Simply stunning hotel
A flamingo pink hotel set on a white beach sounds weird but has to be seen to be believed, it's beautiful. We stayed for 11 days in November 2018 as our first trip to this amazing island. We had booked a super saver room which was quite adequate. However after asking the manager for an option, we were fortunate enough to be moved to a far more substantial room at no extra cost. This is not the norm, we were just very lucky that they had availability. The standard of food in the hotel was very good but we mainly ate out at a variety of eateries along the Gap. We found all the staff to be very friendly and so helpful with everything needed during our stay The hotel is set on what we found to be one of the very best stretches of beach on the island. Turtles came up the sands at night to lay their eggs and were well protected by the staff. We visited several neighbouring hotels and didn't find any as attractive and comfortable as Silver Sands. In our opinion this is the premium hotel in the area. Highly recommended. We hope to return but still quite a lot of the world to see.

Too expensive
due to family concerns I had to stay in a hotel for a few nights. Silver Point is right next to where I was staying so I checked in. I got an ocean front room which was nice but no wifi which doesn't fly in this day and age. the location is in the less attractive part of Barbados which caters to windsurfers and kiters. the housing is very inexpensive yet the hotel is close to $400/night which is not competitive with its location. As a result if has very little clientele so the bulk of the rooms have "gone to seed" and are closed off. this gives the place a depressing atmosphere and it will soon close like the Silver Sands hotel nearby.

Good value hotel near airport
I stayed one night and booked the hotel last minute. Wasn’t sure what to expect given some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. My room was a standard king but actually was a suite with separate living area and kitchenette. The staff were attentive and helpful and made me feel very welcome. They were flexible with my check out time and the security staff were always offering to help with my bags. Highly recommend.

Overnight business stay
My room was renovated, clean and very nice with a great view. Picture below.
I did not like that there are no elevators. Someone needed to come and carry my luggage up and down.
What was the worst part for me, there is nothing nearby! If you don’t have a car it is very hard and expensive to get anywhere. I was starving and the only restaurant was theirs. It was pouring out and I had to walk outside to the restaurant. I wanted my meal to go, so I carried it back in the rain without a good cover for it. When I did get back to the room the food was awful and trashed it. There needs to be more eating options!
I couldn’t stay for more than 1 night.
Abandoned
This property is abandoned. It appears to have been abandoned for some time now. Neighbours said that COVID didn’t help but that management also disintegrated. Judging from the reviews, it was a lovely spot at one time and it is right on the beach, but I was ther in March and it is currently in ruins.
