Benefitting from a quiet location in its own grounds, but only a couple of minutes stroll from the beach at Trou aux Biches and the lively resort of Grand Baie, Le Palmiste Resort and Spa is an excellent choice when visiting the north west of Mauritius. The staff at this friendly and welcoming three-star facility will ensure you make the most of your stay – and that you relish every second of life in Mauritius.
Le Palmiste Resort and Spa is beautifully set in its own grounds. Dominated by its large pool and its swaying palms, life is wonderfully laid back here. And yet the huge beach at Trou aux Biches is so close at hand; it's one of the islands finest and a real hub of activity in this part of Mauritius.
While the beach at Trou aux Biches is rightly regarded for its bathing and watersports, you don't have to leave the grounds to enjoy a choice of three exceptional pools at Le Palmiste Hotel. You can splash away to your heart's content or luxuriate in the shade of the palms – you're on holiday and you deserve to enjoy yourself however you like.
The wonderful feeling of relaxation you get when staying at Le Palmiste Resort and Spa definitely extends to the bedrooms. The twin and double rooms are light, airy and very comfortable. And with the late sunlight filtering through from the balcony or terrace, they take on a very atmospheric quality as the sky reddens each evening.
Rooms are all well equipped with satellite TV, telephone, safe and drinks making facilities; you can also upgrade to a Superior room which includes a minibar, free access to Hamman & sauna, turndown service, rum bottle, tea & coffee making facilities for a daily supplement. Just ask for details.
Another exciting addition to the list of facilities at Le Palmiste Resort is the spa specialising in Japanese treatment, including Shiatsu and Reiki in addition to massage treatments. We told you it was relaxing here!
More 'just because' indulgences include the hairdressers and beauty salon – well, you are on holiday.

Great hotel and service.
Very nice hotel, excellent staff and care.Pretty good location, food a little bland but to be expected for tourism
The staff at Le Palmiste were outstanding, very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly staff, always willing to help. Our room was always spotless. Food was a bit repetetive. Very low key entertainment. 3 clean pools.
The hotel staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel, pools and grounds were kept spotlessly clean. The hotel is situated very close to the beach, bus stops, a few shops and supermarket.
All in all a great hotel.
