- Movenpick Resort El Quseir

The Mövenpick Resort El Quseir is seemingly part of the natural environment between sandy mountains and deepest blue seas. Built in traditional Nubian style, this relaxed resort instantly makes you feel at peace. A paradise for scuba diving, snorkeling or a perfect beach holiday. The hotel has 250 rooms and suites in clusters of low-rise bungalows. All rooms offer sea or garden view. 5 restaurants, 3 bars, and extensive sports activities cater to all requirements.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The resort is very well kept , everything is neat and clean. The beach is fantastic ; I believe the best in this area. Above all the stuff is extremely nice respectful helpful. I stayed at room 1806 , far from the main lobby and beach but next to the infinity pool and el fresco restaurant. Its location and view is amazing . The golf cars passing all the time makes nothing far, actually the golf car itself was part of the fun. The hotel main lobby would give you false impression as it’s very humble and small but other than that , everything spot in the hotel was chic elegant in a simple clean way. The views everywhere were breathtaking. The beach is magnificent, you don’t need to use the jetty, you can simply walk into the water and enjoy the corals and fish on your left and right sides. As if you are swimming in a fish tank with clean pure water. So good Downside for the beach ; you have to take lot of stairs ( around 2 floors height) but it’s made in a comfortable way. No toilets directly on the beach. The restaurant at the beach was so far that I only went there once and didn’t eat . The beach bar for lunch and snack must be close to the swimmers not at the end of the beach. The room is equipped with everything you could imagine, even a coffee machine with capsules and it tastes good. Everyone is asking you all the time if you are enjoying or not . So nice The place is so peaceful. Final downside was the food, it was so clean and of good quality but a bit heavy with no much varieties
But is I want to go to marsa alam, I would definitely go to movenpick again😍 Final tip; have your snorkel kit as the view under water was amazing
We stayed here in November with our family, including our two children and my parents. My father and I had an amazing time diving on the house reef. It is truly a beautiful dive site. The food was also absolutely delicious with lots of variations, and the bungalows were clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
We stayed in a family bungalow, which had an extra bedroom for the children, making it perfect for our family.
I would definitely give this hotel 5 stars and will certainly be coming back!
The Hotel is really amazing and especially the new life gard Ahmed at the fresco pool is totally polite! Thank you very much.
Arrival Our stay began with a small, amusing moment: the first staff member frowned at me because I wanted to take my luggage to the reception myself. That was the first and last frown I saw during the entire stay.
Accommodation Before the trip, I emailed the hotel requesting a specific accommodation block. They replied that they had noted my request. Honestly, I didn’t expect much. But upon arrival, they referred directly to my email and assigned me exactly the room I had asked for. They even called the room afterward to confirm that everything was satisfactory.
I had booked a Premium Sea View room. It was beautiful, modern, and fully equipped – coffee machine, kettle, tea selection. Housekeeping was excellent and consistently replenished everything needed.
Dining – A Culinary Heaven The main restaurant Orangerie offers buffet-style dining, but it is far above the usual buffet standard.
Breakfast: an enormous selection. Coffee and tea are served by the staff, which eliminates the typical morning queues at coffee machines.
Egg station: after a few days, the chef remembers your preferences and prepares your favorite style with a smile.
Lunch: varied and high-quality dishes.
Dinner: a different themed cuisine every evening – Asian, Egyptian, Swiss, etc. And if a theme doesn’t suit you, there is always a classic option available.
Al Fresco Restaurant A wonderful alternative to the main restaurant. À la carte dining, excellent ingredients, and a pleasant atmosphere. On my birthday, the staff surprised me with a cake and a warm congratulation. A very thoughtful gesture.
Bars The pool and beach bars offer a wide selection of drinks. After two or three days, the staff already knows your preferred drink and simply confirms it.
Sea & Snorkeling The sea is truly breathtaking. Even from the beach, you can see a rich underwater world: octopus, blue-spotted stingray, coral fish, lionfish, surgeonfish, and many more. From the jetty, the experience is even more impressive – larger rays, a moray eel, and the highlight: a young manta ray, about one meter wide, gracefully gliding through the water.
Although I hadn’t swum in deep water for about ten years, here I simply had to. The underwater world is irresistible.
Staff The staff is one of the main reasons this resort stands out. Professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. They make the stay even more enjoyable.
Bargaining It took me a moment to realize that even some services booked through the hotel (hairdresser, camel ride, etc.) can be negotiated for a better price.
Conclusion Mövenpick Resort El Quseir is a place you want to return to. Excellent accommodation, outstanding food, stunning sea life, and exceptional staff. This was definitely not my last visit.
We have stayed here many times! It has always been a wonderful experience. The resort is beautiful, the rooms comfortable and the staff is very attentive, with special mentioning Fares from the restaurant. The buffet is very diverse with a different theme every evening. The hotel cats are very cute and cuddlely!
