleaned now to the atmosphere there is only 1 kiddie pool that is 60cm and one large pool that is 120cm that deepens into 150cm and a high pool like a hotub connected to that pool that is also 150cm and isn't always clean and the chlorine is too high in the water and I forgot to mention the service of the staff they are rude and unprofessional as that catcall the guests and have unpleasant stares to our kids and the plates and cups aren't washed well and dining tables have ants and the whole hotel if filled with mosquitos and on the pool they only served foreign guests and ignored us when we asked for a drink over all I didnt like my stay and I don't recommend it at all!!!

Please be aware that the beach is now 25 minutes away by bus . They no longer have the beach close by . ( Walk across the road or buggy ride) 😔🤨 Would not of booked here
ABSOLUTE DISGRACE
ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. IS THIS REALLY WHAT YOU CALL A BEACH HOLIDAY?!
Lemon & Soul Garden Makadi is, without exaggeration, the WORST hotel we have ever stayed in. The whole experience feels like a massive disappointment from the very beginning.
Before our holiday, we were told that the beach was about 5 MINUTES AWAY by shuttle bus and that the shuttle runs regularly throughout the day.
THE REALITY?
We arrived and were told that the beach was CLOSED.
No proper warning before arrival. No clear information in advance.
Instead of a 5-minute transfer, we are being driven around 40 MINUTES to another beach.
40 MINUTES.
Are you serious?
People book a holiday by the sea to relax, not to waste huge amounts of time sitting on a bus just to reach the beach. This is not a small detail. This is completely different from what was presented before the holiday.
And then it gets even worse.
After around 40 minutes, you finally arrive at the so-called “replacement beach” and discover that there are around 10 sunbeds — ALL OCCUPIED.
So after travelling all that way, you have nowhere to lie down, nowhere to sit and practically nowhere to even put your belongings.
IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A SERVICE FOR PAYING HOTEL GUESTS?!
The beach bar is another disaster.
There is nowhere to sit, the whole place feels overcrowded and uncomfortable, and the quality is nowhere near what you would expect from a holiday resort.
The food? Disgusting frozen food and low-quality reheated meals.
The coffee? FROM A THERMOS.
Yes, seriously. Coffee from a thermos.
After travelling 40 minutes to reach a replacement beach, this is the level of service you get.
It honestly feels more like a bad joke than a holiday that people have paid good money for.
The most frustrating part is that if we had been properly informed BEFORE booking that the original beach would be closed, that the replacement beach would be around 40 minutes away, that there would be almost no available sunbeds and that the beach facilities would be this poor, WE WOULD NEVER HAVE BOOKED THIS HOTEL.
NEVER.
This is not a minor inconvenience like a broken light or a small problem in the room.
We are talking about THE BEACH during a holiday in EGYPT.
For many people, the sea and the beach are the main reason for coming here in the first place.
If a hotel cannot provide its guests with reasonable beach access, enough sunbeds, decent food and basic comfort, then this is simply embarrassing.
We are extremely angry and disappointed.
Instead of the relaxing holiday we expected, we got wasted time, long bus transfers, an overcrowded replacement beach, no available sunbeds and extremely poor beach facilities.
Lemon & Soul Garden Makadi — ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED.
If you are expecting a comfortable seaside holiday with easy beach access, a place to lie down and basic decent service, THINK VERY CAREFULLY before booking this hotel.
