My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week-long vacation at Giftun Azur Resort in Hurghada, and we are already missing the Red Sea sunshine!The resort itself is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a relaxed, authentic Egyptian getaway with a great location. The property features lovely, green bungalow-style buildings surrounded by blooming flowers, and the beach area is simply stunning with easy, gradual entry into the crystal-clear water. We spent our mornings walking along the shore and our afternoons lounging under the sun. The food at the main restaurant was surprisingly diverse and tasty, with plenty of fresh options every day, and the staff was always warm and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome. When it came to planning our excursions, we decided to look outside the hotel after comparing options. While our hotel rep offered standard tours, we quickly found out that booking through a local company named Sheriff Egypt was a much better choice. You can easily find them by searching their name online, and their prices are significantly lower than what hotel guides charge!We booked two major trips through them, and both exceeded our expectations:Cairo Small Group Tour: We visited the Pyramids and Cairo in a small group of up to eight people accompanied by a private guide. It felt so exclusive and personal compared to the massive crowded buses. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and we never felt rushed.Hula Hula Island Boat Trip: A magnificent day out on the Red Sea. The yacht we sailed on was completely new, modern, and very clean. The crew and guides spoke fluent English, were extremely polite, and made sure everyone had top-notch snorkeling gear to explore the vibrant coral reefs. If you are heading to Giftun Azur Resort and want to explore Egypt without overpaying, definitely skip the hotel agency and book your adventures with Sheriff Egypt. They truly made our vacation unforgettable!
Fantastic Beach and Friendly Staff
Giftun Azur Resort was the perfect choice for my vacation. The beach was clean and beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. Every day was relaxing, and I truly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely return.
