Surrounded by the mystique of Greek legends, a trip to Paphos could be a holiday of mythical proportions. Famed for its sandy beaches and sparkling blue waters, it's no wonder that Paphos is home to Aphrodite's Rock, where the goddess of beauty was said to be born.
Whilst beach bums could easily while away the hours gazing at the majestic Mediterranean Sea on their Paphos holiday, there is also much to be seen inland as well. The remains of many regal Greek and Roman villas, palaces and tombs can be found by holidaymakers exploring the Paphos area. Nature lovers on a holiday to Paphos will also marvel at the diverse flora and fauna, as well as the spectacular Adonis Baths, a two-level waterfall with refreshing water from the mountains.

The climate is typically Mediterranean and due to its location can work out as one of the hottest parts of the region during the summer. Summers are hot and dry (they can be completely rainless from May - mid-September), the summer skies are generally cloudless. Inland the Troodos and Kyrenia mountain ranges are refreshingly cooler. During the winter months, the weather is still pleasant although some rainfall may be experienced with anywhere between 117 - 133mm for Dec and Jan. Cyprus is generally a very sunny island, this goes for winter too with the sun out for approximately 6 hours per day. In summer there can be 12 to 13 hours of sun per day.
