This charming hotel enjoys a convenient location in the centre of Gouves village, in the Heraklion regional unit of Crete, in Greece. Nikos Kazantzakis International Airport is some 16 kilometres away while nature lovers will find Dikti Mountains some 47 kilometres away. Surrounded by a beautiful green area ideal to enjoy a pleasant walk, this establishment provides a choice of bright rooms featuring a functional décor based on soothing tones to create a relaxing atmosphere in which to completely unwind. The onsite facilities and services include a sparkling outdoor pool with a separate area for children as well as a playground for younger guests, all for a comfortable stay in the vibrant Crete.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

I am absolutely disgusted. The standard of cleanliness is none existent. The food is disgusting. The room I was in was falling apart, cracked tiles all throughout the bathroom. Told me not to sit on the bed for the first hour I was in the room because I was waiting for someone to come fix it. No TV, No aircon (unless you paid 8€). All inclusive is absolutely shocking drinks selection. And even worse started our holiday off without a room. They said we could sleep on the sofa in reception until it was sorted (this took them until 14:30. I arrived at 04:30am) waiting 10+ hours for a room, so no access to tend to personal hygiene, no saftey for my belongs.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is our 8th visit its just like coming home We get a great welcome back always from the staff The food was quite good and tasty , not a lot of variety but very good for 3 star. The rooms always clean towels replaced every 2 days. Pool always clean no fight for sun beds either The toilets downstairs for public have had a make over and look a lot better With motion lighting also This is a great hotel for a nice relaxing break Yes it is near the main road but it is cross able at the crossroads. Our family followed us to this hotel to see why we love it so much and they love it too The staff always friendly from Kateriba at the reception Manos at the bar and In restaurant in morning and Emanuel in restaurant in evening. We will be back

We knew this was a 3 star hotel, and wasn't expecting it to be brilliant. The hotel itself is very nice, our room was adequate for our needs, but could do with updating. Also the cleaners need to clean under the beds, very dusty. All inclusive very poor, no food on arrival as we were late arriving (not our fault). The next 7 days the food was basic, cold and not very appealing. We even had to clear away our crockery etc, even though there was a waiter to do it. The kitchen staff were constantly picking at the food that was for us customers, wearing black hygiene gloves that they had been wearing each service and had been rearranging things in between eating the food themselves. Surely if they needed to eat they should have been out of view. The all inclusive bar was standard, nothing mentioned about cocktails The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Also annoyed at the cost of the Aircon 8 euros a day.
My honest review as a young 61 year old If you want a quiet, very quiet holiday this is definitely the place for you, I thought I'd give going singles ago, mainly because they promise 50% men and women. When I booked up I particularly booked this one because they were nearly full., lol . 2 weeks before I rang directly to make sure the holiday was still on because they mention if there's not enough people the holiday would be cancelled. I was told it was fully booked . So to my surprise when I got there only three single men. Including myself. A very disappointing start, as the main reason I come away with going to singles is because of their promise, The two guys I met we tried to make the best of it by booking excursions. Which are all obviously extras. It wasn't until the second week two lovely ladies turned up, again, we try to make the best of it. But unfortunately I've done the only two excursions they could give us as there was not enough people in the group unless we were willing to pay double to go on the excursions which seems unjust to me, The hotel itself is just a basic three Star hotel. Nevertheless, the staff are very friendly. The hotel is very clean. The food pretty basic . Some days the food was tasty and good. But the food was repetitive . Same thing, breakfast for instance, real fried eggs some mornings with turkey, bacon beans which could be cold. But some mornings like cheese, quiche, egg, rubbery with spam . Definitely what I would not call a breakfast? Evening dinners mash and on some occasions you would get lamb. Which was soft and tender , fairly basic. All-Inclusive drinks stop at 10:30. After which you have to pay. Where I would go to the central bar you get more for your bucks with singing and entertainment which is the only thing that made my holiday 5-minute walk away across a dual carriageway very dangerous to cross. Absolutely zero entertainment on evening. Not even a dart board. The only entertainment you get is with you paying out for excursions. For me, the only excursions worth going on are the boat excursions . Unless you want to pay €60 to look at old rocks. Monuments if that floats your boat . For me personally, I would rather go look at the rocks on the sea. It's cheaper. I did go on the Jeep Safari. Which is like being in a tumble dryer in the back of the Jeep. We did not go to the lake or go swimming that day cuz it was cold and cloudy. They did take us to some caves. You can look at caves in Cornwall for free?. After realising how much single supplement I paid for this holiday, I could have easily have got a four or five-star hotel on the beach. And probably I've had more chance meeting single women. To my great surprise there are many, many lonely, single men and women that have come up on this holiday. With other brokers, many single people in the Central bar, Which has some great entertainment for singing and dancing,. For me personally my experience of going singles. I feel like I was completely lied to and I would pick a better hotel which has a better selection of food and entertainment. As you have to make your own fun in the despo hotel, The beds are comfortable, not rock solid, but the place itself seems like it's for old ', '60s and '70s . Definitely not for a young 60 like me?, The only real reason I come with going singles was to mingle. Which one did not deliver? So if you do book with going singles specifically ask the question, how many of the opposite sex are coming on this trip and get it in writing because I was completely and utterly lied to. I filled the trip should have been cancelled because they didn't have the numbers? Be warned the Wi-Fi is beyond useless. Keeps cutting off and if you leave your data roaming on you are going to have a big bill. You cannot get Wi-Fi in room 508 so there's no way can use your phone to even sit and watch a film in your own bedroom? At my age I have had many holidays and by far this was the worst one and the most I have ever paid, And so for me because of the numbers the worst experience I've ever honestly had. I wish I could tell you different,, if I ever come back to Crete I will go to a hotel that has some kind of entertainment, that has a better food selection. Pasta and rice most nights mesh and vegetables. And chicken. You can get kids at this hotel And other foreign nationals, that seem to load their table up with starters, dinners and afters before they've even. Start to eat. So if there is a nice pudding or chocolate cakes, And they're specifically overindulged people that come for just all inclusive. You can find that all the lovely cakes are on their table before they even start eating their starters. I feel this is morally wrong as I go get my stars then my dinner and then I will try to get my afters and it's sitting on other people's tables but have not even started their afters and then most of it they throw in the bin because they say it's all inclusive, with no consideration for other people doing it in the correct manner, they're eyes are bigger than their stomachs. Like big Beth. For instance, she took the whole tray of chocolate cakes and we didn't get a chance to get any chocolate cake cuz it's on Beth's table. If this is our other foreign nationals act, I don't really want to be around them. I don't know if they were dragged up or they're just greedy people in the end when in Rome if you want. Nice afters put it on your table before you have your starters and your dinner because the likelihood you're not going to get nice afters. I did ask for some chocolate cake but they bought that strawberry cake which was lovely . Just be warned if big Beth is there 20 stone plus who's there just to eat as much as she can. She will put her afters on the table stopping you getting the lovely chocolate cake?. I asked myself what nationalities do this, Very annoying when you see they Chuck most of it away, personally, I go and get one meal at a time because sometimes your stomach might be full. There eyes are bigger than their stomachs, unfortunately the last 3 days rain and clouds clearly not going singles responsibility for the weather but there's absolutely nothing to do in this hotel, Cost of holiday £1399. Come away with €400 of spending . Pulled out an extra €240 waste on the holiday. The most expensive holiday I've ever had for basic very basic boring hotel. You would be far better off to pay the extra to go to a four or five star hotel that has entertainment where you can drink till midnight being all inclusive with a better food selection and probably on the beach as it is quite a walk to a beach when crossing busy road. I do hope this honest review stops any heartache of disappointment for anybody else. I am from the UK.
