YOU and ME Maldives

Just returned from 10 days late Aug to Early Sep 2026. My 4th time in Maldives.

Weather forecast was a week of rain but weather was excellent, (a few passing showers lasting only minutes) Dont be put off by Low season.

On the upside.

The dive centre (called Dive Mission) run by Mo Ali (who is Dive Master) is excellent. Mo ( and his team) as well as the boat captain and suppoprt staff are all genuniely lovely. We did 2 dives every morning starting at 8.30am getting back to the island circa 12-12.30. We also did one night dive from 7.15pm.

My wife (being an ex military pilot) had dived in the miltary but wanted a refresher as her last dive was some 23 years ago. Mo took her through but quickly recognised she was more capable than she believed so he adjusted his refresher from basic to more technical.

Mo clearly enjoys diving and was a joy to dive with, he was knowledgble, funny and engaging. His eyesight is laser sharp meaning he sees stuff we didnt and ive done 500+ dives! After each dive we would laugh and joke about the dive or life in general and this level of connection is what makes a holiday.

Mo pushed Gilly a little harder each dive but never too far. He is a supeb confidence builder. Under water high fives are a good way to connect. Some dive masters have a level of arrogance which they dont hide, Mo just loves to dive. He gives space when needed and doesnt over crowd you on dives. He seams to start with 220 bar and comes out with 219 bar !!!

The resort!

Beaches are stunning, Island is beautiful and Staff are superb. The Staff are well trained, attentive and very friendly in both bar & restaurants. From the first greeting at airport to transfer to sea plane terminal lounge, arrival at resort jetty and check in was excellent. Quick tour of island on golf buggy before dropped off at out over water room was good way to quickly get a feel.

Room was clean and daily room clean/turn down excellent. There were a few days where our mini bar wasnt stocked fully and when we ordered ice to our room it took a few hours to arrive which is poor service.

There are signs that this resort needs a little TLC. Some kick rails along jetty missing and some questionable joinery work/maintennace needed on ladder into water, but this didnt really take away from the feel of the resort.

Menu in island restaurants are very good as is the quality of cooking and food presentation. Wine choice and cocktails excellent also.

The Candlelit dinner on the beach sounds romantic and the setting is beautiful but you are a little abandoned by staff and wine/water refils are slow.

H2O Underwater restaurant :- This is viusually stunning and i recommend it as there arent many underwater restaurants but $580 for dinner (excluding wine) for 2 is poor value. I say this not as the food is bad but compared against the quality of the food in the restaurants you have already paid for (in your all exclusive package) it just simply isnt good enough to justify this price. H2O passes as Mitchelin Star but it sits below this level. One aspect however is the toilets in H2O flush from the restaurant directly into the sea above and adjacent to the perspex glass. So eating your dinner and watching the fish/sharks etc you also get to watch the bowel movements of the table next to you. This is quite disgusting and likley designed to be unnoticeable when there is a strong ocean current or choppy water. We noticed it. Worse when you exit H2O restaurant and climb back upstairs onto the jetty where you are treated to the smell of human waste. Why a holding tank wasnt designed in is beyond me! Perhaps an area to address. !!!!!!

Overall this is a good resort. a little bit of investment by the owners would make this into a great resort.

There is no house reef so snorkeling compared to other resorts is weaker, but if you arent into snorkling then this isnt an issue. We has 3 turtles swim past our over water room so that was a high point. Dolphins spotted on a couple of dive trips. No Mantas and no mermaids however.

We stayed at You & Me Maldives with my wife and had an absolutely amazing experience! ❤️

We stayed in an overwater villa, and it was simply perfect. The villa was very clean, comfortable, and had an incredible view of the ocean. Waking up every morning surrounded by this beauty was unforgettable.

The food was absolutely fantastic — everything was delicious, fresh, and there was plenty of variety. The beach was beautiful, clean, and the ocean was just breathtaking.

The staff and service were excellent throughout our entire stay. A special thank you to our Butler, Nihad, who was amazing and always ready to help us with anything we needed. He made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time here as a couple and truly enjoyed every moment of our vacation. Beautiful villa, amazing food, fantastic service, and an incredible atmosphere.

We definitely recommend You & Me Maldives and would love to come back again! 🌴🌊❤️
